🤔 NEW HERE? 🤔
Hi! My name is Christopher Odd and I’ve been playing video games on the internet for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games too!

Gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power.
Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a Mind Flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption, and become ultimate evil.
From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2 comes a next-generation RPG, set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons.
Choose from a wide selection of D&D races and classes, or play as an origin character with a hand-crafted background. Adventure, loot, battle and romance as you journey through the Forgotten Realms and beyond. Play alone, and select your companions carefully, or as a party of up to four in multiplayer.
Abducted, infected, lost. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power. That power may help you to survive, but there will be a price to pay, and more than any ability, the bonds of trust that you build within your party could be your greatest strength. Caught in a conflict between devils, deities, and sinister otherworldly forces, you will determine the fate of the Forgotten Realms together.
Forged with the new Divinity 4.0 engine, Baldur’s Gate 3 gives you unprecedented freedom to explore, experiment, and interact with a world that reacts to your choices. A grand, cinematic narrative brings you closer to your characters than ever before, as you venture through our biggest world yet.
The Forgotten Realms are a vast, detailed and diverse world, and there are secrets to be discovered all around you -- verticality is a vital part of exploration. Sneak, dip, shove, climb, and jump as you journey from the depths of the Underdark to the glittering rooftops of the Upper City. How you survive, and the mark you leave on the world, is up to you.
allows you to combine your forces in combat, and split your party to follow your own quests and agendas. Concoct the perfect plan together… or introduce an element of chaos when your friends least expect it.
offer a hand-crafted experience, each with their own unique traits, agenda, and outlook on the world. Their stories intersect with the entire narrative, and your choices will determine whether those stories end in redemption, salvation, domination, or many other outcomes.
based on the D&D 5e ruleset. Team-based initiative, advantage & disadvantage, and roll modifiers join combat cameras, expanded environmental interactions, and a new fluidity in combat that rewards strategy and foresight.
through your choices, and the roll of the dice. No matter who you play, or what you roll, the world and its inhabitants will react to your story.
allows you to pause the world around you at any time even outside of combat. Whether you see an opportunity for a tactical advantage before combat begins, want to pull off a heist with pin-point precision, or need to escape a fiendish trap. Split your party, prepare ambushes, sneak in the darkness -- create your own luck!

Sorry this was 28 minutes late! Enjoy our toughest challenge yet!
perfectly timed for my dinner after gym :D
I love the pace that you're putting these out. Thanks for all the entertainment!
Suggestion to try. Action - Dip. you can dip your weapon into pools of acid or poison on the ground, or source of fire, and magic will happen. Also you can throw Healing potions at downed or near dead chars, like a grenade and it will work!or sleeping potion an be thrown at enemies.SLEEEEP!
@@morranhaelkor oh yeah I didn't consider throwing the sleeping potion for a possible AOE sleep
No problelm.
Gotta love Odd missing the 3 revive scrolls in the vendor inventory and gaslighting Luckless unintentionally xD
WHAT WAIT?! WHAHT?!
@@LucklessLovelocksyou heard the man lol
@@Jeremycook_ I sent him the screenshot with a big white arrow haha. To be fair when you're looking at so many items I can see how he missed them. This game has A LOT going on it's easy to miss details even when they're important/simple.
@@LucklessLovelocks 👍for sure and I'd guess playing it and trying to make it entertaining for others will tend to make you hurry
It's a beautiful cycle Odds blindness and Lovelocks nice reminder never fails
I don't know who got shot down harder: The Phase Spider Matriarch by the Dark Urge, or The Dark Urge by Astarion!
ZING!
Odd gets so mad when LL explores while he's reading, but he does the same thing like every time
I have a similar take. Odd is... oddly... aggressive/rude towards LL. Feels like a "play how I want you to play" kinda thing. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong 🤷♂
I agree he is very short and stubborn in this playthrough but it kind of makes it entertaining 😄
@@mballen07I've always thought that about him, it's why I can't ever complete a co-op series of his
Guys, I think you are doing great. This game is dense and even if you are DND legend the UI is a lot. It’s easy to miss stuff. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I’m loving this playthrough. I like that Luckless isn’t a pushover and gives as good as he gets by annoying you even further…but Odd maybe dial back the dad energy a bit! FIRE BROS FOR EVER. Also, you’re a dragon, remember the dragon breath……..😂❤❤❤
34:12 I need to know how many barrels luckless has in his inventory xD. A true barrelmancer
I wish I had more explode on impact barrels. I think Odd blew all those up with his cat ass torch antics.
