- The Moab 240, a foot race that starts and finishes in Moab, Utah. This would be my longest race to date in terms of distance, but I'd hope it would be my fastest 200+ mile race as well. And as the race progressed, my aspirations continued to grow.

I think I'm going to watch this one while wearing my hydration vest, a handful of gels and about a litre of sunscreen on my face. Just to be on the safe side.
I am watching while removing Compeed from blisters and wondering if I am going to lose that black toenail again lol.
My husband wanted to watch the premiere with me and I said “careful, watching Jeff is a slippery slope to running ultras”
Wiser words never spoken 👍
Loooooong wau to go for 🙏🏻
Yep he got me already
@@BenNiland he was definitely a contributing factor for me as well 😂
I'll be cursing his name on the UTMB course later this year hahahaha
This is the benchmark in documenting a single person’s long-distance run. The bar is sitting quite high now. Thanks for all the hard work!
"Why did he try to win??" 😂😂
Probably your best film yet. Outstanding all around. Congrats Jeff! I'm so thankful for all you share with us.
That line was pure gold
Without any exaggeration: this is a masterpiece in cinematography and storytelling. And a real nailbiter in the end. Thanks, Jeff!
You are so Right 😊
Even the music was on point in this vid. Well-paced storytelling and an amazing effort to cross the finish line in second place. Thoroughly enjoyed! ❤
What amazed me the most about this race was that you were working so hard to catch Jesse at the end, but you kept filming. To divert any energy like that at the end of such a hard race and when you were so close, it really shows your dedication to your craft. You are truly admirable! And what a great job Audree does also!
Don’t know if this dude is a great filmmaker who runs or a runner who makes great films!
Same thing thay was going through my mind watching this
haha so well said !!! both are great indeed!
Can we get a thumbs up for Audrey?
Two life lessons here. You're stronger than you think you are. Surround yourself with people who love you.
🙏💯
So true.
Ultra racing meets formula 1! Thank you Jeff and Audrée. Your adventures are inspiring and so very generous, how you edit to include so many remarkable people from the community. Congrats on this amazing achievement.
But if you can do it with no help, that would mean your stronger than everybody.
The thing is Jeff looks alive as if he could go another 50 others look in pain. What a Incredible achievement not only 1st 2nd or 3rd every single person who is crazy enough to even book a distance so great congratulations Jeff your work is on another level 👏
"It's good to finally meet you" best line
Best part of ultra running is that everyone is a winner. 😊
Yet it must be so underwhelming crossing the finish and there are like 4 people clapping. Definitely not a spectator sport.
"B*tched in a forward direction" 🤣New favourite mantra for (and summary of) ultras.
Great film, amazing to see everything that went into it behind the scenes as always, including all of the help from Audree and the pacers. Congrats on an amazing performance Jeff!
I will prepare my TV and treadmill in front of it. I will join your MOAB race, Jeff.
All of a sudden, marathons seem so mundane....😂
Pacer: "I was only in it for 30 miles."
Me: "OMG!!!"
And then he decided to run another 30 just cause
You know it’s some amazing storytelling and cinematography when your seven year old wanders in and ends up sitting down to watch the last 3/4 of this! 🤣👌
Our target audience! Gotta start them young ;)
I am not familiar, until now, with these incredible races and what stopped me in my tracks was the phrase, “the hallucinations have started earlier than in the past”. Badass people and their teams! The documentary was compelling and inspiring!
I was crying happy tears and hollering for first, that was amazing determination. Be proud. Your wife and crew rocks
Here I am, bitching about how sore my legs are after a 2 mile run and it's been 4 days already. Alright, I'm getting up and running right now. Extremeley inspiring, Jeff. Keep it up!
You make ultras look so easy. What a spectacular place to run. How do you resist stopping for such beauty. Only just started running again after loss of my husband of 55 yrs. Helps to improve my everyday daily mood elevation and I feel so much stronger. Watching the joy you have for running elevates my spirits
Hey, just had to reply as I started running after several years of really bad mental health after the death of my partner. It's helped me so much too. It gives me hope and even moments of gratitude & joy I never thought I would feel again, and most of all it gives me the space I need to just exist - whether that involves processing thoughts/emotions or just emptying my mind and running. Being in nature is so healing too. I hope you are doing well, sending love from the UK and happy running ❤️❤️❤️
@@r-pupz7032 I appreciate you thank u so much
So fantastic to see how the race played out. Amazing cinematography and storytelling. Thank you for sharing your experience and for taking us along with you. And now to share it with everyone I know.
240 is the new 100. 100 is like just the warmup, nowadays.
Outstanding! This is truly inspirational and a beautifully crafted film, Jeff. Congratulations to you and your team.
