Story 2: So not only is this guy constantly parking in ways that would gets him tickets, but he mocked someone who WAS allowed to park in disabled. What is wrong with this man?
First story: by cutting down the trees, that can destabilize the soil on that hilly property causing landslides. Major danger to the properties below the hill. That increases the liability caused by having the trees cut down.
@@maris7457 32k is they got caught. remember its an area inaccessible by road and is probably not easily seen from the victim's home. the idiot might have weighed the risk and figured that he'd never get caught. or he might not have even been aware of the cost of the fines in the first place, if he thought that he'd even get fined.

Slightly different over here. We just have one badge/placard (that is able to be used Europe wide). You can get one even if it is temporary, say you have cancer. You need to renew them every three years or when you entitlement runs out. It is usually linked to a health benefit you receive. You can get just the badge, but if you also qualify through illness, like my mother since the mid 90s and wife since the early 2010s, you can help financial help towards living and mobility. If you get mobility you can then get a new car every three years from a charity called Motability. It is a fantastic scheme that isn’t government funded directly, but your benefits pay for the car or wheelchair accessible car. No maintenance cost, no road tax, no insurance or breakdown cover. All you pay for is the fuel, windscreen wash, wiper blades and diesel additive if you require it. You are limited to 60,000 miles over a three year term and can even apply to take it to Europe for 90 days for holidays.

Iirc the fun thing about tree law is that these laws are ancient (relatively speaking) and we’re taken very seriously at the time, so their punishments are absurd 😂
It does seem to show that people in the past valued nature more than we do today, if they thought the laws were fair and we see them as absurd. Very interesting!
Trees don't have to be approached from an environmental angle for these laws to make sense. Especially approached from an economic or financial angle, they're hardly stupid or outdated. Trees can take anywhere from 10 to 50 years to get to a mature size depending on species, maybe even more; it goes without saying that more valuable trees generally take longer to mature. We know that hardwoods like oak, cherry, etc. Are worth a lot for their lumber. Pine isn't as valuable but you still pay a decent price for it. On a person's land, large trees can represent potential monetary amounts because they could be cut for their timber. Property-wise, trees may provide shade, decorative value, and erosion control, since their roots and leaf litter keep soil from washing away in rain. Correcting erosion is often a prolonged process and can be expensive. Stump removal is expensive on its own even without the potential erosion issues that can follow. We also add the simple fact that if you're older, you may not realistically live long enough to see a replacement tree reach full size. Tree law could be seen less as something related to the environment, and more as something meant to punish a thief. In most cases where I have seen it happen, a person timbers property they don't legally own to sell the wood, or they cut a driveway through the middle of someone else's property without legal permission. In this video, it's someone trying to increase their own property value because cutting the trees gave them a view of the city. Overall, treat the people who violated these laws as thieves. Because really that's what happened here.

Another parent spoke up and her response was to repeatedly ram his car with her SUV and then try to hit and run our Assistant principal when she went out to intervene... The result was a police chase, a restraining order and her being banned from the property. Fun times!
Tree law is no joke. they got teeth. Back in my hometown a guy did the same thing. Cut down a few trees on his property and a whole ton on Crown land (Government land) just to get a better view of the lake. After the city sent in the inspectors to asses the damage the total fine was north of $4Million. Guy had to sell his house, truck, boat, art work, wine collection and pretty much everything to pay it off. When the guy moved out the whole street was lined with neighbors clapping/cheering as he drove off in the Uhaul truck with the few things he didnt have to sell.
There is an ancient saying that has several variations: You don't plant a tree for yourself. You plant a tree for the generations yet to come. I occasionally do some woodworking. Old growth wood is amazingly expensive. I don't have a huge amount of wood stored, but if I were to estimate, I'd say that I have abut $20,000 worth of wood that is ready to be made from it's initial beauty into something that is equally beautiful. (Most of it is stored in the unlocked garden shed, because honestly, a thief won't take it because they don't really know how much it is worth and...wait for it...don't know how to fence it.)
I now understand lessons in English class on not repeating words because I completely checked out of story 3 with how many times I heard "scum bag' and had to skip it. Wow that was annoying
OP sees an old lady being mistreated , works there but is so spineless he doesn't even call the police? He takes years to do something and he was only able to do something because it was digital and the person wouldn't find out. HE wants a paycheck but doesn't care for the well-being of customers so he shouldn't really work in retail.
Retail dont get payed for civil disputes, they told the manager and usually in retail work you csnt call police without management permission because that's how my work is. We arent even allowed to touch or follow theives outside of stores.
