I clean my engine bay aswell on my 2008, CLK but im sometimes a little bit concerned about powerhosing it down ?? Is there no issues with getting too much water on electrics ??

I've never had an issue mate done this for years. Couple of points:
Lot easier on modern (he says having never owned a car newer than 2006) engines as obviously engine cover covers most actual vital components
Make sure pressure washer isn't spitting out 300k PSI and use a sensible tip (mine has a pretty wide angle)
Don't drive water into anywhere by holding the lance on any one point for too long
And you should be fine matey!
