Chris could be reviewing a rock and I would watch the whole thing.
Here's Ian reviewing a rock czcams.com/video/olLjXYKfUYA/video.html
Truth lol
Chris! Get on it!
Stop giving them April fool idea
Lol! So True. I remember my first foray back into photography and found Chris' Camera Store video on the Nikon D-3500 (only one with variable/touch screen at the time). I remember thinking, "why isn't this guy doing something much bigger!". Both these guys are world class, and I've learned a ton from them. Hoping that DPReview won't kill their integrity.
I know Jordan loves his S1H but the footage coming out of that X-T4 is beautiful
Yes bro. Eterna profile is amazing. Plus that 10 bit
frrrrrr
Timestamp?
Yeah but also true that Chris is out of focus most of the time during the walking scene starting at 2:55
I noticed that too. It was much better than the XS 10 clip.
"For the four people who might be interested in that profile" 🤣
That cracked me up. Thank you for the thoughtful review!
I'm a gear nerd. Even if I don't plan on getting a camera, I like to watch video reviews of them anyway. And you guys do such a good job, that I always check out your reviews.
There is something so therapeutic about these reviews. great one as always 👍
I love how I heard about this thing a week ago and now it's almost out. More things should be like that.
oh Jordan I wish you'd film with the X-T4 more often :)
I agree its really beautiful
It does look great!
Man that lighting at the beginning because of the clouds at the beach looks like one huge softbox and the image quality is just amazing!
Your still demo images are stellar⭐️. Its a pleasure to see this DP review team at work.
Thanks! I really appreciate hearing that. It means a lot more than you know.
Love your reviews guys. Informative and great fun.
Thanks for the great review as always! Cameras are getting ridiculously fantastic! You can shoot a feature film on this!
You guys are a great review crew. Best in the business.
Also, just want to say I'm new to photography and your channel is the first one I've subscribed to. Absolutely love watching the videos! :)
Check out Mattias Burling :)
First Fuji I've been interested in buying! Thanks for the review guys.
The colors and the location are so gorgeous in this video!
Amazing color grading in this video :). And nice Review :)
love that shot over the lake at the beginning of Chris!! Xt4 shining there and Jordan doing his thing
Best fujifilm camera review so far. Beautiful scenery and beautiful camera.
Chris and Jordan, great review! I'm looking forward to the full production review. I'm thinking that this is the camera I may actually buy. I enjoy the Alberta scenery.
Footage from the X-T4 is looking stellar. Even more pleasing than the S1H possibly. With the way things are going for Fuji lately, I’m really looking forward to the eventual X-H2 release, that camera has the potential to be game changing because Fujifilm can pull all the stops and dump everything they have into it, they have no cinema line of cameras to protect like nearly every other major camera maker.
Why
@@NRGGustavo why not
5:00 is such a beautifully framed shot. Looks like it was filmed on a set.
probably the best review out there
Great review! I've just pre-ordered mine.
Finally the Fujifilm camera I have been looking for. Price and feature set right. And now saving my pennies. Excellent Chris and Jordan.
I feel the same Vincent. May be time to ditch canon and try something new.
As somebody who started with a Fuji XT-10 and moved up to and XT3, I think the film simulations are definitely part of the reason I’m delving further into film photography. Just picked up an old zenza Bronica S2 to start with Medium Format.
Long time Canon FF user, curious how does the XT3 do in indoor poorly light situation?
im looking to buy xt 200 and i checked image quality on dp review and it looks like xt 200 has the same image quality and noise reduction as xt4,30 you agree?with my tight budget its a win win situation
@SUAVE VISION TV im still using my one and only Canon sx10is 10 year old sooperzoom camera with swivel screen like on xt200 so upgrading to anything that doesnt have swivel is not for me.also having tight budget xt 200 looks super good especially when im upgrading from 1/2.3 sensor to mirrorless.Ohh and superzoom fan that i am i wanna buy cheap xc 50-230 lens and maybe some wideangle in the future
@Prashanth Panicker thanks for the recommendation. I often shoot in situations where I can't use a flash. I have two Canon crop sensor cameras and had horrible results. I've used a Sony FF, it was a beast. However, the cost is astronomical. I was curious about Fuji's.
@@averageguy1261 That Sony FF has cheaper lenses than Fuji, if you look at Sigma, Tamron, and Samyang. You don't go to Fuji for "affordable."
Really nice comprehensive review
As an old time Nikon guy (hobbyist), this camera really caught my eye ... small size and weight, IBIS, seemingly good ergonomics (ie. especially the grip), familiar control dials (for a DSLR user). If only it had 2 card slots, it would get on my very short list ... this one deserves nonetheless a closer look in person at the camera store.
