  • Hi all, in this video I'm revealing the new car for the channel and tackling a few minor jobs straight off the bat. Apologies this video jumps around a bit, I was battling weather and time commitments on this one! Hope you can show some love for the new car and stay tuned for upcoming fixes, modifications etc, thanks!

So the CLK has gone ??
My CLK has also gone and replaced with a BMW F22.

Yes sadly, as much as I loved it, it was giving me headaches to the tune of a few hundred quid every single month. Spent more time fixing it than driving it, would have another example (probably petrol) in a heartbeat. I remember you saying you had the CLK and F22 at the same time I think, what made you decide to get rid of CLK?

I would have kept the CLK as there were no issues, but the F22 wasn't selling. F22 was a cat s that I bought and repaired, but after some weeks of not selling I then put the clk on aswell , see what one went first !!

FYI, these direct injection, no port injection , Lexus IS250 vehicles have issues with severe carbon buildup on the exhaust valves. The Lexus IS350 would have been a better buy as they have both port injection and GDI, hence cleaner valves.

Yes I have heard this but thanks for letting me know 🙂 I agree IS350 would be better (and not slow like this) however, sadly, in the UK we didn't get any IS350's! Import ones float around but they're around 14k, so only a few grand off an ISF!

I'm gonna watch out for symptoms of carbon buildup also

@@Enginesetc@Enginesetc Having an IS250 with 225,000kms, it actually isn't that bad so long as quality fuel and oil was used during its life. I cleaned the values, and while it wasn't the easiest thing (The values are in the middle of the engine) opposed to a I4 or I6, there wasn't anything alarming considering the kilometres.

@@georgekallely7103 I hope it was before me, it seems to have been taken care of and I'm servicing it soon with good quality parts as I always try to! Thanks for the info on your higher mileage example, this is on 120,000 miles so i'm hoping all is good. No symptoms of buildup yet so I will keep on top of it :)