Thanks for taking us along for such an epic adventure!! It was a truly amazing performance!! Congratulations and great prep/planning/execution!!
Just incredible Jeff! The racing, your composure, the videography. Awesome.
Thanks to CZcams recently recommending trail running clips for the Barkley, I’ve been watching several from the comfort of my couch and getting inspired to hit the gym. This is terrific, brilliant footage, great editing and incredible result. Truly inspiring stuff 🫡🫡
AHHHHH BABY!! I think it says something about me (or your film making Jeff) but I've been looking forward to this more than any movie premier. This is going to be epic! Thanks so much for all you give to this awesome community!
Ditto. Was waiting for it to drop and planned to have no distractions: was worth it!
Thanks for bringing us on your trip. One of the best ultra docu's I've seen!
Bravo Jeff! Bon repos 🏆💐🌺🌸
I found myself just smiling watching the last minutes of this video. The intensity at the end was fantastic. I loved every minute, you're an inspiration Jeff!
Oh lord... where to begin. Been looking forward to this movie ever since the race and it did NOT dissapoint. Top tier production, had goose bumps from start until the race was on where it switched to adrenaline. Despite knowing the outcome, it was so emotional. Seeing Audrey made me crack as well. Congrats Jeff to an amazing finish and a big thanks for all the effort you put in to this movie, it's second to none.
What an excellent race documentary. I was not sure I wanted to watch over an hour of a CZcams movie, but it is extremely well put together and worth the time. Well done!
Epic. Jeff and Derek, incredible footage and awesome storytelling.
Wow , Best movie of 2024 by 240 miles ❤ hollywood watch out for those Acadamy Awards.. jeff pelettier for Best director .. Best videographer ., cinematography deserves an OSCAR ...and jeff for Best Sportsperson of the Year ... outstanding work and your family / crew .. great job everyone ❤ .. absolutely smashed that 😊😊
I vote for sure❤
I'm not used to use the comment section, but this achievement deserves it! I've been following you for some time now, and you not only achieve 2nd place in Moab 240 but also made the best film possible out of it. You are really full of surprises. Keep up the outstanding work and vibes :)
Jeff and Sally.. ugh. Life is good.🇨🇦❤️🙏
That was absolutely incredible in all respects and when Audree started to cry the emotional factor went way up. Congratulations on an amazing run and a spectacular film!
Wow, great film, beautiful scenery, great characters, amazing performance. Once I heard you say you took maple syrup, I knew a podium was assured - don't know why it is not on the list of banned substances 😃
Amazing, Jeff! You’re one of the people that inspired me to become an Ultra runner! You are an amazing inspiration! I hope to share the trail with you one day. Wasatch 100 here I come. Thank you for all the heart warming moments.
Have a great race!
@@JeffPelletier My second 100 miler, in my home state, going to draw on your power in hard moments! THANK YOU!
What a show! I remember following you the whole way!
Jeff needed another 100! Looked super fresh at the finish!
Maybe another 10 😉
Nice to see a fellow Canadian producing some top quality content like this.
Awesome film Jeff. I like this format. How proud you must be for both the run and producing such quality work. It was cool too for me to see my old stomping grounds from 25 years back. Cheers from Norway 🇳🇴.
Jeff, my favourite journey yet. Amazing to witness how strong you were closing and Audree’s feels were contagious. An all-timer 🙌🏼
like a lot of us geeky running geezers, my wife and I can't wait - !!
And congrats on crossing into such uncharted territory... My experience of the podium is being 3rd out of 4 in the 60+ age group at our local mountain 10K.
But - - most importantly - - I'm still dreamin' !!
Epic storytelling and epic Moab 240 Jeff! I can’t imagine the effort that it takes to push that hard for so long. Your crew and pacers were awesome as well. What sacrifice they gave to support you. I’m sure you’re super grateful for such support.
Congratulations! ! You are so strong. Also congratulations to Audree she’s a great crew leader
🫡
Great job Jeff!! It was well put together! Wish I could of seen in the theatre but it was a 14 hours drive sadly! Maybe some other time! Great job!!
This was SO worth the wait!! Thank you for sharing your adventure yet. I was hooked watching it live and this gave even more context!
Your casual description of hallucinations was pretty funny. Like, just a matter of fact, the leaves have faces and I’m hearing voices. No big deal 😂
A really great, and inspiring, watch - as always l!
CONGRATULATIONS! I don’t know how you do it. You’re like a super human, filming and managed to finished strong. You’re an inspiration and your SO is such a wonderful supporter for you. Thank you for sharing and God bless!
Wow what an outstanding race, well done Jeff! Audrey was superb also, great team. This is one of THE best trail running videos and channels out there, production value is second to none.
