Pazuzu Algarad, who had a cult-like following, was charged with murdering two people in his home near Winston-Salem and burying them in his backyard. Authorities accuse him of performing Satanic rituals at his "house of horrors" in Clemmons, North Carolina.

The mother failed her child. Letting him getaway with any and everything so he wouldn't commit suicide is bull 💩
calling her a mother gives her too much credit. she wasn’t present at all
I wouldn't blame the mother the dude just needed to grow some nuts and not be a weenie. I was constantly alone at teen life and I'm fine...
The world would have been a better place if she had let him unalive himself. He was sick and demented oh and by the way, there is no satan he is just the boogie man made up by the churches to keep us in line
@@virus4840 you say grow some nuts, like he didn't take his life and destiny into his own hands and do as he pleased. You sound more like a repressed conformist to someone such as myself. Its nice being sheltered is it not?
@@virus4840 lol yes I kinda feel bad for the stupid mother but it's true grow your ass up learn to live without. He was just a sensitive little boy who grew up relying on demons to fight his insecurities. I bet he was pretty fun to hang with tho lmao
My favorite part is how he had all this anxiety about leaving his home but was happy as a clam to skip off to the woods to sacrifice animals 🙃
Right??
Well if you think about it, when he leaves his home he's going to be around people in social settings. When you go to the store, when you go get gas, when you go run errands you're around people. Maybe his issue wasn't so much with being "outside" as just simply being in social situations with people he didn't know. And going to the forest to perform a ritual was probably something he did by himself. Not defending him, just thinking through the logic
In addition to that, agoraphobia usually is associated with a fear of large Open Spaces. Like a football field, Stadium, parking lot. Compared to claustrophobia, which is a fear of small tight spaces. If you're in the woods surrounded by a lot of trees, the space is not really "open". Therefore it might not trigger that intense dread of large, hollow empty spaces.
Agoraphobia is not that strict, nature have a different effect than the city, also the time of day might play a role
🤔 Good point...?

Anyone else find it funny that he took medication for high cholesterol? Seems like that would have been pretty far down on the list of threats to his health.
When I started using Zoloft I started hearing voices! One voice stood out from the rest. It was a deep scary voice, this voice told me constantly that no one loved me no one wanted me around and the best thing I could do is unalive myself. Thankfully I found the song from logic, the 1-800 suicide hotline song, and it was like a light bulb went off in my head that I was feeling this way and hearing these voices because of the medication I had just recently started taking. I immediately stopped taking it and all the sudden it was like the clouds opened up and it was sunny all around me again instead of dark and gloomy. It changed the way the people in my life looked and made them look more demonic in a way. Thank God for logic if it weren't for him I don't know if I'd be here right now.

I've been on Zoloft for three years. I think the reason people say it makes them "feel like a zombie" is because it puts them at a more "normal" baseline of feeling and behavior that is so much less chaotic than how they normally feel. My treatment does make me feel like a milder version of myself, but that's the point. Being in a constant state of heightened anxiety and extreme depression is painful. But some people get used so used to it that they prefer the suffering that they are familiar with.
This was exactly what I was thinking. They’re not used to feeling “normal”. It just evens out your emotions/behavior. From extreme high and lows to just norm.
Loved this!!!! Thank you guys! Port Elizabeth South Africa 🤘💙🇿🇦

I know everyone reacts to drugs differently but I’m currently on Zoloft and I’ve never experienced a “zombie like state” or any intense negative emotions. The first couple weeks of adjusting to the medication my mood was up and down but it stabilized and it’s only helped me since. I honestly think the fact that many violent people in history were taking Zoloft is mere coincidence; it’s a popular antidepressant and a lot of people like this tend to struggle with mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.
My dad took me to see Pet Sematary when I was like 7. I've loved horror and gore from a way too young age, but I'm mostly normal... ish lol

I’ve been on Zoloft since I was 16, and I’m now Almost 62. I never had any crazy feelings on it, however, I still always suffered from severe anxiety if a painful situation in my life would occur… it was crippling at times. I do believe that I became immune to the medication being on it for so long, so my dosage is now up to 200 mgs. And I can tell it’s helping because although I get anxiety in moments of stress, I just
cannot cry 😢, which I would do at the drop of a hat. Not sure if that’s good or bad, but it is what it is. Zoloft is a good medication , but it may not be for everyone. With mental illness, it’s trial and error to see which medications work for an individual. In Pazuzu’s case, he was mentally ill and it it comes down to the fact that his parents failed him in every way…and when you open the door to Satan, he walks right in and destroys you…

