For season 3 I just want more Geralt, Yennefer & Ciri screen time together.
I don't care if they don't let Ciri go through the Witcher Mutations. She is already more powerful then a Witcher. I just hope she earns a medallion and officially is able to call her self a Witcher. I also just hope she becomes a witcher because any other path will lead to corruption. Witcher's like is a Ronin life helping others and being selfless. Any other path for Ciri will lead to corruption. She will just fall in to more trouble and Geralt will have to bail her out. Having a powerful Witcher will put a check on the corruption that tries to get into the verse.
AGREED
For season 3 you will see more of Ciri and Yen cause she will be training with Yen.
@@brucebanner1472 Fringilla was not technically bad in this season. Remember Fringillia and Yen were manipulated at the beginning of the season. Yen decided to leave cause she was driven to get her magic back, Fringillia was desired to stay to gain more political power. If Yen hadn't lost her powers, her motiviations would of been completely different and possibly could of been to align more with fringillas. Also Yen was pretty much the main tool to release the main evil villian this show. Ultimately i just want Ciri and Geralt, that is it. Mages in general in the Witcher universe usually work for their own interest. I think triss has probably been the only selfless mage in the stories that Ive seen.
@@anthonygordon9483 I actually hope they don’t have her go through the mutations. I think it would be a lot more powerful.
Henry's true devotion to keeping this as close to the source material as possible is exactly why he is the perfect Geralt. The man is an absolute monster on screen, loved this season. Anya and Freya are absolutely smashing their roles and were perfect choices as well. I cannot wait for the next season from them all.
Leave it to the Brits to make another massive hit like Game Of Thrones
@@BigDsGaming2022 lets pray this one ends differently lol
@@NickSibz yes
@@NickSibz Don't know, what Lauren Hissrich has to say in this clip kind of got me worried. I really hope they won't stray to much from the books and do something stupid that's gonna feel unnatural and that doesn't represent the characters in the books. Like they did to Eskel this season, turned him in an annoying douchebag and killed him off.
@@BigDsGaming2022 How dare you! Don't jinx the Witcher. That show should never be spoken of again.
Was a diehard fan of Geralt and Yennefer's relationship from the books already but these two takes it to a whole other level. Absolutely can't get my eyes off of them anytime they're together onscreen. Love this show and the cast even more
I wish there was more Geralt and Yennifer. In both seasons they squished all their scenes into 2 episodes (season one not til episode 5, season 2 not til episode 6) WE NEED MORE. Thank you
i actually ship the father daughter geralt and ciri relationship just fine. Its very wholesome
It's a pretty fast paced show. I'm happy they at least give the characters some time to grow.

this was my biggest disappointment with season 2, i needed more of them, it wouldnt be so bad if we didnt have to wait so long for the next seasons lol
I couldn't agree more. Iam watching it only because of Geralt and Yen relationships
Anya is a very promising actress keep a watch on her she's gonna go big someday, no doubt! She has such an elegant persona too!

Triss and Geralt have a beautiful friendship and I'm loving it, Yennefer and Geralt and Ciri are meant to be.
But cast for triss is so blunt, yen and ciri being about the same age giving me headache.
@@GAMEOVER-yy6zj But mages can live hundreds of years, so even though I think they are only four years apart in real life, in the show they are more like 80 years apart. I think Yennifer comes across as much older and maternal toward Ciri. I liked how they played it out. The actors are very talented.

Anya is awful as Yennefer. She is nowhere close to the character. And yes, by the way, really bad actress. Crying all the time, like a soap opera.

@@slobodanmarkovic1983 first off, its not reality. You're being dillusional and biased I'd say for whatever reason. I liked her character and she portrayed it so well also looking at all the comments everyone seems to be at the same page as me unlike you.
Triss is more of a sister to Ciri, Yen a mother. Team Yen all the way! Yen always wanted to be a mother, all three of them Geralt, Yen and Ciri fill the missing pieces in one another and that creates and extremely strong bond. It’s destined to be those 3, Djinn or not.
always team Yennefer! Yennefer is the only real choice, Geralt has only ever loved Yennefer and no one else, in the books it was always Geralt & Yennefer the real couple. Triss was never an option, Geralt never loved Triss, he only ever treated her like a friend that's all, even though Triss was always crazy obsessed with him but he rejected her many times. So it's ridiculous that the games would even make Triss an option. The only reason there is even this "team Yennefer vs team Triss" debate is because of the games, but Geralt & Triss were never together in the books, it's ridiculous how the games had over-glorified Triss and her role and her relationship with Geralt in the games, they were always just friends that's all.
When the dwarf Zigrin told Ciri about not to make the mistake Triss is doing: to confuse compassion with love- the scene in saga 1 chap.4 the author speaks clear to us and for all Triss hypers, Geralt cares for her, bc. he always is helping people.
The real love triangle hinted at in the second season is between Jaskier, Yennefer and Geralt

