      @@iim1030 lol not even close. Van Dijk the clear winner for everyone understanding football. And the fact that Sterling is even considered when Mo Salah is not is laughable. Sterling goals and assists: 27. Salah goals and assists: 29. I rest my case.

      Falx There's a reason y ppl like Shearer n Lineker picked sterling over VVD. U say they don't understand football? They're former players (both excellent in their careers) so I think they know what they're talking about more than u do I do n a lot of other ppl do. Sterling didn't disappear 4 a 15-20 game period like Salah did. Sterling has been consistent throughout the whole season n hasn't dipped in form once. Just because a plyr scores and assists more goals doesn't mean they're better. By your logic, Richarlison had a better season than Bernardo Silva due 2 more goal involvements. But we all know thats not true. Also 2 make it clear I hav no problem with VVD winning POTY.

    • @farukusu
      @farukusu Před 5 lety

      @@iim1030 15-20 game period? You are delusional. Salah has been vital in every game he's played in. Even though he didn't score for 5 or 6 games in a row he still contributed offensively with brilliant build up and assists. He's also been doublemarked the entire season but he's still Premier Leagues top goalscorer with 21 goals. He was also the first player to reach 20 pl goals just like last season.

    big admiration for sterling but all he's done is maintained form from last season. 17 goals is normal for a team that scores 100 in the league. Due to his needless criticism it's nice he's being viewed in a positive light now, the racism situation is off the pitch and he's won an award for it so that's irrelevant to on the pitch performances, but he doesn't even come close to winning player of the season. Him sane aguero have all scored similar amount of goals assists. it's all been maintained, when we say Player of the season it needs to be a massive influence! like salah broke the record of goals 32 (still top goal scorer 21) but even he doesn't come close to winning it again, however virgil completely transformed the defence and no one in the league has dribbled past him or dominated him. His stats are more incredible from his growth, all the attackers this season have all been on similar levels Liverpool's front 3 and man city's front 3.

The impact a plyr has made isn't the most significant aspect as it concerns what was there b4 the player arrived or came 2 form, which has nothing 2 do with the actual plyr itself, hence Sterling should b POTY even b4 u consider what he's been through off the pitch

Allisons made at least half a dozen mistakes and yeah you've been lucky he's not cost you yet, but it could've easily been you on the other end of the goalkeeping errors you benefited from at Everton, Fulham, Tottenham and Palace. As for ederson, Pep preferred a keeper who can play with his feet and who's distribution is top class, after breaking every record going last season and scoring 157 goals to Liverpools 100 in this, who am I to argue with him?
