Exploring Girona Old Town - Girona Cathedral, Old City Walls, Jewish Quarter || Spain Travel Vlog

- We instantly fell in love with the beauty and vibe of Girona and the beautiful people of Catalonia. Today we spend the day exploring Girona Old Quarter and all that it has to offer. We start our day with delicious coffee at Espresso Mafia, a coffee roasters and shop in the heart of Girona old town and close to our Airbnb. They brew such amazing coffee and we loved it so much that we had coffee there everyday whilst staying in Girona!
We then make our way through the beautiful cobble stone streets to begin walking the old city walls of Girona. We really love old city wall walks, ancient ruins and old castles but the Girona city walls quickly became our favourite ones that we have walked to date. We walked the old city walls all the way to the Girona Cathedral and down to sit amongst the cathedral gardens and old ruins. After wandering around the Girona Cathedral and taking a look inside at the dark, dimly-lit, gothic interior, we move on to meander through the Jewish Quarter. The Jewish Quarter is part of the Girona Old Quarter. It was home to the Jewish community between the 12th and 15th century and is one of the most well preserved Jewish Quarters across all of Europe.
We had such beautiful day enjoying the beautiful Catalonian city of Girona in the north of Spain. We really hope you enjoy our journey through Girona Old Quarter in our latest Spain travel vlog series.

We started Beyond Your Doorstep as a way of documenting our travel so that we could look back on it ourselves. We started off posting photos, and then blogging, and now we vlog basically everywhere we go. We know travel is hard, and it's expensive, so we try and keep it as real as possible. Jori works as an engineer and Malika works as a waitress (*it's weird talking in the 3rd person*) 😂We live in a little countryside town in England where we work 9-5 most of the year. We live in a tiny studio apartment and try to keep our costs down as much as possible. We travel whenever we can and edit our vlogs at night and on the weekends. It's a pretty huge workload but we love reliving our adventures as we edit and publish our travel vlogs. We may not be the quintessential digital nomad travel couple, but we love this adventure we're on!

Such a great watch and great narrative without being too overbearing in them which seems to be hard for a lot of Travel Channel sometimes LOL. You have a great sense of humor. We're big fans of travel as my wife is originally from Latvia and We Have Been to Spain but unfortunately only Barcelona but as our goal to get back. Love your back story about coming from Australia and taking advantage of the proximity of the UK to visit so many great countries. we were married in Iceland in a pagan ceremony in 2014 and I've traveled extensively through Europe as well as with her kids too so any channel like yours is always a welcome to pleasure. We went to Barcelona just before arriving in Girona, and we loved it. Barcelona was fantastic, even better than we thought, but Girona was a lovely break. It was a lot more relaxing than most other places we've been and it's worth checking out. If you guys are in Montreal then you'd only be about 2 hours drive away from Girona! We haven't been to Montreal yet, or done much of France (only been to Paris) but we REALLY want to do a road trip through France soon. We'd love to get to Latvia too! Thanks for stopping by!

@@BeyondYourDoorstep I also really enjoyed Barcelona my wife felt it was a little bit claustrophobic with the crowds on the street LOL but we really enjoy going off the beaten path that's always been the way we like to travel most and watching this video definitely give us some place we got to go to the next time we're over there so thank you so much for this

I enjoyed watching this. I'm a Brit but lucky enough to live near to Girona and visit when I can. It's a very special city, I don't like cities in general, but I love the old part of Girona.
