      As a former socially awkward, lonely teenager who dealt with many people like this growing up and know plenty of them in adulthood. Its largely a myth that kids grow out of this behavior. No, nice kids tend to become nice adults and mean kids become mean adults. So it doesn't surprise me.

    Second Story: To the ones who think what OP did was a bitch thing to do: they clearly never experienced bullying and what it actually does to a person. OP's revenge for Arthur was perfect because Thomas deserve it, especially for his lack of remorse for what he, Bart, and Alex did. Good thing OP got rid of this walking red flag sooner than later

    I read a seemingly altered version of the story with Tomas a short while ago.
    Some things are out of place.
    Some new info is added.
    While some is removed.
    No clue which one was the original now.
    But the other one, Arthur ended his own life rather then moving schools.
    I hope this is the real one

    Here's the thing. Kids can be cruel, especially to those that are different. If you did something as a kid that was cruel but feel remorse later in life over it, that's growth. Sure it still sucks you did something like that but if you feel sorry for it then that's a first step. Still being proud of it, still BRAGGING about it, and even saying things like "I wish we were more evil to get pictures" of a very private thing is disgusting. What OP did is just a small drop on what some people would do. I personally would try to track down the victim and make sure he's okay. If something unfortunate happened to him then that would steel my resolve to drop every person in on or part of that sick and cruel 'joke'. It can't even be called a joke! That was a massive bullying effort on several people in that school! It's sickening.

    I don't know if I believe the first story, surely if a builder makes a house that is completely not up to code that's an open and shut case, right? Like the lawyer wouldn't need to find some obscure loophole in the contract to sue them, the builder is already doing something that is explicitly illegal. Right?

  • @mizu7662
    @mizu7662 Před 8 měsíci +1

    Story 2: Yeah, it would be one thing if Thomas indicated he regretted his actions and wished he hadn't been such an asshole as a kid. Instead his only regret was that he hadn't been even worse and bemoaned the fact he hadn't been able to manipulate the poor guy into sending naked pics so it would be even more humiliating. This makes it total fair game to punish him since he clearly hasn't changed a bit.

    Story 1 - How in the world did that house pass any inspection? I'm sure they existed in the 70s. That said, Tom is a boss!
    Story 2 - OTOH, this Thomas was a monster. Obviously he and his cronies peaked in high school, and they were still overly proud of what he did.
    Story 3 - What's that saying? Be nice to people while you're going up, because you'll meet them on the way down. In this case, OP just helped push them along the way down.

    The people who said "But Thomas was a teenager at the time and it was long ago!" are just as toxic and pretty damn stupid. They failed to realize that Thomas was still PROUD of what he did to Arthur, even as an adult. That is disgusting. Only people that seemed to have sense was OP, Thomas's father (who realized that he raised a garbage human) and the people who took OP's side when she left him. I feel bad for OP (cause if that didn't happen, she would have continued loving a complete POS without knowing his actions), Thomas's father, and Arthur who was the victim in all of that and I hope whereever he is that he's living his best life.

    I am sorry but what ? Even if an architect “forgets” a line on the blueprint the blueprint still have to be submitted to the county to be approved and in the county you have architect who’s entire job is to make sure that all blueprints are in order . At least in normal countries . I am so baffled as to how this could happen . I mean it’s one thing for construction workers to mess up but architects ?

To Draw a line, so thick it is misinterpreted as a wall, through the bathtub is insane. I’ve seen some funky buildings and some not cared about plans, but this house sounds like a waking nightmare…