1:13:22 That was hilarious when withers was mid-ritual and Odd was freaking out about to ask for a refund, then the two corpses got resurrected as he went back to check wtf was happening
13:25 A blind man looks around but never touches the 3 Revivify scrolls clearly right in the middle item list. I caught myself yelling at the screen, "they're right there!" and "How can you call LL a liar when you are blind?" And, then I had to zen myself and say, "it is just a game. nobody is going to die. they might stay dead, but maybe they won't die at all. here's hoping."
It's also honestly just easy to miss things in this game. There's A TON of stuff going on and when you're looking at a bunch of items in random order while talking to someone, recording and being aware people are watching and judging you while trying to be entertaining you'll just miss things. I always recommend people try recording their gameplay while talking and trying to entertain and watching it back to see how many things they miss or how boring they are.
@@LucklessLovelocksDon't apologize to your abuser. Odd should try and be a more progressive thrall owner.
It's kinda cool to see Luckless hold his own when Odd goes into perfectionistic tactician mode. That being said I hope these two figure it out and end the playthrough with no beef XD
Shadowheart sruggling with death saves, Karlach at 20% health. Meanwhile one big ass wolf patiently killing one spiderling after another asking "Do you need me over there?" ... I'd love to see Odd play actual DnD
@@windinthepages Well Odd seems to like fire so he probably wouldn't mind.
Every time Luckless gets excited then says something about a healing potion, I burst out laughing 😂
Can't wait for a continuation of Odd vs his toughest enemy, the environmental terrain!!! I almost snorted out my water with Odds "oh he is... DEVIOUS" only to then get shot down lmaooo. Odd vs companions approval ratings confirmed rank 2 enemy for him lol
it always interesting to see the different progression paths, me and my friends arrived at the spiders at lvl 3 and was still able to win because of cheesing fall damage
i just used a void grenade and pulled her into the underdark on the first round you can still loot her in the underdark
ya did the same by attacking it at level 3 but we pushed it in to the void
Not Chris being reject by Astarion, it was so so close.. but wrong option there, when a little too far too fast there... Hopefully it won't be too late :' )
this is my favourite baldur's gate 3 playthrough on CZcams
Awesome!
I can hardly keep up the rate Odd and Luckless are progressing and love it. This is like finding a new favorite show, then noticing there are already 7 seasons made, and they are still making it!
Rapiers are much better for damage than daggers, same with short swords for the vampire
Halfling trader at the Grove had 3 scrolls of revivify on him, you passed your mouse over it 3 times lol. It's the gold scroll looking ones.
Absolutely loving the series. Hope its here to stay !
For those who doesn't know. You can use a lower level spell, like healing word for example, and use it with a HIGHER level spell slot, which will amplify its effect, most likely with an extra healing die for example. Not all spell get this amplification but 90%+ of them do. But be sure to check before casting it.
Yep. The spells that you can cast at a higher level have a * on the UI element for it and they'll always offer to do that after you select it.
This series is awesome. Thanks guys for the constant laugh
Anyone else watching that start and hoping, praying one of the Tieflings goes "Say, you didn't run into Alfira did you? We haven't seen her in days. I think she said she was coming here..."
I felt hyped when he looked at the sleep spell, it's so good, I also used it on this boss.
Though in my case I used it with Gale, so I upcasted it to level 2 increasing the max hp you can use it on, which made it so I could use it a bit earlier in the fight.
I stumbled into that spider encounter really early, tried the fight and got wrecked first time, went back a second time and used Eldritch Blast on the big one while sneaking and managed to knock it off its web and it died in one shot haha. I was stoked!
