      Hahaha same here. I just found out that Nikons newest cameras coming out In 2 years is gonna have an all new sensor and and all new chip. Now I don’t even want too buy the new z 7ii that just came out? How crazy is that? One mention of something better a ways a way and now that’s all I want and the new one is just shit, let alone buying a Z6 which is the older one and quite an upgrade from where I’m at. Even though the original z6 and z7 has been trashed heavily by many critics, rightfully so in some regards it’s still a damn good camera.

      @@erichramone7812 It's a vicious cycle man. Fear of missing out. It's hard to avoid it. Gotta have the latest and greatest. I think it's important for us to learn to be satisfied with whatever we have and not always search for the next thing...because innovations have no ceiling. They will keep making improvements, well after we are dead. On a different note, the z6 is a great camera. Bit too out of my budget. Fujifilm hits all the sweet spots for me and is perfect for my budget. Esp something like the xt4.

      @@ciao_abhi that’s true need to be content with with I’ve got. Even if I get exactly what I want right now, the next thing you know a new camera comes out that’s only slightly better and is now on the marketplace. But the xt4 I also want I get that. That’s seems like a powerhouse of a camera. I even just like the way that cameras size is for one thing and how it looks, not too mention the in body image stabilizer which everyone needs. Then you can put on non stabilized lenses in old and new ones and be fine at fast shutter speeds.

The fuji inside has always been great. Now it is great on the outside. This is the body rebellion camera. I want one! It is what happens when you copy a Panasonic and give it great focus and the other great fuji goodies inside. Truly excited by this camera.

    You're absolutely right, Kai. As a Fuji user, would I buy this camera? No. But this isn't geared towards us X-Txx users, it's for people moving from other systems who want to give Fuji a shot for its colour science but retain the familiarity of PASM systems etc. Should help Fuji increase its customer base, and that'll be good for us old consumers in the long run as well.

    Yeah. As a Fuji fan, the more typical controls aren't for me, but I can see why they want a camera with them to appeal to others. But looking at how small it remains with IBIS is what makes me excited - especially for an XE4 for with IBIS and current Fuji video capabilities. That would be my dream digital camera (well, to truly live the dream I'd want a bigger, higher res viewfinder too. But it'll be good enough).

    I have two Fuji bodies already and love the way they operate, that said, one of the things I miss most from using a Canon was the custom settings profiles.
    For Noobs it could be called a PASM dial, but for everyone else it's a Custom Settings dial and in that way I think most cameras should have one of these (just give it six profile slots for higher end bodies).
    (Yes I know Fuji has Custom Settings profiles in-menu, but having them on a dial is way better.)

    • @alexacerra

      @@alexacerra One of the most important things is changing Auto Focus modes along with customizing the range of shutter speed and Auto ISO to suit the situation. When you're out with wildlife then you will rapidly switch back and forth between fast motion (bird in flight, fast shutter speed, wide Auto Focus area) to still motion (bird lands in the trees, single point AF, slow shutter).
      Then just for convenience most people will probably have a few Portrait and Landscape profiles as well, it's not hard to fill six custom slots, 10 slots would probably be ideal, and I don't think I'd say there are too many until 15+.

      This would be a hell of a first camera for anyone, it includes great auto settings to get started quickly but can also be configured to take full control of its creative abilities. Make sure to research the best lenses for the fujifilm X system for the kind of photography you plan to do because the lens determines the image quality more than the camera.

    • @pixelgenau2982
      @pixelgenau2982 Před 3 lety +3

      Depends on what type of photography you are up to. If you like to travel and take snapshots quickly with a device that is always with you, stay with your iPhone. If you want to go deeper into photography, be it landscape or people or anything else, then you should buy a mirrorless camera. The Fuji X-S10 is for sure a good choice, other brands also have good solutions for starters. Just be aware that once you leave JPEG-Photography and choose the real deal with RAW images, you need to have a computer and specialised software for editing. There is a learning curve to it and digging into the fundamental rules of photography as well. I recommend starting with a (cheaper) second hand camera first and buy good quality lenses instead (XF only on Fuji X systems, don't waste your money on XC lenses). Lenses are lifetime investments and add the most to the quality of your pictures. Bodies will get outdated and new options are going to be available. Last but not least, handling a camera manually ist the real way to go for full control over your pictures. Never use automatic mode, instead use priority modes and try manual settings as often as you can. Digital photography is very forgiving. Bad pictures can be deleted and thanks to preview can be improved by taking the shot again as long the subject allows for it ;)

    I'm still undecided about the X-S10 vs XT-3. The X-S10 is newer, has the IBIS, is smaller and better ergonomics, and is U$ 100 cheaper right now. But, the XT-3 has a better EVF, has the flip up/down screen (that i prefer), has more buttons and has the traditional dials (not better, just tradicional). With a lens with OIS, the IBIS would be redundant.
    But my main struggle is that I eventualy might move to prime lens without OIS.
    So, this is my situation... EVF / flip up-down screen/+buttons --- VS --- IBIS, ergos?

    are flippy screens really just made for vloggers/selfies?

    • @alternacja
      @alternacja Před 3 lety

      Fully articulated screen is fine when you use tripod, or shoot a lot of low angle in portrait mode. But it’s awkward to use when handholding and I don’t like it 😁 I want to switch to Fuji but if they’re going to stick with this style of screen for all new cameras, I will have to get an older model...

      Tilt screen is easier to use for most people, better ergonomics, unless you record yourself. Nothing to do with “weakness”. I use both, fully articulated screen and basic tilt screen, and I prefer the tilt one. The screen is the only thing that stopped me from buying xt4 😁

      The A7C has the worst IBIS ever, also the X-S10 is fine in rain, Fujifilm just doesn't put the weather sealing sticker on anything they're not confident is ultra-well protected like the X-T4. I prefer this to Nikon's approach of lying about the Z50 being weather sealed even though it's no more resistant than the X-S10.

    I think it's pretty obviously going after Canon's smaller interchangeable lens cameras with reduced specs but ease of use. Sure it is a bit more than an M50 MKII. But that is also the intro price. The features seem to be copied verbatim. Even the de-emphasis of exposure triangle controls for the PASM approach more typical of Canon.
    Some may point out that there are other Fuji cameras at similar price with better features. This camera is not for them.
