I’m in my final year of engineering…VLSI placements seems dead…So I’m revising my basics and thinking to gain skill in some specialisation.
So what would you recommend Physical design or Verification…whose jobs are more and whose growth is good.
Till which month of next year....I should plan to finish all the prep to start applying for companies.
What you want to say about Students in 1st semester of mtech right now in Iisc/ top iits? Your thoughts about next year placement situation in digital /analog and things to do during mtech 1st year so that getting placed will become easier?
Placements will be much better next year, as per my estimation.
And for the first year, Just focus on all your classes. That's it! Later on, you can specifically prepare for placements within a month.

many projects did you do before sitting for TI Internship interview. How big of role does projects play in getting selected for TI internship and how many projects do you recommend one should do before the end of his 2nd year.

2) Not that important
3) Focus more on basics. Don't waste your time in doing some simple Arduino based projects.
Sir, what will happen when I will turn 40. Will Vlsi industry fire me due to age or would i be able to sustain in industry?
Sir isn't vlsi industry saturated ? Latest chip size is 2nm and will there be still jobs after 15-20 years ?
Is texas instruments company only have analog domain roles or does nvidia, Qualcomm etc have those roles?
There are many like Micron, NXP, TI, Synopsys, Qualcomm, Intel etc

I'm done with Btech in 2023 and I'm Trained VLSI Frontend design and verification Engineer (10 months), so same I also didn't find any good opportunites in VLSI . So Now Doing Mtech or MS is a good choice or accepting a startup opportunity with 3 years

No No No, I forgot to add this part in the video. Never accept any offer which has a bond of more than 1 year.
Doing MS/M.tech is a much better option.

@@b.aishpatil They will make you work like anything for 3 years. And you will be underpaid throughout the bond.
@himanshu You have been in industry like few months and without much exposure in industry,ur suggestions may not be aprropriate.Yes from service companies, engineers may be paid less compare to people selected from IIT/nit.Getting into semiconductor industry for engineers coming from small or tier 2 colleges is difficult.i suggest engineers to utilise opportunity you got and get into industry and learn how much you can and after 3 years of experience you will be equal to the pay with engineers who are joined from IIT/nit.
If you can feel you can crack gate and join good college that is good as well but no guarantee that after 2 years you will get great placement. Semiconductor industry is volatile

Aap 3 saal bond wala Matt lijiye job offer. Aap ek aur baar try kar sakte ho GATE prep. 25 years itna late nahi hai. Kaafi log kar lete hai. Aapko bas 1000 ke aas pas rank Lana hai.
Sir,I am a 3rd btech student in electrical engineering at IIT ISM Dhanbad.I am very enthusiastic about analog design and VLSI and want to pursue career in that field. This year Texas instruments came in our campus and recruited only 4 people but I am not in them. It is also not certain whether it would come in the time of placement season next year .I am very passionate to go in the analog profile but I am not able to find out the right path to go into it. In which direction should I proceed?? Please guide me Sir .
Look, if you are dedicated to something, you should keep on studying for that domain.
Now, nothing is certain. Who knows they will visit your campus next year and you get selected.
I would recommend you to do your best till the end of your B.tech. Along with that, you can ask for referrals on LinkedIn.
The other option is GATE. You can get into M.tech VLSI and pursue your dreams.
We have a senior from your college in TI, he secured AIR 29 in GATE'22.

@@HimanshuAgarwal_ Yes, bhiya there is a 3yrs bond. If I leave Dexcorr before 3yr bond, they will not give the relieving docs but I don't have to pay monetary penalty. plz suggest your valuable opinion...
