- As part of World Suicide Prevention Day 2020, we talked safety plans. Do you have one? If you regularly suffer from suicidal thoughts or ideation or have even made previous attempts, it can be a good idea to have a safety plan in place for when perhaps you cannot think straight and need to keep yourself safe.

My symptoms start about 15 or 16 days before my period. Then it is just a count down to relief. I work out for 45 minutes a day 6 days a week in the morning. I find that helps. Their are days that I can't mentally or physically get it together to get up and go until mid afternoon though. I really have to push myself, but I get it done. On the really hard days, I let my husband know that I wont be talking much that day. I feel that is better than snapping at him for asking me what's wrong. Such a shit thing to go through

All my suicide attempts have been before my period.
With pmdd my thoughts change, I am so anxious i cannot cope, feel alone & panicky i am hypersensitive, feel so low i cant speak, plus my words and speech is thick and clumsy during this time which adding to my social anxiety. I'm convinced im a terrible person and about to be discarded and abandoned and i have racing thoughts other people would be much better off without me, they could find a replacement.
Girl me too
Huh, I really didn't know this was an thing till today. I already hate myself, but it gets realllll bad before it.

This disease has ruined my life in so many ways..I live in fear and without hope of it ever being resolved..There is very little help or compassion..How many women die because of the lack of understanding and assistance? This is NO JOKE!

Am going through this right now
Why do I forget I have pmdd every month 🥲 my boyfriend was having a bad day yesterday and we didn't talk on the phone long like we always do so my mind went directly to "he doesn't want me, break up with him before he hurts you first" my mom just talked me out my own head thank God then I check my period calendar and was like... ohhhhhhh 🤡
Hi there. Thank you for your comment. We can totally relate to this! - Nichole, IAPMD
I like your voice; you sound quite compassionate. Also, very good suggestions. I’ve been in therapy, on and off, for years, and I am just now realizing that many/most of my issues stem from my struggle with PMDD. I’m looking into getting the actual diagnosis and treatment very soon yet researching some “easy” and at-home ways to get through that 1-2 week time period of hell.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Hi vestagoddess. Thank you for your comment. Apologies about the late reply. I hope you eventually got a diagnosis and found some coping mechanisms which helped you. There's no need to thank us! - Nichole, IAPMD
Sounds good but not easy, I don't want to be a burden on anyone. And ppl i have tried to tell don't know what to say or do

Get your hormones checked right before your period. Find a napro doctor. Holistic. My progesterone wss very low. Bio identical prigesterone helped me. Compounding pharmacies can help also.

Having pmdd is living in hell...for me
Hi Monika. Thank you for your comment. We can totally relate. Sending hugs your way! - Nichole, IAPMD
coffee? really? Coffee is not good for you. And my solution against pmdd lies in the diet: you need to have a fiber rich, lean, meat-free, dairy free, additives free, alcohol and caffeine free 4th week of your cycle. You can stuff on vegetables, fruit, seeds, nuts, honey, and your bowels will flush out excess estrogen, leading to: less bloating, more progesterone, meaning smoother cramping, less pain, less suicidal tendencies, less anger, a lean feeling and a gentle period like when you were 16.
I never had gentle periods at 16, they were even worse as a teenager and early to mid twenties i had to take time off.
Diet made absolutely no significant difference to pmdd
Hi Helena. Thank you for your comment. Apologies about the late response. I am really glad to hear that you found something which worked for you. As PMDD is a individualised spectrum disorder, treatments/coping mechanisms which work for some may not work for others. You can find out more about treatment options in the link below. iapmd.org/treatment-options - Nichole, IAPMD
I think you're right. Even Dr. Berg is suggesting a special diet that people are claiming works. Ever since I came down with PMDD during perimenopause, I haven't been able to have caffeine without it making me anxious, and when I'm coming down from it, I feel depressed.
drink k 5 moringga capsule everyday. works on my girlfriend.

*Hannibal Everfresh Dimalanta,* You haven't lived until you come home from work and all the knives and scissors in the house have disappeared. Miraculously they all reappeared a few days later.
Dude, don't get her pregnant. If you do, man up, you did your part, now you devote your life to the kids.
