      - He cheated on his wife when she found out she had cancer;
      - He let the lover be part of the family. It's like, "Honey, you're dying anyways, so I've already replaced you." This is extremely humiliating.

      Right! I think they both thought highly of how they started their relationship because it wasn't like "normal" affairs. In their minds sliding someone in as "mom" was the "kind" thing to do when the truth is they should have never brought her around the sick mom. It really speaks a lot about the dad and how pathetic he is. He can't stand to be alone, raise his kids alone, and will lie and trap someone in the relationship knowing they eventually want kids when he literally can't. I almost feel bad for the mistress but this will always be her "karma" for getting with a married man while his wife was dying.

      @@Nekulturny - No, you dont reschedule the exam. Reason, some exams are multi-school exams and therefore cant be rescheduled. It's the ceremony that shouldnt have been organized during exam time like it was. And before you say that such exams dont take place, they did and may even do so now. Such exams happen when you have schools that have subjects that arent at another school. What happens then is students travel between schools to take the subject that isnt being taught at their school. One example is here in Adelaide Australia where I live you had Brighton, Marion, and Daws Road high schools who did that. Brighton high was known for it's music and any students in year 11 and 12 who wanted to do music at that level would have to travel to that school to do such. Many students also travelled from those schools to Marion to do subjects there, specially where languages were concerned since not all schools offered senior classes in such.
      So yeah, dont blame the exam, blame the school organizers for doing what they did knowing that the studen who was receiving the award wasnt going to be there.

      Sure, but the only real action OP needs to take for the long coin to work is not spill the beans. That seems like an amount of effort that can be easily maintained for decades especially if the father had a vested interest in that.

    Story 2... I feel sad for OP because she had to go through watching her mother suffer an excruciating death due to cancer. From the sounds of things, cancer runs in her family, so she better keep on top of this. I always recommend that people who have cancer running in their families to do a genetics test to see if they carry the genes that can cause cancer, but if not to always go to their doctors for regular cancer testing.
    That said, I also feel a little bad for the affair partner. I know she did something wrong by carrying on an affair while OP's mother was quite literally suffering and dying of this horrible disease- but nobody deserves to have their spouse lie to them about fertility. However, if she wanted children so badly... you don't need to have biological children to feel complete. There's a lot of children that need parents and are waiting to be fostered and/or adopted.
    Honestly, OP's father sounds like a horrible person just for what he did to OP's mum. That poor woman knew she was dying and had to keep up appearances because she knew her husband had stepped out on her and had started an affair with the very woman who was playing nice.

  • @sallywinston5305
    @sallywinston5305 Před měsícem +10

    For the second story, I believe OP will see her mom. Why? Cause of several reasons:
    1. Her plan was entirely dependent on the father not being a selfish moron and keeping the truth of his vasectomy from his AP and also dependent on the couple not finding another solution to have kids.
    2. OP just repaid the same energy that the coworker did to her mom (seriously, the audacity of that woman). She, just like the coworker, played nice until the very end.
    The only difference is that OP revealed the truth while coworker didn't reveal anything to the mom or the daughter (thankfully she didn't realize that they actually knew and so this glorious revenge was able to take place). I feel like there was a kindness that OP gave that she didn't herself receive.
    3. There really cannot be any sympathy for a cheater like her. Cheaters are awful but this one took the audacity crown and cake home. She not only was in her space, being friendly to her and her child while she was sleeping with her husband but while she was also DYING and her child was GRIEVING.
    Do you know how disgusting of a human being you have to be to do that? To act sympathetic towards a dying person and their child while stabbing BOTH of them (has to be both cause OP did not deserve having her father's AP around her while she was hoping for her mom to get better and didn't in the end) in the back?
    The husband is automatically disgusting for cheating and allowing that to happen too. Both of them deserve each other.

    I kind of hope it slips that the op of the second story’s dad & the coworker’s relationship started as an affair & the dad realizes what OP implied about hiding secrets & that she knew. Yeah I feel bad that the coworker wasted her childbearing years on someone not interested in having more kids & that OP hid it from her a little too long but I feel like the dad shouldn’t have been the only one in trouble for secrets.
    This was a homewrecker duo that made it look like a loving husband/father’s coworker friend was trying to help out when in reality she’s his side piece slipping her way into his family & making it seem like while caring for the wife was possibly secretly rubbing it in that he chose her.(She talked about how she planned to have kids with her fiancé to the mom who found out this woman is sleeping with her husband) This man went out & had an affair while the wife he cared about to the point of even getting vasectomy was dying of cancer & then let his side piece he later married join the family as if he was already moving on.(I mean he was but he was still there for his DYING WIFE that managed to find out about the affair some how meaning these people weren’t as sneaky as they thought while pretending to be innocent/caring)
    I feel bad coworker wasted her time when she wanted kids but she’s not innocent, she chose to be a homewrecker & the dad doesn’t deserve to be the only one to be shunned. I dunno how to feel about OP hiding it until the right time, it’s all tricky cause on one hand OP deserves to get that revenge.

    Honestly, the cheating coworker is a touch dumb for not insisting her husband get checked, and when he inevitably refused the truth could have come out without OP getting involved more than they already did by staying mum. Though, if the father was capable of keeping that secret and continually lying to his wife, then I guess he'd also be capable of manipulating her into thinking he wasn't the problem with their "fertility" issues. Despite the cheating I do feel a little sorry for the woman, because at the end of the day OP's father was the most cruel of all. Emotionally and physically cheating on his wife the second she was diagnosed, then continually lying and betraying his second wife. People in general need to stop marrying the people they cheat with: you KNOW you're marrying someone with compromised morals and views on fidelity, their track record is bad and you know it, it should be no surprise that they are capable of betraying you in other ways even if they don't cheat on you in the end. But still...I kind of want to excuse her for being young and dumb at the start, but how can you offer that kind of support to a woman dying in hospice all the while planning on taking her place? Hate to say this, but the coworker, in my opinion, honestly deserves that outcome...
    She practically barged into OP's life as another mother figure while her mother was still alive. She didn't have to, but by doing that, the initial trust OP had for her started to dwindle and just got worse as time went by.
    OP could have told her about the vasectomy, but the trust at that point was probably too low. Pretty sure she just wanted the coworker to feel the same pain she was feeling. Betrayal is an awful thing.
    It also wasn't her job to spill it either. That responsibility lies entirely on her father's shoulders. So essentially it's his fault for not disclosing that information, not OPs. He's the true monster in this story.
