- In this video I find another gorgeous free place to go car camping, cook a dinner using my freeze dried food and then get chased out by the rain...again!
I've found the best kind of food for car camping is freeze dried food. No refrigeration required! It's lightweight, easy to prepare and gives you tons of preparation options, from gourmet to basic. I use Thrive Life Freeze Dried Food - link below. I love it! It's tasty and there is such variety!

My 2nd channel - LITTLE CABIN IN THE YUKON

Your food looks pretty good. Nice and healthy and easy to have on a camping trip. I have yet to get ghee and cook with it. I know I could make my own, but it would be easier to buy some lol. That lake is beautiful! I didn't realize A&W was a thing in Canada. We don't seem to find them much in the US anymore. Yeah it's hard to not just listen to people who seem to need the company. Even if you are busy working or need to get going etc. It is a pretty park. Fur baby seems to like it too 😆

We wondered if A&W was just a Canadian chain because we just weren’t seeing any in the US, but spotted a couple this last trip south. You have so many fast food chains we don’t though.

@@WanderingWiley Hello Wiley! The rain was a pain, and brought a few challenges on this trip. This was into October, so chillier too than if it had been summer rain. We’ve enjoyed a wet spring here too, and then suddenly we’re in a heat wave! I’ll have to wait for it to cool off a bit so I can get out car camping this summer. Take care and thanks for watching!
In 2004 I adopted a little chi-pup, from Turtle Gardens dog rescue in Topley, then in 2012 a little vagabond picked up as a stray by the same rescue, he's still with me, my little chi Molly has been gone for a couple years now . The rescue is gone now, but I will always remember Yvette, the dogs were truly her heart.
I remember Turtle Gardens Rescue! They would come to the Fall Fair in Smithers with the animals up for adoption. Such nice people❤️It’s always nice to hear about animals enjoying happy lives after being rescued. Thank you for bringing back a memory!😁

Growing up, my parents used to take us into Algonquin Park canoe tripping every summer. Always took in freezed dried beef for a couple of nights dinner, much like what you were doing. Inevitably a red squirrel would get into our hanging food pack and go straight for the chipped beef as my father used to call it. Always frustrating my father but made for entertainment. 😅
