    I am a new subscriber and enjoying all your videos - even the old ones ;) Instead of using a toothpick after soaking the silver coin in lemon juice for a few minutes - try rubbing the silver coin in cooking salt between your thumb and index finger with some lemon juice still on the coin. Most of the black will come right off. Then rinse the coin well in water. Anyway, greetings from Denmark, and thank you so much for all your hard work producing these videos 😉 All the best from Paul.

    Would this method work with a beaten up Roman silver I found on the foreshore?

    If you bite the end of the pick with your tooth you can also make a fine brush ,we collect blackthorn thorns as they are hard but not to hard to damage your finds ,the museums use blackthorn, great channel, my bro in law sent me over as I have a Lakeland terrier that also chases his tail .

      Really! It’s funny isn’t it,,, Tasci is the only dog I know who completely buries everything too. .. my last terrier was a Patterdale - she was brilliant too I really miss her… I think she had a lot of Lakeland in her fantastic little digs so they are- thanks for watching and hope all well!

      Thanks for this videos, it really helps ??????? Well i will also say this here, for me i still find cryptocurrency very important mostly when it comes to bitcoin trading due to the fact that bitcoin is still very bullish. I so much advise everyone to get involved in day trading so as to grow the little we can afford with a working strategy/daily signals, However its been of massive success for me because i have been trading with Mr Nicholas strategy/daily signals with a proper guides in day trading for over 6 months now. During my first 5 weeks of trading with Mr Nicholas daily signals i was able to accumulate and grow my portfolio from 1.1btc to 6.8btc which you would agree is a very good profits. I will kindly advise we should grow the little we hold ahead of the major bull run, Myron can be reach via Instagram @nicholas__fxtrade for inquiries into profitable trading systems.

    Hi Alex Stewart hope you are well Alex first day out with the Deus light the other day had a good day one Roman one looks like Medieval Ring and lots off buckles etc what would you suggest to clean the Ring Alex it’s got great markings on it and I think it’s Gold but it’s covered in a black type thin rusty stuff any ideas how to remove all that black old stuff on the ring excited about it it’s really old it could even be Saxon all the best Alex Stewart wilts

    • @HolzHammerSagas
      @HolzHammerSagas  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Stewart, sounds like you had a good day... the deus will take a bit of time to learn - i remember being really exasperated by it a lot when i was new to it but it soon became clear! Gold really should looked feel like Gold if it is Gold as it doesn't tarnish... have you come across www.thedetectinghub.co.uk? It is a very useful, informative and above all friendly forum which will help with IDing finds and all sorts of other information from some members who are real pros.... I'M HolzHammer on it btw! I'd give it a go, introduce yourself and then have access to a wealth of other peoples knowledge...

    Cheers for the video Alex.
    With the foil, a chemical reaction occurs that converts some of the tarnish back to silver.
    I posted a good method of cleaning milled coins using the same principle a while ago on one of the forums, I wouldn’t use my method on a hammy but we did discuss how it works so if you're interested have a look and it will explain the chemistry behind it, it's a bit long winded to go into here.

    Hi Alex Stewart Wilts ,,as I spoke to you a couple off weeks back about my new Deus light I got about 6 weeks ago ,,from using the Racer 2 makro it was time to change how amazed I have being last week medieval ring and I Roman ,,today I was out on one off my permissions nr Devizes and what a day it turned out Alex ,,I was stunned and my heart was racing as I pulled my first Gold coin in seven years and that coin was a George 111 gold Guinea 1791 in stunning condition I could not control my feelings program Deus fast 17 khs pasture looked it up on Google quite a rare coin stopped making them a few years later ,,,,, I went out to get myself a Roman ,and yes also got 2 Romans part off a nice Roman clasp and many more Georgian and William coins that Deus is in a league off its own ,,what a day all the best Stewart 👍👍

      good stuff Stewart and good to hear from you! I'm glad the deus is working for you... and it will only get better! the next thing is to really listen out for the tiny wispy high pitched signals you can hardly hear... often good small targets at depth! I don't fiddle about with too many of the settings but you can try lowering the reactivity to 2.5 on the fast programme - you will find you get a bit of extra depth along with a bit more punch with the signal... gold and romans... what more can you ask for?!

    Do you not find as an antique’s dealer you get less for a cleaned coin when selling to market.

    • @HolzHammerSagas
      @HolzHammerSagas  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi David, hope all well! I have never sold a coin so not sure but expect you are right - coin people dont like their coins to be "restored"... Antique dealers do however like their furniture to be so if needed i.e it is acceptable to try and make things look like they were supposed to be originally - not the case with coins I don't think... I quite like them to look like they would have been intended to look not what they have become! All the Best
