- Today, I'm reviewing the Moza R9 V2 wheel base, the Moza SR-P pedal set, the GS V2 GT wheel rim, and the ES wheel rim with the ES 12in Mod. Moza kindly sent out these products to accompany Bea's new Alpine Racing TRX build, so expect to see lots more of these products on the channel!

A great review. Just ordered the r9 with the gt gs wheel.. Looking forward to getting it.
I'm waiting mine in shipping but honestly moza has got such a sweet option list. Like I feel like they have such sweet deals. for example on entry level gear instead of going with the basic logitech or thrustmaster belt options you can go for the R5 Bundle and get a DD wheel its going to be much better, I think the R9 is a great mid level piece of kit. Then if you figure out that you really love sim racing then you can go for the likes of simucube and spend 5k and above.
I'm using the R5 bundle since Christmas. personally I think that for most casual gamers it might be more than enough. way better than any belt driven stuff, but with the flexibility of DDs.
Doing mostly iRacing ovals so 1) I don't need clutch :D 2) the bundled ES wheel is just perfect.
So, I'm absolutely happy with it. Far not the best on the market, but "good enough".
Thank you for the review. Definitely my favourite video.
Damm, that was a nice review! Very informative, very thorough. Thanks a lot!
I have r9 and cs v2 and gs v2. I have them for 3 weeks now and I like it. Heusinkveld sprints for my pedals.
a sim rig i can actually afford
What’s your Setup?
@@Dboss_GOAT an awful one

Cmon
Mines bad to
I recently upgraded from the Logitech G29 to a Noza R9 and it was a night and day difference. I've actually had to turn the force feedback down to 700% just since my arms don't yet have the strength to do an hour-long stint. The pedals, though, are such a massive improvement that I'm recommending them as a stand-alone upgrade to even casual fans who want to take a small step up without having to commit several hundred to the wheel base and a wheel.
Same I upgraded from a G29 to a Moza R9 With the FSR Formula wheel and its really nice and definitely a good choice
“Noza R9”
Which pedals did you get?
I'm making a similar switch from my G27 setup. though i'm a little concerned about using the CS wheel on the open wheel stuff. but I guess I'll have to live with it for now and save my pennies to eventually get the cheaper formula wheel but I expect to have this setup for a long time.
me to hahah same thing im supriced over how many nm it uses in gt3 cars its insane
That rig flex is brutal dude...
the background music in the quick release part of the video is used in a dutch youtuber disstrack, took me a while to realize
moza's higher end products also look awesome and i will try them out if ill have the money
Me having no budget for these wheels and still watching the vid
Love it Cam❤
This is amazing, I use my Xbox for racing though. I want to upgrade my setup and have been looking to see what’s available for a decent price. Maybe if I ever get enough for a good computer, I’ll think about getting Moza products!
I would totally get this if I had a pc
My Fanatec CSL DD just broke down and there was a smell of something burning. While I'm waiting for the support to answer I ordered this wheel base. I'm excited to test it!
Thank u for convincing me to spend more of my money, will definitely be looking to buy one of these, maybe even the r16 or the r21.
Go simmagic route instead
Cost me 1452$ for the R9, ES Wheel, SRP Pedals (w/ access kit). Totally worth it, love it after using a G923 for 3 years. (For anyone aski g about the prices, I live in Turkey)
May i ask what your pithouse settings are for iracing?
You inspired me to be a sim racer!
14:02 and the 3rd group are people like me who are too broke
but still want it
Can you do a review for console setups??
I have r9v2+es+SRP Moza has done a very good job except for the relatively few supported games.
Hi, I want to buy moza r9 v2 but with es wheel as well. because is much cheaper than cs wheel. Is it compatible? what is your experience with r9 and es wheel? thank you so much
@@xhenisxhjxh7978yep compatible
Great review! Thanks a lot for the input! But... why do you think it's not for esports drivers? What are they gonna miss out on?
It has insanely realistic feedback and control, it makes it harder to race and makes it more realistic. It would make more sense for an esports driver to use a wheel setup that is less realistic to make it easier to race
It would be amazing if you did a drift video! (They get mad views)
6:45 driving that car with that style of wheel looks stupendously difficult
It was actually proven by one of the large CZcams Sim racing content creators that with every part of the feedback turned off completely, Zero FFB, Zero Motion they could still produce the same lap times as with everything turned on.
So what that means is we spend many $$$$$$ on stuff that DOESN'T improve our performance times, but it is much more immersive.
I've seen a lot people say that yes it doesn't improve performance it's more just paying for consistency. Having the ability to know if you'll slide and easily tell the limits of the car rather than guessing.
@@brodyheaton7325 IT give huge immersion and immersion makes it feel faster even though it isn't, but I have FFB stuff and immersive stuff, and although it doesn't make me faster it does feel nice, and that's what matters to me
Seriously it’s a game immersion is everything….
Immersion is important, which is why I said it was more immersive.
i have the R9 GS wheel as well as their premium crp pedals and love them
hi, i know this seems unrelated but are you in any negotiations for f2 ?
Wish they'd do something like this for first person shooter games with a Gun controller that's realistically weighted, reloading and recoil. Would be awesome. You could train at home.
im sure it already exists just hasnt been put in production. VR is still in its infancy and its gonna make gaming way more immersive as long as you have the money.
@@mech0p You may as well buy a real one and go to the range at that point.
I’m just getting into formula 1 I grew up in Minnesota so I have been obsessed with baseball football basketball & hockey my whole life. I’m on a budget but I was thinking about getting the Logitech 923 cuz everything looks decent on it including the peddles then I was gonna buy a formula 1 mod wheel for when I play F1 type game.
Is there a better alternative than the Logitech that’s around the same price point?
If you are on a tight budget then I'd probably try and get a used thrustmaster T300. There are options for formula wheels on that as well, the SF1000 wheel looks beautiful for the thrustmaster but its the more expensive wheel. They also do load cell pedals which you can always upgrade to when funds allow that are quite cheap as well
I would love to have that sim 😞
best videos on youtube
Can you use this rig on play station 4
First! I love your content man!
5:21 ain't no way you used a coolkidfbmx clip on this channel. I watch him all the time.
what the different of Moza R9 V2 and old moza R9 ??
do you like the trx?
T-LCM or SRP?
Whats the purpose of the heel toeing? seems like that minor burst of acceleration while braking is pointless but im also not a pro driver lol
Matching engine revs to put less strain on the clutch. A good technique to learn for when you have a proper car to drive.
Between moza and sim magic what would be better ?
Simagic
@@oppgoblin1358 thx
Definitely would not call it budget XD Yet, for the price it's awesome pice of gear.
I have no rig and needed a base i can move in and out easily. The R5 is honestly perfect. Would have got an R9 but its more down to practicality.
0:01 what wheel is that?
im not sure but could be a custom one
How does he call this budget wheel
Its alnost 1000$
me watching while playing asseto with mouse steering
0:08 no way that's KristianPH.
Didn't you get smoked on the race track?
I want this wheel so bad but I’m on ps
Me in console: *crys*
Does anyone know the cockpit he uses in the video
Does this cookpit right for you?