The ‘zombie’ effect that he was feeling was more than likely something called “SSRI induced apathy syndrome”. It is an extremely common side effect to antidepressants, and unfortunately it makes a lot of people not want to take their medication. Many patients say that they would rather feel the sadness/anxiety than to be numb and to not feel anything at all.
Why did they ever stop giving people prozac? I remember when it seemed like everyone took that and I didn't hear many complaints.
@@anotherlittlepieceofmyart I take Prozac only after I went through the barrage of more common ones....Zoloft included. Prozac is the only one to help me.
@@ealaibracket1 I bet its because the patent for prozac is past and now you can get cheap generic version, but maybe the others still make Big Pharma more cash? I dunno much about antidepressants. I was given paxil for post partum depression, and it gave me horrible nightmares.

Another Little Piece of My Art I wondered that a few weeks ago. What happened to Prozac?
This is the first time I've seen or heard of ur podcast, well done. You asked about Zoloft. I can tell you from personal experience that Zoloft and other meds of the same are very, very, dangerous. Unfortunately in the last 30 yrs diagnosis was very general and to narrow down a specific illness takes a lot more effort and study than was done. The zombie effect is real. Those drugs stole my childhood and most of my life. Today I'm 41 and still trying to narrow down a specific diagnosis and cure. Being on those kind of meds actually added to my self destructive behavior. It would blow ur mind to know how much of the same behavior and activities were going on all around the world in teens and young adults during the 90's and early 2000's. It's messed up how prevalent these behavior and activities were connected to mental health issues and those medications.
It sounds like he had grown up terrified of the world and sheltered himself to the point there could be no recovery. In turn as grown man he inflicted that fear into others as a way of masking his own short comings.

My partner was diagnosed with Agoraphobia. 😢It was bad, anytime he had to go out anywhere (appointments, work, shopping, etc.) he would get physically sick and major anxiety would ensue. If the outing could be cancelled or avoided, he felt better. Alcohol also would be a coping mechanism. Finally he gave an antidepressant (Prozac)a fair chance, and gave up the beer. Happy to report he has not become an ancient Sumarian, squatted in a corner or married another woman. The “zombie” thing has been overhyped with Zoloft IMO, probably because when you’re on too much, or if it’s not the right med for you, it makes you really tired. My mom and sister are both on Zoloft and it’s improved their lives immensely-the main impediment to their treatment has been the social stigma around taking psychiatric medication.
Maybe they need to be numbed out to deal with you

