- Attempted Robbery Caught On Camera at my home. Trespassers on my property attempt to steal my truck and trailer setup. They failed but caused damage to my truck and trailer. Along with losing out on a day's worth of work and damages. This will end up costing us over $2,000. I hate a thief. And if I catch them back here. It won't be pretty, You might get lucky a lot. But I only need to be lucky once.

I kinda feel really bad
What makes me so mad is that after law enforcement. catches these criminals. weak judges give them probation. The criminals of course victimize someone else. after 3 or 4 arrests they finally get jail or prison time. Positions intervene and grant them parole. There is no consideration for the working man. Victims are arrested for protecting their property and family. I am so sick of this. no one is on the side of the working man.

If he is a true landscaper he knows to have some oh shit money set aside for equipment/truck/trailer work. If not then he is living a lie and needs to know/learn how to budget better. I’m not saying don’t give it to him if that’s what you want to do.

This is scary I had a friend that lost all his equipment and mowers he lived in a bad neighborhood and they stole the trailer with all the equipment

Very well said. While working in a neighborhood 2 years ago had someone cut all my locks and steal almost 2k in handheld equipment. To this day I still remember how mad and sick to my stomach I felt when I came out of that backyard and saw all my stuff gone. Can’t stand a thief man and it’s sad that we live in a world where these low life’s steal from the working man. Glad you and your family are safe.

Shawn I feel your pain, I got hit too. Sad to say if they are caught the courts will slap them on the wrist . Nothing is sacreaded . Motion detector lights would help.
Motion sensor lights sure help, unless they steal the light bulbs or the whole light itself which is what happened to my neighbor a few years ago

Sorry this happened to you guys. Glad you're all safe. We had an incident while we were on a fairly large property. I came around the building and caught someone trying to snatch one of my blowers. I walked up and said what's going on? I think it's best to put the blower down. At this point I'm nose to nose with him. He pushed me and threw a punch. Bad bad idea. I grabbed him by the throat and threw him down and held him there until the cops showed up. Cop laughed when I told him he was dumb enough to try to fight me. I am a big guy at 6'1 275, most of well majority is muscle, with tons of training in martial arts and boxing. Hope they catch these guys for you soon.

I feel your pain. 3 months ago I had a BR 800 stolen, damage rack, stolen piece of mind. And because of the camera in my truck, the police caught thieves. Now waiting on grand jury trail. Sorry this happened. It’s a very bad feeling. About 3 years, someone that supposed to be a family friend ( not any more) came to my house and stole and iPad, video games but most importantly a echo hedge trimmer that was only 6 months old and I was still paying it off. And I had 2 hedge trimming jobs that week.

Brother, I feel your pain. My shop has been broken into TWICE and nothing was ever recovered. I started keeping my hand equipment...weedeaters, edgers, blowers etc. in my house in the laundry room. I also put drive way alarms all the way around my shop. Even if an animal gets within 30ft of that building I know it.
Sit back and take a breath. It’s not good to make decisions when you are in this state of mind. Assess your situation when you calm down. You may have damage to your equipment. When you get your thoughts about you then decide how to help your neighbor. What a kind thing to do for someone.
Sorry that happened to you guys. The company I work for had someone that took over $10,000 worth of equipment over three days. We have cameras everywhere and they were caught on them. A few days before that, they cam3 in and took a pickup truck while the mechanic was there. It was later found cleaned out of the tools and tool box. The thing I can’t stand is a thief! Praying they catch them!

Keep your head up man, just last Thursday morning someone broke the back window to the work truck and stole a Milwaukee hedge trimmer, Milwaukee battery, my toolbox and a few other stuff, lost about $400 worth of equipment and cost me $100 to replace the window. Really sucks, you’ll rebound quick, sorry to hear about this.

Hate this for you. I know the pain, thieves busted in our back door in 2016 while we were gone, ended up stealing over $11,000 worth of stuf, some was irreplaceable heirlooms. While it makes you furious, the worst is how vulnerable you feel that someone could do that. Hope they catch them.

Times are different than they used to be. So sorry to hear this happened to you guys. Someone was scoping out our home once and it had my fiance terrified we wind up having to build a fence completely around the back side of our home. Hopefully they catch the people responsible. Also id say give the wright to your neighbor and still do the giveaway that would be two blessings you can offer to someone else. But ultimately yalls decision, so glad everyone is safe though. They have the same opportunity as we do to get up on a daily basis and bust their a** but instead they made a conscious decision to steal from a family that has worked tirelessly to get to where they are.
