"Not tolerating being a punching bag" = 100%. That's my biggest issue as well.

I think I feel hormone imbalances physically more than emotionally. I use to get moodier in my earlier 20s, but I don't think I've ever gotten that crazy. Now I just usually feel sad.

No, because it doesn't get bad and its usually when my hormones are fluctuating.

The answer to being with a partner with pmdd is simply hope that she understands and appreciates the hell that she puts you through and is at least a little remorseful. That is all you can ever hope to get. But don't hold your breath; they are under no obligation to try to help the issue, bc its your "job" to suffer for them. If she refuses to even acknowledge any form of treatment, then LEAVE HER and have a better life. She is not special; pmdd increases female narcissistic traits while allowing her to escape responsibility for abuse; she is someone who will never be held accountable for her actions bc "it's not her fault". Their thought process is that the abuse they inflict is not abuse bc youre a man and if you can't take it, then find a new wife and kids. Get away from her while you can.l; it will only get worse.

Of course men focus on themselves in this context. The jokes to make you feel better about the fact that you are insensitive and don’t know what to do so just don’t do anything and we have to figure it out alone without any type of support because your ego can’t take the fact that you sometimes make it worse. We have been raised in a patriarchy. If men had their period there would be a day off every month, and probably some type of cure for all the downsides of our monthly cycle by now. Instead you feel like a punching bag and are hurt. Also how did you find this woman? She’s trying to be understanding with you both and the best advice is for men to ask their partner and validate how shitty we feel. Don’t talk about how you’ve been raised by woman so you get it. You don’t and NEVER will! Get down from your high horses.