@@EphemeralFairyQueen I understand what you're saying and it makes sense that you don't put yourself at risk but in this specific case I think it would be easy to solve. Tree law is nasty man @ 1:43. I want you to know that a man asked the forest office to clean the forest around his house from any dry plants and trim the pine trees to prevent a forest fire to burn down his house. Guess what was denied and how things ended. Yeah, tree law is nasty.
There's an even crazier tree law story that I'm sure rslash has covered before but i can't quite remember what its about, just that its a pretty similar story of someone cutting down trees for a shitty reason and getting slapped with massive fines cause nobody knew about tree law but the ones who own the tree found out about it and got revenge
Man, I wish we had the ability to write people tickets for parking in disabled spots here in the U.S. Being a person with a visble disability, it's my biggest pet peeve
i absolutely CANNOT stand people who park in disabled parking spaces when they are not allowed to. like how disrespectful can you be - and all stemming from laziness and entitlement. absolutely disgusting
Tree story: If you're going to break the law, you'd better know the law AND the penalty for breaking it before you break it. Garden story: Interesting law if true.
Story 1: It's real. And they ARE mega rich. It's like a $20 fine to him. If you look up the houses, they're not houses. They're manors. Massive mansions, and acres and acres of land.
Parking in disabled parking when you don't need it ticks me off. I'm physically disabled, and people like me didn't ask for it. It's easier for us to be able to park up close to buildings like grocery stores. We tend to get tired fast no matter what our disability is, and parking up close means less tiredness going across parking lots and less of a chance at getting backed up over by another car. Yes this sounds dumb but for those in wheelchairs, it can be hard to see us, especially with large vehicles that don't have back up cameras or alarms.
I'm a Cabinet/Furniture Maker by trade, so the first story isn't too surprising. I know arborists usually don't work with carefully maintained forests for furniture lumber, but with the amount of requirements we have for the lumber we use, it honestly doesn't surprise me that cutting down an arborists trees is a very, _very_ bad idea. Wood isn't just wood. Edit: The last story reminded me of my dads revenge, which also happen to be related to wood. He had a neighbor who chopped down several of his over 100 year old trees, because "they were in the way and on my property" according to the neighbor. So my father, who had already had similar problems with his other neighbors, called out someone to measure up the property lines and although he lost a bit of land, it was nothing compared to what he already have. He then mailed the news to the neighbors around him and forced the guy who felled his trees, to pay up, which almost paid for the people he hired to measure up the property lines. To this day his neighbors can't do anything to the small collection of trees that surround my dads garden and house, because they risk getting slapped with a hefty fine if they do so. Moral of all 3 stories? Stay within your own property.
the story you labeled 8 million reminds me of Team Fortress 2 because of the two owners not being able to get along with each other like Blutarch Mann and Redmond Mann.
its really funny they thought the value would go up with less trees its actually a perk and gives value air quality is important and having a ton of trees around with give you better air than with out
Can relate to retail OP with having to put up with shit from customers and management. However, OP was fortunate to gain a power to get back at the Mercedes arsehat.
I love tree law stories; the fines are enforceable in most states if this takes place in the US, not sure about other countries; the guy threatening to shoot the dog is a jerk that needs some anger management courses besides having to pay up, I honestly would have pushed for the destruction of the garden given he threatened violence against a good dog
Thought the same - 32 trees, view on the New York Skyline - it had to be this story - and thats good because you can get almost all the money by selling his land an house (if he doesn't have it). And depending on what he told the workers they will go after him too.

Mega Tree Law Karma! Hope the AH enjoyed that new view.😂
"You better hope nothing happens to my dog boomer or I'm going to assume it was you and nobody visits you so it'll be a while before they find your body."
YESSSSS! The return of tree law!!!! I did miss r/slash’s characteristic “uh oh” as soon as he saw it was about trees tho!! 🤣🤣
Yessss! It's been way too long since there was a Tree Law story!
I love a good Tree Law story, it just fills me with joy and satisfaction
I hope that everyone is having a good Thursday!
You too!
And you as well 😊
You too
One of our preschool students had an older sister who parked in the handicap spot without a badge to pick him up.
(Most of it is stored in the unlocked garden shed, because honestly, a thief won't take it because they don't really know how much it is worth and...wait for it...don't know how to fence it.)
hearing those sweet words of tree law makes me so happy :D
The last one could backfire, the neighbour is now a tenant on his property.
Last story's great except I'm concerned the neighbor might kill the dog out of spite one day.
I now understand lessons in English class on not repeating words because I completely checked out of story 3 with how many times I heard "scum bag' and had to skip it. Wow that was annoying
Tree law tree law!
Tree law quickly snowballs from a small fine of a few hundred dollars to "lol you ruined your life" in seconds.
