People can't find a job because they are taking web dev just as a job. Love it and research on web dev.
Do open source contribution. Man this is a changing technology so today's trend is Open Source Contribution.
And also junior developer can't stand a chance in this market. You must be a senior developer with very strong projects to get a job man.
And also, use web development to start business
issue is not with jobs, but with skills... as tech keep changing every year and people don't want to adopt changes have to face issues. Example: There was PHP, then JS, now people are slowly moving towards Rust and Go.. so you can't stick permanently on one tech. but you have to sync with market requirements. but this doesn't mean you keep changing domain too frequently... example today you start web dev. after 3 months you applied for 10 jobs then you change your mind and start andriod dev. after 3 months again you shift towards ML then may be cyber security.. instead you can stick on one domain have good portfolio to showcase skills and then keep applying until you get a job then you can try some other stuff.
Hi, I am currently learning web development. On the frontend, I know HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.js. I am thinking of learning Next.js next. For the backend, I am currently learning it.
What should I do first? Should I complete my knowledge by learning Node.js, MongoDB, and Express, and then go for an internship? Or should I explore trending technologies like Go, Rust, or Prisma?

@@NextGenAchieverss keep focus on one thing first. as you are learning frontend so better to focus on that part only. And you can search and read requirement description of posted jobs to know what they require.
For now, better to learn Tailwindcss, and Nextjs. But it doesn't mean learning this is enough. You can build a portfolio and show case your skills. You should know how to do api integrations, auth guard at with different roles, state management using context api or redux. then how can integrate 3rd party lib. may be payment gateway integration, or d3js / chart, or web3js / threejs library (will be better if you can), deployment at netlify, firebase etc...
also, better to follow clean code practices as much possible (don't waste more time on this) and have understanding of git will be helpful.
I mean you should have idea of overall concepts so that you can build something better rather than mastering one particular thing which is not possible at all. because people will hire someone who can build some real life product. then you can start applying for job or internships and once you have a good job then you can focus on new things.
@@NextGenAchieverss there are lot of tech. and every company have there own way of doing things, rather than focusing on that, you should focus on building base. once you have that then you can easily shift to any tech. currently people trying rust and golang but there are not too many jobs as compare to js env. because it will take time so as a beginner better to stay with js.
I have 2.2 Years of experience in Coldfusion, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML/CSS, Ajax, SQL server. Working as full stack developer but not using any framework or latest technology. What should I do to work in Web Development domain.
Okay , let me add few points more , people never really learn those skills they just entirely get stuck in tutorial hell and think they know something if we do certain ratio its obvi majority of young kids in college even some more will fall in this , only few understand what is what. Either be it javascript. Let me also add that if you got a good network you can do anything. Im just saying don't do stupid jusy listening to everyone in this app , do what you love . As he's right getting a job is difficult but is not impossible

Companies are asking for all new technologies like Vue.js, Next.js, Typescript etc etc for internships from a college student. It is not possible for all to master all the technologies within 2 or 3 years of college life. Also even if you are shortlisted, they are giving a project and you have to do that and submit it within a short timeframe.

they don't ask for master of this tech stack you have mentioned. but basic knowledge should be expected. i have learn android development with java kotlin, compose, xml, then learn node js, express js, react js, next js. then currently i am working on ios with swift. i have done this all in time period of 4 year. i don't learn tech. i will start building app from day one with any tech and then i will learn what i need in that tech. build multiple projects with that too. along with best practices of every tech stack

Web development forms the basis of development to be honest, you'd need to know it at some point in time. Just do web dev and add on top another tech stack, maybe go for app dev or cloud or docker.
The best solution for all humans is this. Think, learn, and act like a polymath. Don't limit yourself with one particular career or field. Experiment yourself with academic, skills, creative, business, and athletic fields.

100% agree with you. I have started to learn programming to build my product then eventually i have learnt android development, ios development (with kmm), react, next, express, node. i have tried php and python as well but not much. and still i think i need one more to leave this field as programmer. i have already spent 4 year by doing this and build my own product which pays my bills. now i am headed to new adventure will sales and marketing with any random product which i find interesting.

If i tell you my experience I’m from commerce background fir maine 6 saal apni marketing agency chalai have handled more than 250+ clients and 10 log mere neeche payroll pe employed the fir mai ghusa production me 2 saal vaha ache se kaam kiya 5 log mere full time editors kaam karte the scalable nahi laga ab in 25 with little knowledge programming me hath azmane aya hu.

Cloud and devops engineering are more like secondary fields, you can learn them along with some other skills but dont choose them as the primary one

Please dont be misguided by this video.Yes there are tools now to expedite development but that doesnt mean it will kill webdev.
Gen AI is being used but its not that its being adopted rapidly because companies dont want their proprietary architecture documents to be consumed by an AI tool which is not hosted in premise.
And Large Businesses still prefers building from scratch as they have greater control over their software in future.If they adopt a tool it is not guranteed that they will keep same prices of Licenses after 10 years.
Web Dev is a great starting point where not only technical but your functional knowledge will increase.
I have been in this industry for close to 8 years.What I have seen is that you have to go and experience things yourself and then form opinions.
Just because its cool to say buzzwords,that doesnt mean you can just do illicit generalization and say WebDev is going downhill.
P.S- Mostly I work in Event driven architecture and not fully webdev.But there is growing demand i can see in my company and elsewhere

Work in tech only if you've the courage to evolve with the industry. Before the invention of machines people had the same fear of missing out but the machines created more jobs. Same goes for AI. Learn to use it in your field. Moreover in my opinion big tech companies wouldn't be solely relying on AI for development due to obvious reasons. Machines can have more intelligence but it can never ever have human emotions and feelings. Stop creating FOMO and I wouldn't be surprised if you launch some new course 😂
