I cant believe Henry did this much for the role. I thought he was an obvious choice. I watched the show for him and I loved it.
Given how much is required of Jaskier as a character, beyond being able to act, I can completely understand why that would have been the hardest role to cast without having to cut corners. Joey is absolutely PERFECT as Jaskier and does steal nearly every scene he is in.
If there's one thing to take away from this, it's that you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. They all got their roles despite competition and doubts. Henry was persistent, Anya proved others' doubts wrong, Freya's small role was upgraded to a lead role, Joey hardly had any time to prepare but was diligent and showed up prepared and honest. We always wonder "what if I fail"... but it's important to remind yourself "what if I get exactly what I want". Go after your dreams
After having just watched Eamon Farrens’ “Chained” movie I can say this man is so skilled at switching to any role required of him. In Chained he’s meek, he shuffles and fidgets. In the Witcher he’s strong and emits power.
It’s incredible watching his films.
The casting of Cavill and Anya was the best decision. The have phenomenal performances
Henry nailed his role, he has a hell of a screen presence and he's English my next of the woods, and he is a NERD a gaming nerd he loves and plays the game and understands the fans reactions.
Everyone was looking for a replacement for Game of Thrones and this might not have a cast of millions, but I love it and the cast.
No one as in no one is a better fit than Henry as Geralt.

The cast for the important characters is like miracles coming to together it's insane... I haven't played the games (even though I badly wanted to, jusr financially unable) but watching the series, I immediately fell in love with the story and now I'm slowly going to work my way to eventually buy the books.
The men is a perfect fit... it's nice that someone actually read and played the witchers and had to fight for the role, even he has allready made a name.

She did her job well. I found myself having a sore neck and jaw during her first episodes because she so convincingly sold Yen's deformities. I still find myself clenching my teeth when I rewatch🤣
She's does a good job, but she deffinetly looks and sounds a bit too young.

Anya is the best choice for Yennefer even if Eva Green looks more Yennefer from the games.She is not that experienced on the big screen but that don't mean that she do not deserve a chance.She is really femomenal as Yennefer and i really can't imagine someone at that role now after the season 2 ended.Her age gasp with Henry makes Yennefer and Geralt even more intense,because you know that he is hundered years old and she us much younger than him and it's said at the books so yeah.The cast is amazing as they are!
Makes ye wonder what truly went down for Henry to be recast in season 4. 😢 We may never know for sure.
That unpleasant bit aside, Joey really is a gem on Jaskier, through and through. Hopefully he'll be able to carry the show in the future seasons. The show won't be the same without Henry, but one can hope he'll return someday.

i mean all cast so far was great, yes there are questionable and unnecessary casts based on some PR stuns from them but hey it is US company of nowdays and so far they didnt forced so far these "PR stuns" in to actual story of show which is good ...

Jennifer is still absolutely no good casting and she doesn't look like she will get any better. She is reflecting too much anxiety as the character but Jennifer is not like that; she is introverted alright but calm and confident generally, she has a heavy metal star vibe. This one is stuck at the pre-transformation phase. The chemistry between Geralt is not even working. All and all the series could have a different dimension because she is a main character.

DARK has the best casting team. The Witcher casting team is mediocre. Except Henry Joey MyAnna and Freya, rest don't resemble 60% of the charecters. I've read once. Especially Yennefer, Triss, Fringilla.
Anya ist mit die schlechteste und unhübscheste Schauspielerin, der gesamte Cast ist sehr sehr schlecht und unpassend. Freya sieht aufgedunsen und verbraucht aus. Ob die extra so unattraktive und schlechte Schauspieler genommen haben, so dass Henry der schönste und talentierteste ist 🤷🏼♀️ Außerdem haben sie die Handlung auch absolut versaut! Es tut mir für Henry sehr leid, die Serie könnte um sooooo vieles besser sein!!!!!