Not even 5 seconds into the video, we all start the chant: TREE LAW! TREE LAW! TREE LAW!
Rslash... "cut down tree"
Me: "expensive"
Me hearing the first story: Yes! I love Tree Law stories
When a video starts with tree law, you KNOW it's gonna be good!
The parking lot is owned by the store and the person is illegally parked so the car should be towed. Unfortunately I know it's not always that simple but the op from this story was just sad
I just wish all retail stores had parking lot tow trucks. If you park illegally you get towed immediately no questions asked
I have never heard of a shotgun clause, but I'm glad the nice and poor man was able to uno reverse and become a nice and rich man.
Worked as an arborist for 10 ish years and yea the laws are crazy. Some of the story's that I have been told and thing I have seen are nuts
Got any tales you can share?
Last Story: As a lover of all fuzzy creatures that story made me smile.
Tree law is nasty man @ 1:43. I want you to know that a man asked the forest office to clean the forest around his house from any dry plants and trim the pine trees to prevent a forest fire to burn down his house. Guess what was denied and how things ended. Yeah, tree law is nasty.
New Rslash motto; don't mess with the I-tree guy 😂
Heard your opening and I can’t help but think to myself, “Who’s gonna mortgage their house now?”
Tree law is back with a vengeance. How I love those stories.
Tree law strikes again! *Don't mess with the I Tree guy.*
i absolutely CANNOT stand people who park in disabled parking spaces when they are not allowed to. like how disrespectful can you be - and all stemming from laziness and entitlement. absolutely disgusting
I loved the story with the grumpy dog hater. Great outcome.
Tree law is nasty? What's nasty is that people still don't know how to mind their own business and don't understand the words - No Trespassing.
And has no concept of Private Property! 🤨
I live in NJ, and work in landscaping removing trees, trust me when I say "DO NOT PLAY WITH NJ TREES"
Love it when tree law is in the episodes
Parking in disabled parking when you don't need it ticks me off. I'm physically disabled, and people like me didn't ask for it. It's easier for us to be able to park up close to buildings like grocery stores. We tend to get tired fast no matter what our disability is, and parking up close means less tiredness going across parking lots and less of a chance at getting backed up over by another car. Yes this sounds dumb but for those in wheelchairs, it can be hard to see us, especially with large vehicles that don't have back up cameras or alarms.
The last story reminds me of an rSlash story about the 2 dogs named Bailey.
Let’s get the day started with r slash
The last story is a friendlier version of John Wick
Tim would be a good addition to the Thievius Raccoonus.
It's always a great morning with Rslash When he starts out with tree law.
What a perfect time to ignite some legal tree. 😚💨
Thank you for reading some tree law finally
I have missed TreeLaw. Ty rSlash 😊
Stay within your own property.
the parking lot story was genuinely funny
the story you labeled 8 million reminds me of Team Fortress 2 because of the two owners not being able to get along with each other like Blutarch Mann and Redmond Mann.
its really funny they thought the value would go up with less trees
its actually a perk and gives value air quality is important and having a ton of trees around with give you better air than with out
The guy in the first story pulled a palpatine gotta hire a dude that hires another guy to handle the job and screws over everyone.
Dudes finances got cut down like those trees ouch
I literally felt a hit of dopamine when I heard the word “tree.”
3:22 to be fair, some leg casts are, in fact, bazookas in disguise. Like thats not a euphemism, actual rocket launchers. So he almost had a point.
Can relate to retail OP with having to put up with shit from customers and management.
However, OP was fortunate to gain a power to get back at the Mercedes arsehat.
I got way too excited for tree law 😂
Plot twist: the lack of tim alone increased the company value by 4m
We need an entire tree law video
An orangutan can learn to drive, but that guy somehow struggled with it.
Last story. Op should send a monthly bill titled “being a butthole to my dog tax”
Imagine not doing anything to a customer bully for 7 years, very sad
Saw the first story on Tictok. The owner of the property posted when it first happened.
Thought the same - 32 trees, view on the New York Skyline - it had to be this story - and thats good because you can get almost all the money by selling his land an house (if he doesn't have it). And depending on what he told the workers they will go after him too.
Immediate reaction upon hearing the word "trees": Oh hell yea, here we go!
2:05 I volunteer in retail on the side of my job and I gotta tell ya, the amount of shop lifters we get makes me think humanity as a species is doomed. There are those between who are respectable customers but the rest are absolute scum.
He wasnt shaking. At all. He didnt refuse anything but rather asked for clarification as to what crime he committed and stated that the officer cant just ooen his door. What an awful cop. Clearly juat wanted to search the car.
it was only a matter of time until that tree story made it here and im gald.
Parking line story: F to OP losing his weapon of justice