Niiice play
Dude, it is "too far" because you can't see in the dark. You can only see a certain amount of feet. I assume it is out of your sight. That is why when you get close you can see it.
Hey, about your lost action: It was lost due to you attacking that spider web cocoon. Even if the game is not in turn based mode, it still counts every 6s intervall to refresh actions.
So if you lay an ambush and start of with an attack action for example, that action will still be lost in the first round of combat, since that action was done during the first "round" of combat.
Also about Healing: You dont heal in combat in DnD. You Heal out of combat. Think of it as a bit of realism. A cleric can patch you up with a quick heal spell, but he cannot put you back up to full. The Main Source of Healing is from resting.
This system puts a high emphasis on "Avoiding" damage, rather then healing it. (Aka, get protection from Poison, Mirror Image, Blur, Shields and Armor.) Healing is only reserved to pick up party members that are about to get killed or already unconcious.
I'm totally seeing that.
Speed boots and you don't have problem with healing 😂
@@VITAS874 jeah those are amazing, but you do need to find them, and you will miss out on other boots ... like the misty step boots :D
@@holokom3330 pf, this is not necessary, the main thing is to find a strong ring for intelligence (or charisma for a sorcerer), a cloak for saving throws, armor with a bunch of bonuses (it is important that there are no identical buffs for characteristics) and a helmet(or ring) with immunity. also do not be lazy to change armor and equipment (in advance) in some locations at the initial level(though in hight lvl is not necessary, only for quest and strong bosses).
@@VITAS874 I dunno, I really loved having Misty Step on Anybody :D
Great role playing, lads!
„It‘s called mega now“ LOL
Loving the series, it makes me wish my friends played this also as none of them understand my rage fueld excitement for killing that spider, Then reloaded and thunderwaved it just to see :)
Feel bad for luckless man, Chris says "we got more revivify, after 3 worthless death" lol
Alway a treat to see Chris die multiple times each episode. LOL
I laughed so much when Odd ran through his spike spell ended up dying at the end because of it. At least it wasn't exploding in animal form this time.
Press shift to reveal LOS
You can ctrl click sto select multiple item
or shift click to select the entire stack from first item you click to last item you want
Hope this help
there is a camp fire with a daggerstuck on a meat you can pick up from the goblin village next to the mill
It's wild to me to see what a different path odd took than I did. I killed all the druids immediately and then just sort of made friends with the goblins and snuck through their camp through the secret door and into the underdark then immediately killed all the dark dwarves for the myoconids. I've pretty much killed every person who's had the opportunity to cure my little parasite friend. I love that these are all options we can all take and just sort of play out the story however we want
I love how the Matriarch was like....Nope! I see you!
So i recoomebd doing both the underdark and mountian path for story and lore.
Astarion is now a snapshot sniper with "Memetic Skin" from XCOMEW. Or a ranger from XCOM 2. This Character is gonna be so powerful I think.
Odd’s kind of a dick to his co op partner. Super condescending sometimes. Never seen him like that before.
oh wauw, we got very lucky in our playthrough. We killed it before it even took an action and got an achievement.
We thought it would probably be a hard fight but this looks insanely hard.
I love how fights just spiral out sometimes in this game :p
Being a warlock with repelling blast made the phase matriarch fight a breeze. Seriously the edderlings & phase spiders leading up to her were harder. Having fun watching Odd say things like it’s only 4 health you don’t need to use alchemist fire & then attacking for less than 4.
That was a great moment haha
Loot from vendors rerolls every time a character levels up. You can save your leveling for when you find a merchant in order to potentially get better offers. Don't like the vendor's wares? Level up a character, still not satisfied? Level another character.... repeat as needed
Good to know. Thanks!
I hated this fight. Got wiped so many times dispite trying to be clever and have Asterion with spider boots try to sneak up. Only to find out mama spider alerts everything the cave got to offer when you attack her.
On the 4th or 5th attempt I figured something out: get mama on her spidy bridgey, use magic trick on said bridge and let gravity doing the work. Rinse and repeat whilse killing all the minions. And Spoiler:
..
..
....
......
......
.......
