I’ve seen the good and the bad. Especially the last 19 yrs made me fall in love more.( yea the winning time was great and amazing) now seeing this improvement in every department am happy and beyond. To see fans like Lee G. I let ‘em have their own opinion and move on. He’s just 1 of those that taking winning and competing for granted. It’s all about how a team is run from bottom to top. The last 2 decade Arsenal was a laughing stock! Including the fans! Let this rebuild takes its place and see.

I feel like I'm 5 years in the past. My issue with Lee's logic has always been that his opinion is not even an opinion, he actually ends up saying nothing. His stance has always been, "If we win/challenge the league, it is what is expected so no praise deserved. If we don't, sack the manager and start again from scratch"
He makes short sighted comments and defends it by saying "I was correct at the time", like thanks a lot mate, we can all see that we finished 8th. It's nothing profound that he is adding by making that statement but a lot of fans could see the on field improvement, even if results didn't go our way. Sack Arteta and we start from scratch and will take another 3-5 years to maybe even get to where we are now again.
Lee thinks he has a "winners" mentality by crying and complaining about sacking the manager after every loss or failure. That's a loser's mentality. All Arsenal fans want us to compete in every competition, we're just not delusional.

Also regarding quick results here are two more examples: Tuchel came into Chelsea in January 2021 and won the Champions League in May 2021 another example is that Hansi Flick went into Bayern on 3rd November 2019 and by the end of that season, he won the league, DFB Pokal and Champions League.

Arsenal were in shambles before Arteta took over. We were struggling to make top 4 and our football was painful to watch. When Arteta signed, he literally said he that he had to rebuild the club, not just the team but even the staff, to make us into a champions league level team.
Spurs appointing Mourinho and Conte is the same is basically them trying the whole "we'll buy a serial winner" as if that's all it takes. Then when they don't get the result they want in a couple of years, they sack them and try to buy the next big manager who is currently out of a job. This whole "serial winner" manager thing is fucking stupid. Experience is important but Arteta has a lot to prove so he is hungry to win, he's an ex-Arsenal captain, he has learned under Wenger and Guardiola and what he did with Xhaka alone is proof that he is exceptional at developing players. We player the best football in the League now and you have people like Lee talking as if this is "expected". Completely deluded against the fact that we were struggling as a club and Arteta has pulled off a miracle.

Bringing Simone to Arsenal is very dumb. Look at the profiles they have plus the style of play. Simone wont be able to work with that it doesn't suite him. There is zero reason for teta to get sacked. Let him nurture these young ballers at the club. The future is bright for this club and players. The relationship that is building in the club between the players and coach will be very beneficial. But Arsenal will have to pay big money soon for big players who are GAME CHANGER. Player who can take the game with their grip and be the game changer. Player who are very reliable and experienced. Arsenal don't have enough of this. They should soon upgrade on Xhaxa with someone who muchhh better. Maybe Savic from Lazio. Also buying a big money Striker will most likely transform this team into a competitive European side. I would be very disappointed if we don't win anything this season, but I wouldn't want Arteta sacked. Anyone can see that Mikel has transformed this squad into a team that can win and his process isn't even finished yet. I do believe he needs to work on getting us competing in multiple competitions at once, but I think he's done enough for us to support him and his team to see the finished product of his project for Arsenal

Everyone could see that we finished 8th and all of us want to win the premiere league, the difference is that we could see how Arteta was improving the actual football, even if results did not go our way. The problem with his stance is that if we win, "It is what is expected" and if we lose, "I was right the entire time".
It's like saying, "If you get the highest score in your exam, it's expected. If you get the second highest, you're a failure" .

I can say this as an arsenal fan I would have preferred don carlo to us and arteta to Everton (at that time). I also think it was a mistake to sign artetas new deal before he had secured top four last season. I also didn't like how he spent some of his transfers. But he has taken the time and the money and the trust of the board and actually succeeded. And it's wonderful to see. Many wrong (in my eyes) decisions have led us to this moment where we are doing things right. Lee doesn't have to 180. And yes I would love to be in more cup competitions but to be honest I'd take the prem over all those cups
