- This documentary follows Jeff Browning at the 2022 Moab 240 as he sets out to not only race his first 200+ mile distance, but aims to set the new standard course record.
This video was shot and edited by Steve Lloyd with contributing footage from Derrick Lytle.
In this race, Jeff Browning uses his new namesake pack, the Big Bronco Race Vest, built in collaboration with UltrAspire and Bryce Thatcher.
The Big Bronco Race Vest is a 12 liter pack built in collaboration with UltrAspire Elite Athlete and champion ultramarathoner Jeff Browning. The Big Bronco is designed to highlight all of the features of the Bronco race vest but with expanded capacity and accessibility. This vest has a total of 7 accessible pockets on the go, and is capable of carrying 4 bottles and a 2 liter reservoir. While two of those bottles can be stored in front , our signature bottle-in-the-back Fluidic Holster System ensures access to the rear pockets is intuitive and easy. The rear pockets have a divider which helps to organize your gear and 2 large gussets add capacity. The main back compartment was designed to lay flat when empty while its 4-way stretch mesh can expand to accommodate a large capacity. A soft foam flare on the back serves as a guide, making rear compartment access easy. Z-pole attachments have been added and are accessible left or right handed on the go, and these attachments can also function as compression for the Fluidic Holster compartments. The front harness features 4 pockets and the MaxO2 Form adjustable closure system. Like all UltrAspire packs, this vest features an ErgoFit™ design for long term comfort. Available in 3 sizes.

Twenty years ago I did a mountain bike trip to Moab. And among the trails I did, amasa back was one I did with a couple nice mtb strangers I met at the campsite. And we could collaborate and shuttle.with two vehicles.

Hard to believe that a video about plodding and suffering for 57 hours could be so cool but this was great. Amazing resolve. Just a handful of humans worldwide that could so this. It definitely secured his place in ultra lore.

Great film for sure. What is amazing however is the 57 hour finish at 240 miles. It's hot, it's freezing and you are constantly looking at your GPS and using energy to navigate. I would put that performance up there as one of the best of the year. Nice work!

Can someone please explain to me what standard course means. Has the course changed in the years that it's been open
@DGskater57 The standard course is the full course. There is a winter course so when the La Sale mountains get too much snow they skip that section of the course. That would show as a faster time, but it cuts out a lot of the course. so Jeff ran the entire course not skipping any sections.
