When you think now of Maldini, Thuram, Cannavaro, Nesta, Seedorf, Zidane, Pirlo, Ronaldo9, Nedved, Crespo, Totti, Cafu, Batistuta, Rui Costa, Vieri, Shevchenko, Weah, Del Piero...Could go on. Zlatan was in my opinion, always underrated. They never hyped him up like they did Ronaldinho, Messi, or CR7.. he’s always had the potential, but I remember when he was at Barca, Pep Guardiola didn’t like him because he didn’t fit Barca’s system of short, fast players.. Zlatan could of been at the top in Europe, and in my books he is.. Not as many trophy’s as CR7 or Messi, but he’s a legend.. from the mid 2000’s era.. he’s like a relic of the past but still very current.. there will never be another player to step on the pitch to score the crazy goals he has... If Ronaldo and Messi didn't exist, Zlatan would be in the conversation for greatest player of all time. He is anyway arguably the greatest striker of all time. Here are some stats to support my claim:
    - He is the only player in the last 20 years, except these two extra-terrestrials, to have 500+ career goals -- that too all in Europe's Top 5 leagues. The only others to have matched this feat in history are Eusebio, Di Stefano, Puskas and Muller. His goalscoring puts him in the 5 greatest strikers of all time.
    - His longevity at the top level is second to none. His career spans 3 decades: The 90's, 2000's and the 2010's. If he plays for 1 more season, his career will have entered its 4th decade, making him the only outfield player in history to do so. Other outfield players to come close are Giggs, Scholes and Maldini.
    - His adaptability is unparalleled: He has played for Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan, PSG, Manchester United, LA Galaxy and Sweden and always been the best player on his team (barring at Barcelona, when an extra-terrestrial called Messi was better). He has scored 20+ goals a season on average for each of these teams in a period spanning 18 years, showing he can score in any league, against any opposition, with all levels of teammates, at all ages, and under any manager.
    - He is arguably the most complete striker ever. He has breathtaking skill, an unstoppable long-range shot, fantastic finishing ability, unbelievable heading, an equally good weak foot, and is arguably the only striker ever who was consistently a great goalscorer as well as a consistent scorer of great goals.
It is Zlatan's misfortune that he was born around the same time as Ronaldo and Messi. Had it not been for the existence of these two, he would have been the best player in the world for a decade, and would have won multiple Ballon'd Ors and Champions Leagues.

You make some great points, I am very fond of Zlatans influence in changing outcomes to favor his team. He scored goals, he created chances and broke down defenses by himself. Not many are as adept as he was throughout his career and his overpowering strength and height was definitely something to be revered. But in my opinion the best striker aside from the great Pele was Ronaldo. He had the skill, speed and strength to take teams on by himself. Teams trembled when Ronaldo appeared on the field and his achievements are second to only the great Pele. Also he was the only player to come back after a broken foot and still destroy teams by himself; every other player slowly diminished after injuries. His second injury was his match
