- Fossil Creek is one of the best swimming hole recreation areas in Arizona. The beautiful clear blue water, cliff jumping spots and travertine caves make this area an amazing place to explore. Despite getting crowded during peak season, there are several un-named swimming holes along the creek to allow you to find your own private spot to swim. The most popular spots on Fossil Creek include: Irving Flume, Fossil Creek Waterfall, The Old Fossil Creek Dam and The Toilet Bowl. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND doing the TOILET BOWL. Permits are required for day use between April 1st - October 1st. Keep this place clean and take out all your garbage with you.

Where do you get the permit from? Do you just drive up and pay or get the permit online
Is there any escape when you fall into the toilet bowl? Are There underground tunnels?

What parking lot/trail do you do to get to where you are @ 2:30?
How long is the hike and is there more than one trail? I've heard theres a 2 mile trail and an 8 mile.
How difficult was the trail to get to the waterfall with the cave and slide

Check the National Forest website for the permit information and the length of the hike was a few miles and pretty flat.

We have are fossil creek in California Rainbow 🌈 pool off hwy 120 Yosemite hwy water falls jumping off 20 feet cool water lots of fun easy access no hiking needed just get there early I'm 2 hours away

Did you do both trails the same day? It appears that the Waterfall Trail and the Spring Trail are separated by a closed section of road.

Every parking spot is at a spot on the creek. You have to hike to get to the biggest waterfalls though.

Cause the exit is small and hard to see even with goggles. I bumped and scraped me head on it and a week after I was there a guy died in it
