Absolutely beautiful guitar!! I just bought a J-185 Historic in Antique Natural, and I love it. But that is a beautiful J-200, and I would love to own one one day.
Welcome back Paul ! I wish there were a choice W/WO electronics as I never use any , only plugged in my AJ just to see how it sounded and if they worked. No pickups and No double guard ,, unless your last name is Everly ! Let her bust top show just what she has to offer ! I hope she stay`s in the stable for a very long time she sounds amazing !
That sounds great 😮..i would definitely take that to a gig and play it..isnt that why we buy expensive custom made guitars for.. not just stare at it and play in our living rooms at home. .
Donna says absolutely and I say no way Jose 😂. It would be beautiful with the double, but I have to vote no. What a beautiful guitar, brother man! Outstanding video and I see your exercising your Constitutional right to experiment with editing 😂. Great touch! Enjoyed this one, brother man 👍🏻
A split decision in the Cox household 😆. Too funny 😂 Legs On is adamantly opposed to the idea also. I don’t know….🤷♀️ Thanks so much, this was a fun one to make Brother man!
I would never put second pickguard on BEAUTIFULLY toned spruce. Red grain is 100% more beautiful and intricate than a slab of plastic. And yes, it will rob tone to some extent.
@@paulgeorgia8013I AM! You're also going to be in trouble even trying to find a matching set of beautiful left-right guards. Then you'll be in trouble making them perfectly cover the sunbathing trace of the original one.
Double pickguard? Paul, don't even think about doing it... it's a bit like a 60 yrs old man growing a moustache and buying a denim jacket..... an act of desperation. That J200 is beautiful and elegant just as it is. It needs nothing except to be played! 🙂
I just don't understand why they keep putting pickups in these guitars! I guess it's to be able to sell them at a higher price. The paradox being that it costs extra to get one without the pickup!
I agree - realistically, how many people are going to use these pickups? I bought a J200 because I want the sound of a J200. I can make any guitar sound the same through pickups. These pickups are at least $200 wholesale, not to mention the labor cost of installation. That labor/cost could easily be applied to make a better guitar. Thanks for watching!
1. No, I would not play that out, have others that are less expensive and more suited for that, and 2. Would NEVER put another pickguard on that - ugly and could dampen the sound. The guitar is perfect as is - play it and enjoy it...
I would never put such heavy tone-DAMPENING pickup into such instrument. Pick any guitar you have maybe sigma, pull out piezo from under the saddle and leave it to dangle inside, put taller saddle into the bridge, and see how tone improves by 10-20%. Not even talking about having heavy tone/volume preamp attached to the rosette.

Paul, you should definitely do the double pick guard!!! All your other J - 200's are single pickguard. Stunning guitar, my friend!!! 👍🏻
Beautiful Gibson my friend!! Sounds cool!! Awsome Paul🎸
Thank you Xavi! I really love playing this one. I’m powerless against her seduction!! ❤️. Thanks so much for your support! 🙏😎🎸

Thanks my friend! Yes, all of you have talked some sense into me, and I won’t be doing the double guard !! 💂 🎸😎🙏
Super awesome guitar, Paul
Thanks Kyle!!

@LegsON you’re doing a great job of talking me out of a bad idea
I’m enjoying your concert videos, by the way! You sound great! 🎸😎
@@paulgeorgia8013 Thanks a lot, Paul!
Very flattered hearing that from you.❤️

Ha ha! Thank you for the sanity check!
I love the analogy! 🎸🙏😎❤️
I dunno man, those Everly Bros J-180’s are fire with the double pickguards. Do what you want.
OOOOH MINE WHAT A CATCH!!!
BETTER than young Britney in latex...

Yes, thanks to responses like this, I’ve come to my senses. No double guard happening on this one 😎🎸
The guitar market is killing itself.. there are plenty of options revealing themselves.. this is nice but beyond..
I agree with you. I’m working on a video predicting the collapse of the guitar market. Stay tuned and thanks for your support 🙏😎🎸