What an epic race - amazing work Jeff! This was such an incredible film. I’ve been so excited waiting for this to drop. I only recently discovered your channel and your films have been getting me through my recovery from knee surgery for the last 6 weeks (having not run for over 1 year). I love how you not only capture the spirit of the race / course but embrace the community as well. A huge thank you to you and Audrée.
This is unreal! Your effort, the visuals, the hard work behind this whole doc, it's all very inspiring! Love from a local FV fan!
This week in Sintra Lisboa Portugal Pena Palace I met a Family from Canada and I realised she was a trail runner and I told her that I'm also a 50yr trail runner that travelled to África last century😊 and Adventures to Picos Europa Astúrias also Pyrennes Catalonya Nacional Park and that I love your videos and she said I'm so glad that you know that inspiring couple and Comunity like Billy Yang ,stories Audree courses as well crew Pacers etc... Thanks to all of You ❤MASTERPIECE ...More than 20yrs ago I met a 75yr couple her name Margaret & Michael and we did a hiking week all around Sintra area westernmost point of Europe Mainland amazing trails they loved so much that they came again ! They were so humble and taught me a lot how to get older wise and fit...Jeff&Audree you make me Remembering them to me ❤ Obrigado 🙏
Holy guacamole...several; minutes in and I was on the edge of my seat...what an amazing endeavor and accomplishment for everyone involved...congratulations! I will be watching this video many more times.
Great job telling the story of the race! Loved the drone and time lapse shots. Congratulations!
For this one, I'm definitely watching it on the big screen - movie night style :)
That's the way to do it ;)
Incredible storytelling as always Jeff, loved the collaboration between you and your fellow competitors during stretches of the race. That's what makes this sport of ours so special 🩷
Congratulations, Jeff!! Just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to start my trail running journey at 38 years after seeing your UTMB film. I also started filming my runs with my dog and the races I do, and it's all thanks to you. So thank you for giving me this new life 🙏
The stretch right before Needles, when the sun was rising and you were running by yourself in that drone shot with that song choice🥺. Omg what a film!!! We're always rooting for you. My mom loved you in Georgia and was very concerned with the dogs. And now everytime she sees you on the screen she says "oh he should watch out for dogs!!" You're so strong! Can't wait to see what you have for 2024.
Incredible race and such an impressive video! The cinematography and storytelling were the best I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen them all! Well done! Super inspiring! I love Audrey’s emotional response to your second place finish! You two are a great team!
So beautiful and inspiring.. Jeff and Audree are the best team. Please keep sharing your epic adventures with us.
Congratulations! And you did film while racing to the second place?!? Unbelievable! Great work!
Fantastic production and effort put into this one Jeff and team! Outputting class performance while documenting it is no easy feat!
Great job Jeff. Beyond the physical feat, great film making! Kudos to Derrick for his footage! Kudos to you for the storytelling and the editing! Not easy to summarize such a huge adventure! And kudos to Audre for the logistical dimension, the organization required to set you up for success is huge! Bravo! That race was a celebration of all the hard work you have put in over the years! What’s next after such a high?!
A fantastic movie of a wonderful race. I can't understand how anybody can run that fast after 200+ miles. Incredible stuff.
I just looked up the splits on Strava. It was a just over 28min 5k you finished with!
Also thank you for the *amazing* drone cutaways and shots of the Utah scenery. Beautiful.
Thanks! The amazing cinematography during the race was courtesy of Derrick Lytle.
Congratulations on your achievement Jeff. The film is fantastic. I kept thinking how much that probably hurt and yet, you were still filming yourself to share the story. I love how you share the course map at every step, how you include the B roll, the spectacular views, wonderful colors, well chosen music. We can tell you like animals (especially dogs), it's a nice touch to include them. Overall a great watch! High five to your crew and pacers, and especially Audrée. Well done!
Absolutely amazing! Not just your accomplishment but the way you put the film together. Thank you!
What a cracking film Jeff, I love your calm approach to racing, I’ve learnt so much by watching your films over the years. Your an inspiration mate well done 👏🏼
Super awesome race! That was an epic end! Well done! Can’t believe you managed to get this result AND kept up with your own vlogging too. 👏
Mad props to all the runners. I'm running short distances of 5 and 10 km as a hobby after work, and just the idea of running this distance of 240 miles with barely any breaks and barely any sleep is just mind blowing to me.
Great film and documentation of this event. It definitely felt like you leant on all you'd learned from previous races for your race plan. You never really looked like you were struggling. Although im sure you were! The quality of the film was also excellent. Just finished watching your chat with Jesse. What a great compliment to this film. Thanks for sharing. A sidenote: its partly because of your videos that i've signed up for my first 50km event this summer. So thanks for the stoke!!!