In the end not only a book can be read but also the abyss can be hugged. Given you know how to take a leap of faith wiht preparation.
The destination is VERY unfriendly but its worth a try. If you a invisible minion as a spy.
You missed 75 % of the (side)quests so far, but it is really enjoyable.
Have fun. Some quests would be great to see, how your solution would be.
And the xp will be needed, if you play on tactician. Even for an x-com (half)god. :-D
And you missed the scrolls at the trader. They have no exeptional color. :D
Odd has this weird sense of "must move forward no matter what." I'm worried he's more concerned about how the videos will turn out, as opposed to just playing the game 😕
This was hilarious
Y'all did so good with the Grove and all its inhabitants
Except the bird
Rejected by Astarion. 🤣 You should show how every companion feel about you. Like the bar on their character sheet. I am interested in seeing it.
Oh yeah I meant to bring that up today when recording but forgot. Thanks for reminding me.
Hard rejection there Odd…
Oh, wall world DLC released, maybe nice to revisit after this and in case you need a timefiller…
If an ally is dying but not dead, you can just touch them and heal 1 hp. No need to burn a scroll of revive.
Oh thank God you figured it out lol
@@WilliamALaytonthis is the one haha
As soon as I finish watching one video, there's another one!
Yall should have talked to the dead goblin child inf the whispering depths. It might have been Two from the goblin camp. 😮
If you don't try everything you can to get Asterion a sneak attack before you do anything else(obviously sneak/hide first)you're not doing it right lol It's the best attack you have by quite a bit
The torch is the mightiest weapon it should never be sheathed. That's why it was equipped despite only being in the light slot
It's called Meta now xD
I was shouting to the heavens saying just use magic missile
OMG A potion is NOT a hand grenade!!!! If I throw a bottle of water at your head, do you drink it when it hits you? LOL
It is in this. You can throw a potion at someone's feet and it will heal them.
You got roasted lol.
I love how Odd is constantly missing dialogue explaining something, then he asks seconds later about the thing that was just explained. Yes... "love" it...
Wyll with the upgraded blast that pushes enemy back... I literally one-shotted her. I didn't get the loot, but I one-shotted her into the bottomless pit.
Odd could you show us what the bew beast that you unlocked 3 episodes ago looks like and what be it does.....please ?.
Days without incident: 0
So you know, any character can use an action to touch and try to restore 1HP to a downed character. They come back at a reduced level of ability, unable to take actions, but they can move and use bonus actions (say to take a potion).
This was so annoying but also funny. Anyone can literally just pick her up to stop the bleedout and luckless is like "can I enraged throw a potion at her?" whilst next to her lmao
@@Sellinglobs They did figure it out though, hehe. I thought about editing or deleting my comment, but...eh. If they can make mistakes in public, so can I. :)
@maxsalmon4980 yeah it was killing me lmao - but it's all in good fun
1:03:45 you have moon ray you could use it.
Couldn't the Dark Urge in bear form have jumped down onto the spider queen?
no odd don't give up astarion will come arround eventually! who wouldn't want a piece of dark urge's..... urges
i need a 3 hour content i want more this is fun
Love you guys, love this series - fights are way more entertaining than conversations! Moar pleeease!
Man i want u both to do a DnD playthrough tooo!!!!
cleave is very important skill. if you can, take great cleave, skill.
That a feat? Also are you sure it's in Baldur's Gate 3? I did a search and I'm not sure it is.
@@LucklessLovelocks it's from nwn game sorry. I thought they not remove it, but looks like they are delete probably for balance. otherwise your barbarian would be Unstoppable force, killing with 1 or 2 hits and have apportunity to hit first ( i forget how it's calling when you have opportunity strike first after killing)
@@VITAS874 always a good idea to check to see if your knowledge applies to this game. This isn't the first time you've suggested something that doesn't apply. It causes confusion.
you already uploaded a part 38 today.. and i'm still here on 16. 😭
Get going!
Woooow harsh burn from Astarion. My character was hit on by both Astarion and Lae’zal but I had already set up a date with Shadowheart so I turned them down. Y’all haven’t really worked on getting approval from any of your companions, so no romance options at the victory party.