I was looking to upgrade to mirrorless from my Nikon D3200 and I compared Nikon's Z 50 and their newly released Z fc with the Fujifilm X-S10 and I have decided to make the move over to Fujifilm to their X-S10.
I've lost some of the fun of photography in recent years. This is largely due to my Nikon D5100, whose AF has often ruined my photos. I only have 2.8 zoom lenses (Tokina 11-16, Sigma 17-50 and Sigma 50-150) and shooting sharp photos with the Sigma 50-150 open is almost impossible. I've already had my camera and lens adjusted by Sigma, but it didn't help much.
Sony has the best AF system, but I don't like the body and handling at all. The Fuji with its beautiful body and the deep grip, the built-in stabilizer and the great range of lenses totally appeals to me. The video features are not so important to me. Video post-processing takes even more time, which I rarely have. For this reason, the X-S10 rather than the X-S20 comes into question for me.
This camera in combination with the f2.8 lenses Sigma 11-18, Sigma 18-50 and Fuji 50-140 is my dream combination.
Awesome video. I’ve had my eyes on this camera for a few days now. Glad I found your video, very complete and honest review. Looking at this as a first camera purchase, time to stop using my phone to make CZcams vids 🤣
Great video as always!
Excellent review! thank you!
mad intro xDD love it!! - great review as usual
Wow, Fuji has nailed it. I think this camera might not just target DSLR users, it might also win over many Panasonic and Olympus users (like me) looking for a bigger sensor, who have been spoiled with fully articulating screens and great ibis. Really, I want one.
Which Olympus you have?
I just switched for that very reason, was happy with my G85 but didn't want anything bigger and wanted a larger sensor as well as better low light.
Yes, very helpful. Coming, as an Amateur, from a Canon T1i DSLR and getting into vlogging, this seems to make more sense to me now than an M50 or even RP. Currently vlogging with my iPhone. The T1i was never suited for 1080.
How beautiful is Canada in fall! What a country.
As Built to Spill said.... "What about Canada? This paradise of pines and ice"
The end music reminds me you used it on a Pentax camera review - probably K3. Love you both.
"... for the four people that might be interested in this profile". Priceless. Three thumbs up. Great work, Chris.
Great review ! Subscribed.
Great review!
I’ll buy this for my first camera!
5:46 that cinematic feel chris with camera reviews
Seems like a great camera for most people, so anyone in Canon or Nikon APS-C DSLR would really like it and could grow with it as they got better at photography/videography. Definitely a smart play by Fuji, I think. Now I'm interested to see what the X-H2 will bring to the table. I'd dig a slightly larger body with the same design elements, the new battery, more formidable IBIS, better EVF, etc.
Subscribe done - I really like this review - Complete, honest and objective
Hi, great well thought out review. I'm really trying to find one bit of information that every review seems to have missed. How are the pre amps for audio recording? I loved my XT100 but it was useless for video as the audio sounded like you were recording with a chorus of hissing adders. Any information much appreciated :)
I have been a fan of this channel for a while now and I just noticed I wasn't subscribed and when Chris got scratched I hit the subscribe button.
Yes! His face trauma was worth it!
Thanks for this review. I'm convinced. I want one!
@M Tech Fortunately in my case, I still have a couple spare batteries of the exact same model from a previous Fuji I had and since sold that are usable as spares in the X-S10. That's assuming I even need that many in the first place. For my style of shooting, most likely batteries will not even be an issue. Even if it were, I can use a portable USB-C ported battery pack I carry to charge a smartphone, to charge this battery in camera while OTG if it even becomes necessary.
Chris is basically the Indiana Jones of the photography world.
Does that make Jordan Short Round?
@@hunterholt1249 Jordan is clearly Spielberg in this analogy.
Have you seen an Indiana Jones movies? I have yet to see Chris punch a Nazi......
Minus the whip and the cool hat. Unless he's been hiding something.
😂😂😂😂
This going to be Fuji best selling camera for next 2-3years, love it !!
Beautiful country! Wish I could hike there. Shoot more reviews there too.
Hey Chris... I really love your work❤️.. Can you please make a comparison video for Fujifilm XS 10 and Nikon Z50...??
This XS10 fitted with a 16-80mm F4 matches many situations when traveling or trekking. It only lacks weather sealing.
Great review, makes me want the 16-80mm
Best reviewers on this planet
Fuji's film simulations really set them apart from the competition. I can only hope one day their medium format cameras will come down to full frame prices. At launch I mean, not second hand.
