This is pretty much exactly what I do for back and shoulders, heavy rows work well too, I’ve made a lot of progress just doing lateral raises and bent over raises for delts

If he is still natty, probably just went on a recomp or something similar and then started prioritizing his weak points, and the slimmer waste is is cus he just trained abs with a intent crazy. He pretty much did the same thing as natural hypertrophy

There have been videos with commenters being stupid enough to worry about doing core workouts for fear of getting a wide waist. I'm like 'Mofo you have zero evidence of that BS, find someone who had a thin waist when they were young/before they got fit, and now has a wide waste after as they work out / do core workouts... If anything the biggest impact is simply shrinking in waist size due to losing fat. I myself am an example of that

@@frockkI like using both a underhand mid workout really gets a pump going and at the end I do wide neutral grip with slow eccentrics

A cut for a year is insane, just eat at maintenance and lift hard you’ll get bigger and won’t gain fat and you’ll get that v taper

Heavy weight 6 - 10 reps. 4 is sometimes the way to go too (only if you're new to it)