I just really wish a proper Witcher fan could interview Henry. It's more because of him and his dedication to this show that makes us fans have faith that it won't be ruined. All I've seen are questions about 'that song' or if he 'had to prepare in advance'. The man has said countless times he is a huge fan of the books and games, and if you had any clue about either of them you would know it's not something you are ever likely to forget. So many missed opportunities for questions for the fans. Congrats to all involved in the show, it's truly amazing 👏
Agree 100%!
This is just junket stuff. There's plenty of better interviews with him if you do a search.
Too late. How can anyone who knows the source material go along with this garbage?
@@scottyalto if you don't like it don't watch it 🤷♂️. If the source material is so important, go read the books again.
Did you watch that Geeked interview from Netflix? The host on that show actually really likes the Witcher lore and doesn't ask him or the others any pop culture questions. All the questions are lore related
I love that there was depth to Yen! If Yen had of just taken Ciri on as her own straight away it would have made her shallow. Yen struggles with a lack of "something" and thinks that's a child but when presented with that she realises her power defines her so struggling with those elements shows she has the depth of both of those and Is a three dimensional character. That doesn't take away from Yen and Geralt it just shows what the books and games always did that Yen and Geralt are complicated and often hurt each other but their love is still there. It was powerful and a great decision I think.
I binge watched the whole season 2 yesterday it was great and I want more! I hope we don't have to wait another 2yrs for another season
It feels bittersweet watching something that was 2 years in the working in 2 days.
I reckon a year and a half wait for season3 covid and Henry’s injury made it take longer
The script for S3 is already done, but shooting will probably not start until February. First season took 6 months to film, post-production was another couple of months. Lets hope covid won't get in they way this time, then we have a slight chance to see S3 next December..
YOU DON'T RUSH PERFECTION. I much rather wait 3 years for an incredible season than one year for a mediocre one

Yennefer and Geralt were so wholesome and beautiful🖤

I really enjoyed seeing Yen grow and change throughout the season and find that the power she had was for more than just magic it was her intelligence and her intuition and her bravery and her perseverance and her refusal to be put down or shoved aside by anyone.
i think my fav thing in season 2 were the yenn+jaskir and yenn+cahil scenes
Aight, I’m gonna say it. There was most definitely not enough Jaskier in this season. I feel like they put way too many unnecessary extra characters on screen for no reason, so he got less screen time. They did him dirty this season. Here’s to hoping we see way more of him in season 3, as it appears the storyline is leading up to that, what with the benefactor at the end claiming it’s time for the bard to pay him back.
Well, Jaskier DID get a lot more attention this season and showed some maturity and growth, became more then a silly sidekick of season 1 and according to the producer chick it was all because the fans demanded it.
So it's cool.
@@davisor7116 👏🏽
YES. ALL shows do this. Timeless did it too. Fans wanted the key three characters and after they got renewed thanks to the fans they separated them. I feel like the Witcher did the same thing. It wasn't until episode 6 that Yennifer and Geralt were together and poor Jaskier was forgotten about til episode 4. WHY do shows always take away what fans like and bring in new characters that take over a show that already works? They did it to Timeless, now the Witcher and countless otehr shows.
Season 2 is bomb. These two are beautiful in it 🤩
totally agree! The taking time for character development is great and i think although season 2 moved quite fast through a lot of events from the books, it fitted perfectly well into the cinematic universe. I played witcher 3 4 times in great detail, watched let's plays of witcher 2 and read a lot of lore but not the books, YET!! Will definitely do though. For me, I am totally fine with the visuals, portrayals of the game, love the little details, even if it's just the grind stone in kaer morhan and can watch easily over different skin and hair colors....
I am just in love with the series and want to know how it goes on! Season 2 is awesome!
I love their relationship and I hope that there will be more in s3 🥰 s2 there wasn’t so much BUT both individually were amazing and the father/daughter type relationship of Geralt & Ciri.
I‘m looking forward to them as a 3people family
Love that Lauren told viewers to read Time of Contempt if they want to know what’s gonna happen in season 3. It is my favorite too, tragic and beautiful.
Triss is really strong and beautiful and I love her character development this season but Geralt's heart will only belongs to Yennifer ❤❤
Anya WILL make to the big scene, there’s just something about her
As someone who does not like Triss in the games, I LOVE Triss in the show. Not because she is my "favorite character", but she feels more real. In the games, Triss comes off as one dimensional, like someone wrote out their flawless, gaslighting, fantasy girl and pasted it on to Triss. I love the brief anger, sadness, and confusion you see on Anna's face when Geralt rejects Triss. How she stands up for Ciri until she figures out what Ciri might be, and runs to tell. The way her insecurities, from her body being "mutilated," is depicted. It makes me actually enjoy Triss as a character.
wait what??????where dis she bought this "fan divided for yenifer and geralt & tris and geralt" thing. THERE IS NO TRIS AND GERALT. Only Yenifer and Geralt. debunk these lies please.
Yeah, it's very clear in the book. It's probably fans of the game
the game has a lot of fans
i mean.... didn't she say exactly that?
We deserve as beautiful love story for Geralt and Yen, as it is in the books. Season 2 spoiled all chemistry and passion between them, that's such a shame! Please, in season 3 give us that part of the story, show us their deep mutual understanding, love and ...you know what 😏
I loved the second season, binged it all in a day. Good stuff.
I'm just SO FUCKING GLAD that both Lauren and Henry are SO FIRM on their opinion that LOVE TRIANGLE IS BULLSHIT!