I think R5 bundle is for childs under 13
me watching this with a broken g29, knowing damn well I have less than 3 bucks in my account
Budget...In my times budget was adove 600 € for a full competitive kit
Second wow
The whole setup does not cost less than $1000
If you get the R9, the SRP with a clutch, and the ES wheel, that’s around $800.
@@CameronDasRacing thanks for clarifying mate I didn’t know
Nothing Budget about a Moza R9 costing $999.00 here in New Zealand.
Yeah, best budget product for $875
Suneo
POV: you have a t150😔
The npc guy ☠️
Question of the day: What do you use as your wheel?🏎️
I use a Thrust Master T80😂😂
@@Dboss_GOAT I actually updgraded a few month to the r9 with gt v2 wheel from a t 300 set and i must say is really lifechanging. But I paired them with the clubsport v3 because i think they are a bit mor customisable and there is more third party stuff available
The feel of the GS wheel is not great. It feels hollow. Like a toy.
Sorry but 9Nm is not the "ideal system" as you say. Most sim racers will outgrow 9Nm within a few months and be wanting more. Reviews like this with affiliate links to purchase are never fully genuine.
I don’t believe that’s true. Most sim racers aren’t even competing. It’s a relatively small subset of people who do leagues or even play a game like iRacing. Sure, if you can afford it, go bigger, but I don’t think it’s necessary.
I disagree, if you went to 16 or 21 Nm too soon, especially when starting out, you're leapfrogging learning racecraft and race feel at a more manageable setting. Sure, further down the line upgrade, but 9Nm is the sweet spot for a start IMO.
9nm is plenty to feel everything you need. I have the r9 with Heusinkveld Ultimate pedals and I highly recommend spending more on pedals than wheel base. My buddy has DD2 and he prefers my setup simply because the pedals are great and the wheel is very quick and sharp.
Stronger wheel bases are more suited for real life driver training, they don't make you faster in the sim. Slower if anything. Ask many alien sim racers, some even turn the feedback off.
hi i am looking to get into irl racing I turn 16 in a couple days but i find that it is really expensive to get into anything and i can barely afford rental karting every other week at my local track in the uk any help @cameron Das
yours sincerely Lucas Hull
Moza wheels are garbage, no game compatability.
What are you talking about? I can use my moza R9 with any game lol, you must be a console player or something…. If your talking about the led dash you have to have the moza app running in the background for it to work other wise the wheel works perfectly fine, it usually comes down to user error in which case contacting support is easy and they reply quickly but it sounds like you don’t even own the product in question lol
That's an comment taken straight out of an ass XD
Buy a PC ffs
