Lately, I get depressed that I haven't achieved anything big in tech yet. Sometimes I feel suicidal, your point about hope is very correct. jab bhi career switch ki sochta hu, har jagah toh competition aur saturation hai, kaha hi jaunga.
Big tech is not a huge achievement anyway. Many people are voluntarily leaving because of unsuitability and uncertainty in tech and starting their own projects. Heck, there are many other avenues to earn better income besides tech... it's one of the silliest reasons beat yourself up over.

i do agree that its saturated but also the love for this subjects is sooo intense i cant resist sir. i still remember my childhood(when i was 6, 2009) when my father brought a IBM. my love for computer started and still after soo many years i am in college and code and study these subjects for hours and hours like an addiction. So moral is "It is what it is", ill better be doing something i love for the next 40 years rather than hating my job.

If you literally developed a taste and interest for subject like operating system, digital electronic, computer hardware, networking apart from coding, then consider yourself a genius because only I know the pain in the a-ss it was to study these subjects, except the coding part which is fun.
Sir , maine polytechnic krte wakt socha tha govt job lunga but uske badh papa k kehne par btech kr liya aur iss bich mujje time nhi mila ki main govt job k liye prepare kru and maine btech k badh v maine placement ka nhi socha kyuki mujhe govt job chahiye thi but 2023 me jab maine govt job k liye prepare krna start kiya mere father ki death ho gyi heart attack ki waZah se ab situation ye hai ki mujhe urgent koi v job chahiye but main ab na govt job k liye ready hu aur na hi placement k liye but financially bhot problem hai paise to chahiye ...bhot dipression me tha but ab apki baate sunn k thodi aasaa hui hai to bss himmat nhi harna mujhe . ❤

@@myrealm7115 Reality is these you tubers make money from these kind of emotional videos and keep manipulating and milking the herd. 2023 me 2.6 lacs+ layoffs hue IT sector me. 2024 me ab tak around 60k layoffs ho chuke hai. AI bull market ka leader Nvidia tha and apart from it, every other big company such as Microsoft, Apple, AMD, Google, etc. sab ke AI products ke wajah se hi stocks prices badhe hai. Reality yahi hai ki companies cost cutting kar rahe hia, layoffs kar rahe hai taki AI me invest kar paye. Web/App development is on the verge of extinction. Aaj ki hi news hai, Microsoft Teams app ke chat feature wale developers ko layoff karenge because they're shifting their interest towards AI features. I'll tell you one more stat, so far only 64% of IIT Bombay students have been placed in this placement season. Even in my college (IIT Dhanbad) only 50% students got placed this year (2022-23 had around 80%+ placements till Feb23 - my graduation year). Nvidia's CEO said that English would become the new coding language in the next 5 years. Many AI godfathers around the globe have said that AGI will be achieved under 5 years.
