Arsenal fan here. As much as i don't rate havertz. We have gotten more out of Havertz for 65 mil than chelsea have for enzo for 105 mil and that is the point. Yes havertz has not worked in midfield for us but Arteta has moved him and found his strength and played him as a 9 where his output is decent. With Enzo the problem is he is lacking in so many sections that if he doesn't work in an 8 there is no other ways to utilize him. His lack of versatility is killing him. Cannot defend well so cannot play as 6, Cannot be creative enough so cannot play as 10, lacks pace so cannot play out wide, Lacks strength so cannot play as number 9, He doesn't even have the instinct to attack spaces like ramsey had for us to play him as 8. and that has made him look bad.
So hard to listen to. It’s like kids squabbling

Let’s assume for the whole 90 mins, all your forwards will always stay in the opponent box, and all your defenders will always stay in your own box.
What does that do to your midfielders?
They will have less passing options around them in the build up and in the attack. They will need to run more in transitions. And they will have less help when they are defending as their team don’t defend with eleven players.
A less talented midfielder who is more hardworking, will look better in this system.
Poch needs to reduce the vertical distance of the team. So that they will always press, attack, build up and defend with eleven players. The way Chelsea play is not “total” enough.
Enzo play exactly the same way before he got any injuries.
Enzo is clearly a lot more talented than Gallagher and Caicedo.
The system is the problem.
Enzo would be a great player if he plays for ManCity, Arsenal, Barcelona or Leverkusen.

At no point has Enzo looked like a world class player. Problem with some fans is if a player plays good for 5months but then has a poor 12months after, they will only want to judge his best form as his natural level. I always say you should be judged on what performances you produce the majority of the time and the Majority of Enzo's time at chelsea he has been below par so thats hes level until he has more good games than bad ones simple.

Last year Enzo ran the game it's the way Palmer is running the game rn. Everything went through Enzo. the amount of balls he gave to Havertz just for Havertz to miss is madd. Enzo was genuinely on smoke last season. i think the reason is the whole midfield was his. Rn he has to share it with 2 other midfielders. The level of freedom Poch gives Palmer, Enzo no longer has it this season, but last season his heatmap alone would show you that he had freedom to roam around wherever and whenever.
Its not him its the manager. Even Caicedo is doing worse than he did at Brighton, we bought one of the most press resistant CDM's in Caicedo, a player with the ability to find a dangerous through ball as well, but he's used differently which makes him a shadow of the player he actually is. Enzo last season gave Fabrigas vibes. somehow this season he's digressed