I don't know how you do it, Jeff. You run a very, very, long race with winning pace and still film everything needed to tell a story? All of your videos are.always to notch videography and good story telling but this one is additionally exciting. I'd say this tops the list of best running films I've ever seen. And I've seen many :)
Amazing job, amazing run.
Let's talk about the truck. How badass is that.
Yes, the Rossmonster Baja! I think Audrée is going to make me buy her one.
My birthday is coming up 👀
Somebody pass the tissues!! I knew the result and the finish-line still got me!
Congrats on an amazing race and awesome film! One of your best so far I reckon!!
Freaking wild race, man! Was cool to see you and Jesse race it to the wire!
So incredible Jeff!!! Congratulations!! And huge thumbs up to Audree, everyone in your crew, and the cinematographer!!
So technical, and so tactical. Loved every minute of this video!
Thank you so much to you Jeff and your great team for taking the time during this long and arduous race to document it for us to experience it you and your teams. You always motivate us to go out any explore this beautiful world on our feet. Forever grateful.
Already watch it twice already. EPIC FILM AND EPIC RACE
It was so awesome to see this live in person!
wow Jeff, this documentary is spot on, what a achievement. One day I will run this too. Great motivation.
Wow, what a performance Jeff! And what a beautiful race. Well done. And a big shoutout to Audree and the rest of the support team. You made him fly 👏🏻
What an amazing race and fantastic video production. This was well worth the wait. The tight finish and seeing Audree really getting emotional really got me in the feels..
Noo I thought I read April 5th😭😭. Cannot wait!
Thanks for your videos Jeff. Just a guy and his Mrs, out running long in beautiful places. No messaging except maybe, 'one life, live it.' Jeff leads by example, always polite, even when knackered. Great role model. Fair play Sir.
Best film you have made so far. So well edited. Smooth as silk. Congratulations on your placing. Can't wait to see your next adventure.
This is the kind of content I come to CZcams for. Thanks man 👌
i am so jealous of long distance marathon runners. they can manage to run for hundreds of miles while im out here struggling to run a mile without stopping
Just start running and keep going with it. Gradually increasing mileage. Run walk intervals help building up mileage until running more than a mile becomes comfortable. You can do more than you think!
Congratz Jeff, not only on that second place (what a pace did you run in those last 12 miles, you are a beast!!!) but for me this is definitely your best running movie so far! Not only in image quality but also in storytelling, building tension till the end and perfect drone footage. Perfect mix!
Wow... This movie made me cry, I'm from Annecy, France and Jeff has been a huge motivation for me. The most beautiful thing for me is the team work : the exhaustion from Audrey and her joy. It was a great moment, thank you two.
Well done Jeff! And wow the assistance from Audree, unbelievable, chapeau! Your preparation and structured approach clearly paid dividends here. Unfortunately, your beautiful cinematography has done nothing to reduce my longing to visit Moab.
Watching your wife join your side near the end and immediately burst into tears really hit me hard. So special. All the while you are this unstoppable force keeping that ridiculous pace to bring it home. Congratulations.
Much love! It was a pure joy to watch the documentary! Also followed the race live quite intensively! Gotta watch this again many times with some friends. You make our hearts smile, i dare to say. Kudos to the whole team. Thank you.
88mins of brilliant story telling ending in a nail biting finish to a race that lasted 70hrs DANG that is amazing. It will be because of Jeff Pelletier that most Ultra Runners will include a drone as part of their mandatory kit now on all races. Well done to you, Jesse and all of the competitors. EPIC.
Possibly the most inspirational ultra video I have seen in years. I think I’m going to go register for a couple races after watching this! It’s all your fault Jeff! How exciting. I teared up as Andre was talking just before the finish. Thanks man!!!!
You and Audreé are such an inspiration. Watching you run that dude down and saying you needed more miles was wild. You were in the zone!
Keep letting us be a part of your journey!
Another beautiful film by Jeff Pelletier! This video not only highlights Jeff's talent as a video grapher and story teller but also his determination and consistency on the course. A true inspiration all around
Great video, Jeff! Thank you for taking us on your journey. Truly impressed and appreciated.
Even though I knew the outcome of this race I loved every second of this film. You have a real knack telling a story. Congratulations on your second place finish and I look forward to your adventures in 2024.
Congrats, Jeff! Awesome support crew as well! Even though I already knew the results beforehand, I did not know it was a really close race. That tumble really was a game changer. Thank you for sharing your experience.
It is one of the best running film & documentary i ve watched. Especially filming while trying to run & win actually is so hard. Thanks for showing us your story. I lovee how you talk to everyone on the course, ask who they are or how the race is going for them. Running 240miles and barely sleeping, a biiiig smiling while finishing. it is very emotional i think. Thank you jeff and audrey. can't wait to follow your new adventures :)