Everyone's brain chemistry is different
Thank you for speaking up. It’s just too easy to blame things on certain meds that help ppl like those of us that truly suffer from mental disorders. Zoloft helps many more ppl than creating adverse side effects. I mean, if you feel foggy, tired, or lethargic...talk to your doctor. Chances are, there is something thAt can help.
It's disgusting and its 2020, we are supposed to be tolerant and not offend ppl. Except for ppl on meds getting called junkies. Like we dont know already. I hope none of their kids ever fall prey to addiction. It's not always a choice is it? Peace 🏴
Just seeing this episode and yes Zoloft made me feel like a zombie as well. In fact made me more depressed and wanted to harm myself. It made me fall asleep randomly and feel so sluggish. Finally found one after years called lexapro.
I love this podcast and have been a mile higher fan for YEARS!! I Love yall 💗
Aye I'm on Lexapro too. But I took Zoloft for years. I just eventually got too used to it and had to switch to Lexapro.
My favorite episode of lights out!
Me: Satanic.
Josh: *Sitanic*
YES!!!! I giggle to myself every time I hear him say it.
It's because he's already sitting, it's not like he hasn't sat yet
My comment is so dumb, and I'm so dumb it took me a sec to even understand what I was talking about.
What a sad story, I feel so bad for animals that are forced to live with disgusting humans. Those people don’t deserve their own lives let alone that of an innocent animal
Totally agreed. If I knew of animals living like that I would report it.
@Erik Iverson I think it's a bit harsh on the animals. No animal would behave that way. This dickhead made his choices.
@@southernforestgypsy Some animals actually do torture. But I agree that he should have never been allowed near animals, or people for that matter
@@b.valentine5283 that’s erroneous at best. Give me an example so I can clear it up for you. I guarantee your understanding of torture as it applies to animals and how they go about things is anthropomorphic. Ie in no way comparable to what some fucked up humans do to other humans. I’ve been studying animal behaviour for some 48 years. Yes I’m an old fart but us old farts tend to know stuff.
@@southernforestgypsy Some simians will go for the genitals of their victims first, after that move on to fingers and limbs then go for the finale which is to rip their victims face off. They do all of that as a form of punishment when upset or offended. Look up the story of a man giving a birthday cake to his former pet chimp he had to give up, look up how the other chimps got so upset that they didn't get cake. Look up how they escaped their enclosure and the punishment they gave to him. It was no doubt a form of torture. In the Gombe chimp war a tribe of chimps had a type of civil war and certainly punished and tortured one another until the part of the tribe that split off was totally exterminated by their former family and friends, look up how they killed one another I mean the exact details. Those are just some documented observings. Felines are know to get pleasure from toying with prey which im sure is torturous to the prey. I love animals but we shouldnt try to whitewash nature it is extremely complex.
I've been on Zoloft for 15+ years and I've never experienced the "zombie" thing. Zoloft keeps my emotions stable. It was a blessed relief when I first started taking it, to be honest.
The Devil you Know is incredibly well made. It doesn’t get enough recognition for it’s quality.
I am not exaggerating- I watch it daily. I’m obsessed. The cinematography is so well done
Damn man, just found your channel. This is CRAZY!!! This story reminds me so much of my friend from school. Dudes mom was a meth addict and his dad was never there. He got super into alcohol, satanism, black magic, and European black metal. He was one of the funniest people I ever met, starved for attention. But he also went down a super dark path and who knows where he is now. But this podcast so far, first 30 min, is exactly how my friend’s life was. Suffering leads people to crazy places. At one point in high school him and a few other kids were involved in a car surfing accident. Rumor was that my friend was picking up pieces of the victim’s brain and saving them. Who knows but I always wondered if foul play was involved as part of a satanic sacrifice.
Were you friends with pazuzu
Great Episode
Here from kendall & mile higher, I just love how calming Josh's voice is & this entire theme makes me happy lol
Just wondering how people don’t believe in God but do believe in the devil ? How is this possible?
My guess, it is always easier to believe the bad over the good.
There's this idea rooted in christianity, and possibly other religions but im not educated enough to speak on that, that you can't have one without the other. I think its all about perception, theres really no right or wrong its all preference. Although i dont have an answer to your question i can say, there were other "devil-like" entities in many pagan religions that predate Christianity. You can look more into it if it peaks your interest.
Изабелла Намасте thank you for such an in-depth answer to my question. I am very curious about this.
@@crystalvisions6558 no problem :)
That mindset is outside the Christian construct of god and devil. Meaning the devil represents alternative views and actions, giving into and enjoying your impulses, societally delinquent behaviors, etc. The devil would be more an idea than an actual entity. That's my understanding.
Also, fun fact: Pazuzu's MySpace is still up.
And his FB page but kyle rittenhouse gets banned

I’ve been on Zoloft twice, and I’ve never really experienced anything “zombie-like.” However, it has made me feel numb a lot, which I guess can be considered zombie like
I felt zombie like on 100mlg, the most I could ever do was 75mlg without feeling constantly exhausted. I think I felt mentally the best BUT I was always sleeping so it was a win/lose situation.
I’m on Zoloft. Have been for a few years. Legit saved my life. I felt like a zombie for the first two weeks while my body got used to it, and then it was gone. Evened out. Only time after that was when I tried a cbd product along with it. But not all cbd does that. Anyhow, I no longer have any negative side effects. It’s just stopped me from having nightmares, night terrors and being completely overwhelmed with depression and anxiety. I can actually function now! But everyone’s chemicals are so different, just cause it’s perfect for me doesn’t mean other peoples brains react the same. Humans are so extremely complex. That’s why you should start on a low dose, and give it a couple solid weeks before quitting (unless it’s making you a danger to yourself or others. Always keep your doctor informed on the effects and follow their advice!)
You mentioned Zoloft. I take it every day for my anxiety and depression. And at first I felt a bit off, constantly in a place where I could not be sad nor happy, now everything's back to normal, i can feel emotions again :D But I don't know if my experience could be similiar to what others have descirbed as zombie-like.
I was the same way but never felt like a zombie. The only times I would go back to neutral emotions was when my dosage was upped but that effect only last the frist month and a half or so.
I think maybe these people take the medication for a couple day but never enough to adjust to it enough for your emotions to be able to be "turned back on."