Absolutely rekt. "standards". Like maybe. Not getting into issues with barrels and torches
Watching him waste so many 2nd level work shoes Ability Enhancement hurts my soul.
Hopefully y’all respec Shadowheart and get her out of the default subclass. It’s the worst subclass for cleric.
My genuine desire to contribute insights into the nuanced mechanics and functionalities of D&D remains unwavering. However, considering that I'm currently catching up on a "Let's play series" on CZcams, and the channel's real-time progress has reached around video 42 while I'm only at video 16, it's likely my comments won't carry immediate impact. Nonetheless, I can't help but express my astonishment at how certain aspects can lead to frustration-not due to any lack of player skill, in which you excel, but rather owing to the complexity of comprehending class dynamics and mechanics.
Indubitably.
just an FYI you could have turned into a spider and just moved past them.
Respec Shadowheart into a Life Cleric for better heals.
Someone mentioned in another comment that healing isn't something you really do in combat (aside from potions). It's more something you do in between combat and I can kind of see what they mean so I don't think that's necessary.
@@LucklessLovelocks LOL! Healing in combat is what healing is for, especially Healing Word. You short rest between combats and use spells in it. Believe me, there are battles where you need to top off the ol' HP tank mid-fight.
@@PrimarchX oh for sure that's what those spells are for but it doesn't seem very effective aside from raising someone TBH. That's what I'm feeling. The healing out of combat spells seem much better..I think it's better to use damage/buff/debuff/control spells in combat. We'll see though it's still early days.
@@LucklessLovelocks I prefer offensive, too. But when you need healing in battle then get the most you can get for the action being used.
@@PrimarchX yep but also you're using a spell slot and not just the action so you have to consider a lot of things.
The worst she can say is no she : Its not you its me i have standards .
Love y’all been but when did he change the at ease clothes?? The blue suit to blow up combo was the best
guys you look like a grumpy father and a hyperactive kid playing 😂😂
I'm NOT gonna say who's who though.
Luckless you are ....... loL
Watching you plan XCOM is a pleasure. Watching you play a game you know nothing about is ... painful.
Best thing to do is provide constructive feedback like you did above This game is sooooo different from XCOM we both have to learn. Saying something is painful doesn't really help and if anything is going to alienate the creator and they may just stop listening to your feedback.
Well they have progress 😊
I have standards!
its honestly painful watching you stab with astarion when you can use the bow which does more damage
So THAT is how you pronounce “justiciars”… 🤔
Ditch your rogue he’s not being used right anyway.
They missed soooo mutch until now... but i think thats the Game...
now that the discount vamps urgent thirst is quenched, it suddenly grew some standards 🤬 shoulda staked it in the heart when it was weak
slow down next time ur looking thru a vendors goods, u passed up THREE revivify scrolls
I dont like how bossy you are towards luckless. Would be nice if he could play exactly how he wants
I hate to tell them, but this game just gets harder and harder from here
It is ok. The game gives you the tools, you need to win. Even on tactician.
Depending on your class lvl 5 is a nice power spike. Extra attack is a game changer for my party.
@@thorinhannahs4614 yep getting lvl 5 for my warlock massively increased my damage
You don't have to be hidden to use sneak attacks you just need to have two chars in melee range.
Don't worry. We never die.
47:50 miskliq?
man, this was painful to watch.
really random question; after the Vamp-elf disregarded you, did you have the option to rip his meek spine out?( to my broken mind, this should be an option)?
I have zero idea why you've created a 'party' this way, but that is why I watch this...I would never have Asertion in my group.
I'd take Shadowheart, and that very cranky Gith'razei, the rest seem to firkin 'sus'
Odd skins to fast lol. Missed three scrolls of revive. Slow down a little you way behind the other CZcamsrs now anyway.
Maybe try checking if anyone's looking at your character before you hide? Seems pretty fucking obvious to me.
@lucklesslovelocks @christopherodd if you store crates in Asterions inventory, he can place them in a stack before a fight, jump on top and always has high ground and usually hits his hide check so can sneak attack even in the open.