Great review, thank you. I am going to pre order it. I am still in doubt whether I should order it with the 18-55 or the 16-80 lens. What are your thoughts? Do you have any preference?
I am switching to Fuji too... I have Canon, Panny and Sony but now I love Fuji😍
“I think it’s going to make a lot of video shooters very happy” right as the eye-detect AF hunts like crazy. Ooof. That said, looks like a great camera and I badly wish my X-T4 had that grip.
Plenty of cheap grips you can buy for your xt4
best camera reviewer out there
"For the 4 people that might be interested in that profile..." LMAO. Good review. Interesting camera for Fuji. As a professional myself who shoots Fuji and Nikon I love what Fuji has done and is doing.
I'm one of that four. Anybody else?
@@spritual_enlightenment Lol, exactly 3 upvotes - seems we found the four people 😅
I understood: "for the poor people that might be interested in that profile..." :D
Great review! Thank you Sir!
Can you tell me what kind of filter you are using for this video?
Thank you!
Thank you!
I've recently bought an X-S10 for video purposes only. I've found that the focus jumping that you experienced seems to be dependent on the lens being used. My 16-80mm f4 (set at 50mm and f4) jumped at times. The AF on my 10-24mm f4 (set at 24mm f4) was rock solid. The 10-24mm has both internal focus and zoom. In my tests it seems to be a parfocal lens, so this may be a possible reason why. Except for some slight exposure shifting while zooming, the 10-24mm is an excellent lens for video.
I just ordered one, with the 15-45 kit lens. Mostly for video purposes. How is yours holding up? Still happy with it?
@@cineturon Yup, currently it's in my studio with the 18-120mm on it. My only video complaint is that when on AF-S it will do this focus check every now and again and go out of focus momentarily, while AF-C is not totally reliable. I use it mostly on manual in the studio. I've messed around with the tracking settings and that doesn't really improve things, unless we're ready to go with 100% lock and 0% speed.
Bottom line, it's a good video camera, not a great one. As far as still photography goes, no complaints. It's a nice, light package and with the kit lens it'll be a good, compact setup. My focus results may differ from yours as the focusing is a camera-lens pairing. You may get better focusing results as the PZ kit lens is moving less "stuff".
@@photographybypetercharles9939 thank you!
Great Video
I bought it 2 month ago, but I'm super happy with the camera
I think it has an amazing grip and the size it's perfect!
Which filter did you put on the front of the lense ?
Lovely regards from Germany !!
Thank you for the quality information you provide. Need your help in my deliberation on choosing an additional camera body for my lumix g9. Looking for the short term and debating between the sony a7c and fuji xs10
Did Chris get that scratch on his head from that bobbing background branch at 3:12? He just kept walking, like nothing had happened--what a trooper! lol
Hi Chris, thanks for your videos, I've watched them several times! I just began using my X-S10 today! First non-point and shoot camera. After shooting for a couple of hours, I went to the IS options, and noticed that, unlike earlier, "continuous + motion" and "shooting + motion" were no longer available. Any ideas? Thanks! Steve
I would love to see you do a comparison between the Fiji X-S10 and the Canon M6 Mark II.
Thank you so much you always amazing. What the difference between Fuji xt4 and this new camera which one you recommend? 👌
Thank you for great review! Please make a competition x-s10 vs. a6600. I am in the deepest confusion which of these cameras to buy))
That entrance deserves some kind of award 😂
Great review, quick question, what ND filter system are you using?
Really enjoying your videos ....
What will be its price range??
This is the 5th time I've watched this vid, I think the x-S10 will be my next camera purchase.
Did you end up buying? How you like it
Gotta admit im pretty sold on this camera - its got everything you need and sometimes Fuji have been a bit awkward when releasing stuff they would leave out certain things this time its got all the "mod cons" its gonna sell a _LOT_ this camera!
Chris, Beginner here considering this camera upgrading from my D3500. When using the simulations do I have the option to keep before and after images?
Looks like a fantastic little camera
looks good! Do you think there will be a battery grip?
I like the grip on that camera. Very important to me. Also, I see the snow that you got on Cdn Thanksgiving day and that Edmonton did not. :)
how strong was the ND you were using to allow those blurred stream shops? thanks for your thoughts on the new fuji as both a stills and motion camera. thumbs up.
I love the first 5 seconds of this!!
Great review. I'm in the market for an xt10 upgrade. This could be it.
The focus issues might be fixed in the production models but if not are something for Fuji to work on for the first firmware update. Price not mentioned so will have to check that.