Geralt must be with Yenn. It is written in the novel. To change it will make a lot of fans angry. In RPG video game, it's normal to have choices for our character. Naturally, we can choose between Yenn and Triss or both. When playing the game, I stick to source material so I choose Yenn despite not really liking the way Yenn expresses his love for Geralt.
There is no way team Triss and Yen have the same amount of fans. Who even ships Geralt and Triss,no logic
Anyone who started with the Witcher 3 - both Yen and Triss have fantastic storylines so even for a die-hard Yen fan - Triss is a fantastically developed character
@@scuttle89 not true. When me and my brother played witcher 2 we didn't hear of the books before. We thought Geralt and Triss were the main couple until the Story became clear and we were shocked to see that Yennefer was his original lover and Triss just snatched Yen's man while he had amnesia.
We wanted to break up with Triss if they witcher 3 didn't do that for us already for her toxic behavior.
It was obvious that Yen is the one he loved.
always wondered why triss did not tell geralt Yen was alive when she came to help ciri. Either a writers mistake or does this make triss a little jealous since geralt rejected her advances
It's true to Triss's character, she was manipulative in the books and games and she did not tell Geralt the truth about his relationship with Yennefer and took advantage of his amnesia in the games. Triss was always jealous of Geralt & Yennefer's relationship.
@@iamlinda100 although that's true for books and game, in the tv show, i don't think Triss really knew that Geralt and Yen even knew each other so no point in bringing it up. In S1 EP 08 just before the battle of Sodden Hill, Triss told Yen that she had enlisted a witcher, Geralt of Rivia, to help free the striga. Yen's response was to avoid his kind because they were so often disappointing. That doesn't say anything about her being intimately involved or even remotely aware of him and how would Triss put 2x2 together? How was Triss to know? And Geralt never said anything about Yen or his grieving of her to anyone in Kaer Morhen.
@@celticbabs3105 I will have to disagree with that because in one episode when she returns to Tissaia and they talk about Geralt and Ciri looking for yen after the battle, she is beats her to mentioning Yen's name, implying that she knew that Geralt was looking for Yen after all.
She didnt know that he thought Yen was dead and he never asked either
there is a scene Yen after arriving back meets up with classmates and triss was there, they go to bathe but triss did not want to cause of injuries, later we hear she was sent on away which was to train ceri and see geralt. It is this scene that showed triss knew.
Man, without Henry knowing, loving, respecting and defending the source material, Netflix would have netflixed the story even more.

I just love the continual pulling back to the "it's all about the source material". I've heard that from near every cast and the Executive Producer.
The first season was a bit tough to follow (but the second viewing helped a great deal understanding the history back story), but season 2 was fantastic and so much better to start running along with the story. Each and every cast member are doing an amazing job. So much fun and Season 2 finished far too soon. Roll onto Season 3!
"It's all about the source material" Excuse me, is this a joke? They strayed faaar far away from the books my friend.
I thought the inverted chronology was a great narrative device. Multiple character arcs in a single unifying storyline, that brought them all together, and allowed some truly engrossing backstory to fill narrative exposition with story discourse.
@@ionutluchian9720 I'm only repeating what Cavill et al have said. Maybe their explanation could be better put, possibly 'the essence of the original feel of the books was kept in mind'.
I don't know because i haven't read the books but with the cast and crew suggesting the books being the influence (and not the games as I'm more acquainted). I still enjoy the show.
It reminds me of Lord of the Rings how Jackson was wanting to keep the essence of the books, Tolkien's imagining. They did but they also strayed and added more than the books had, but still the world stayed true. As did in my eyes. Once I get the chance to read the books I may change my opinion but Cavill and the Exec Producer and Show Runner have said that keeping the feel of the books was a stipulation in the contract.
@@santyclause8034 Don't get me wrong, on the second viewing (and not acquainted with the books) I started to understand the arcs and thought it was quite interesting the way they detailed the back stories and how they came to be at the conclusion of the season finale. I think what threw me I didn't notice the story jumps. It was obviously easy for the Yennifer character and less so with Ciri and Geralt. As I say ... second viewing cleared it up for me. And I can't wait for season 3

Just a few wishes:
1. Please don't invent random witchers. They were killed easy and fast by monster even though they are trained during their whole life for that (that's why they were plenty and nameless?)
2. Don't kill characters randomly like they've done to Eskel. We need profound characters as they are not many 👌🏻
3. Improve dialogs! in the book and game are even better.
4. What's wrong with Vesemir? He never wanted to do the Herbs Trial to the first newcomer he's presented to. 99% people die in that trial. Please!
5. Little people know where is located Kaer Morhen. It's stupid and against the lore to fill the fortress with hookers and make an orgy 🤣
Ty ty ty ty. Finally!
lol Vesemir felt like a creepy uncle confused why he was there
Just listening to the show runner in this video scares me. On one hand we have Henry who wants to stay as true as possible to the source material, and then the show runner saying she’s going to try and stay true to the morals of the stories, and then Henry mentioning that what the show runner has come up with for season 3 is mainly original material, yeah I’m worried.
Em, but herbs trial is literally made from Ciri's blood. It won't affect her like normal person, so i think Vesemir has a point
I’m definitely a Geralt/Yen shipper and don’t feel a love triangle is necessary for the show. Keeping Triss and Geralt as close friends is what’s needed.
That’s what’s missing from shows today, friendships. Don’t go down the path of a typical triangle that ends the same. Man/Woman returns to the person they loved in the beginning. It’s played out and used out. A simply boring to watch.
They all are connected in their own way and all love each other in their own way that is what drives all of them to do the things they do. Showing and navigating through those types of relationships are what good TV is. It shows character development how they maneuver through their feelings of one another.
Geralt and Yen are in love and all that entails. They will hurt one another, love, trust, distrust etc. However in the end they really are in love even without the djiin magic. I do hope they explode and expand on that in future seasons if they continue moving forward. I loved this season and can’t wait what happens next!
“I’m a big fan of the source material” ❤️ That comes straight from the heart ❤️😆
Geralt and Yen are like 2 old couple that’s constantly bickers and throw insults at one another. This is because they are deeply in love with one another
Great session overall. Hats to the cast.

Everyone involved in this production is great, but God, Henry Cavill is low key the beating heart of this adaptation and reason for it's success....not just in terms of onscreen talent but his behind the scenes involvement and dedication. You can tell he truly has passion for the world and lore.....listen to the language he uses..."preserving" as much source material as possible "CAMPAIGNING" for it!! Henry is ACTIVELY holding those conversations behind the scenes and fighting for that. And you see his love of the world-building in other ways too, like in a different interview he discussed having extensive conversations with Kim so they could flesh out their relationship a lot more than what was on the page and make it not so "one-tonal", given they were supposed to know each other since Geralt's childhood. They SOUGHT TO DEVELOP THAT THEMSELVES. They weren't directed to.
This man CARES about this project, so so much...
What love triangle? It's Geralt and Yennefer, through and through, nothing else.

Cahir : Should spend time between fire in Cintra and Thanedd in PRISON not be COMMANDER of Nilfgaard invasion.I dare you name 1 character in any season wnich is even 50% true to the source material. Not mention some mind blowing scenes like Rience or hookers just come to Kaer Morhen. And worst crime of all : Netflix destroyed great relationships between Geralt,Ciri and Yennefer with cutting best parts wnich were building this bonds (Brokilon in season 1,Golden Dragon hunt in season 1,Yennefer spending half year with Ciri training her and slowly adopting her as daughter, meeting of Wild Hunt becoming great come back of Geralt and Yennefer romance). You can like this tv series but don't say is following anything from the books. If you say that i don't believe you read this book with understanding.
i hope this is ironic
@@kevinwilson455 You're messing with us right? None of the characters have the same personalities, motivations or plotlines as they did in the books. Characters that weren't important at all in the book have major parts in this show. Characters that are important weren't fleshed out or developed like they were in the books. Politics are pretty much none existent in the show. And there are some seriously major plotholes that are left unexplained.
How can you claim that this was like the books? Perhaps you need to re-read them.
The show is pretty good. I like it. But no way can you claim this is an adaptation. Using the same character names and taking things in the general direction of the books is not an adaptation, it's a remake.
I’ve not watched season two yet but I have read the books and there is no love triangle between Triss & Geralt. Only in Triss’ dreams cos she is a little obsessed with Geralt. But only because he is Yennifer’s and she wants a taste.
Geralt is a womaniser but there is only one woman who he truly loves.
Time of contempt is without a doubt the best piece in the series... S3 has potential to be the best yet! Looking forward

I didn't know he sounded like that. Much better than listening to the Geralt voice all the time.
I need more Istredd and Triss next season!
Sad I have to wait now for season 3