I needed a cheap starter camera for HD video and went for a fuji x-a5 ( instead of a Sony NEX or Canon M) to get a cheap start, but still have a growth path into the film simulation and lens options. (At the low end cameras of any brand 4K is crap anyway). I think I will now start saving for this X-S10 with the 16-80F4 lens as a next video/photo setup, great mix and I really need the anti-shake.
Really compelling camera but I am glad I recently upgraded to the X-T3. Incredible camera and a world of difference coming from a Sony a6000. This new X-S10 is what I would consider the camera for non-Fuji fans trying to win them over which is smart. The X-T series just has that classy tactile feel though that I'm really loving so far. Just wish I could play with classic neg :')
Im looking into going from a6000 to fuji or canon. Canon is just heavy and bulky but I do like the offering. Xs10 seems great in terms of ergonomics and lenses are lighter than canons. But is it worth it considering the sony a6000 goes between 300-500 and the allrounder 18-1-5 F4 for 600 ish. Is it really that much of an upgrade?
Can you zoom in on the EVF to help with focusing on manual lenses? It's a standard feature on the LCDs but I never had a mirrorless before so not sure what's to be expected from those EVFs
It won me over from a Canon SLR, and I'm still a very happy user 2 years later (especially after investing in some good lenses)!
Filmed on the x-t4 without overheating?
I only jest... Wondering if you have any thoughts on the x-t200 overheating issues? Bad enough to stay away?
As an XT-2 user with many adapted old lenses, this camera looks like a good upgrade. The IBIS should reduce the need for lugging a tripod. I think I could get used to the different screen articulation mechanism and different control layout. The only downgrade from the XT-2 is the lack of dual card slot, but given all the other benefits, it might be worth it.
The thing is... one if the most praised features of fujifilm cameras where the knobs ( shutter speed, iso,...) that allowed you to set your camera as you're picking it up even before turning it on. No need to look through EVF nor tilt the screen.
Having an x-t2, which i love, I'm starting to think that my last fujifilm upgrade will be the x-t3. The newer x-t4 flip screen it's not with photografy at heart, and the size/weight are not that far from a full frame. I was really looking forward this x-s10 would be the smaller body, but with the x-t3 soul.
With the glass investment I've made, i sure hope that a newer camera for photography mainly is in the works.
@@pimentovski2011 That's a good point... I guess I do it all the time but don't really think abut it!
@@pimentovski2011 Totally agree with you. I own the X-T2 also and just by looking at the camera I can see which settings I am using. Also, while I didn't have any problems with SD cards yet, the dual card slot can be a life saver when on a job. Photography is a hobby of mine, but I sometimes shoot business events or school proms. I would have a major problem if my single SD card would fail during those events. I could lose dozens of photos which I can't reproduce.
Hey Chris what is the filter you are using over your lenses in a lot of your shots in this video?
The colours of the Xt4 are insanely pleasing
Really thinking I want one of these...
With the Fujifilm cameras, can you shoot in RAW and then later make a JPEG from that in a few different film profiles? Or are you stuck to choosing one and shooting with that profile?
The tune in the initial montage sequence reminds me of the theme song from Netflix's DARK.
That beautiful portrait at 8.00minutes, wonderful buttery toneh!! I'm guessing that was with the 90 f2?? Cheers.
I've been watching a lot of DSLR and mirrorless footage. This video stands out as being some of the best. It's probably due to the person using the camera, and a special lens. Can you explain what lens you used with the X-T4 to get this footage? This footage is on par with Hollywood film cameras. To me, the color and contrast at 0:30 and 4:05 looks like like a $50,000 camera? The focus at 10:00 seems to be really struggling to maintain a lock on the face. Is that typical?
Can this camera produce vertical videos straight inside the camera for example like the ZVE10? same thing for time lapses...
Wow! Such a fantastic camera for the price!
thanks, good info. done support your chanel
what ND filter system/holder is he using?
Which kit lens would you choose? 16-80 or 18-55?
BTW, this is a great review!
We got this one as our second body after the XT-4 , and now we found ourselves using it more.
What makes you use this one more vs. The XT-4?
Nice review guys, I’m a fuji user and I prefer the classic style of the xt series, but it’s nice fuji think in all type of people or style of photographers!!!
I really like that new grip, and the new cleaner look.
Totally interested in this camera. I moved from a Canon DSLR over to an X-T200 and...it's just too entry level for me so thinking of selling it and switching to this. But for that I'll need it back from Fuji because it spontaneously froze and wouldn't work after a month of having it so had to send it in to be repaired...😑
