Cleaning silver hammered coins: 2. Water & foil and lemon juice

- Second in a series of videos showing my way of cleaning, straightening and repatinating silver coins. If you use these methods, they are at your own risk and should only be used on coins of little to no value or coins you want to keep, as any unprofessional treatment WILL devalue them.
Hope you find the methods of interest and any comments are most welcome. (I'm working on the focussing issues, but with enough gin it looks fine!)

Cheers, Alexander. The end results on various cleaning techniques depend a lot on the properties of the coin itself as well as how the individual applies the method. You might get entirely different results but I'm certainly looking forward to seeing them. The more info out there the better!
I always thought you rubbed the foil and it had to be spit! Lucky I don’t use that method, nor lemon juice. However I might try the foil one now I know it’s not going to damage the coin 👍🏼
I've heard about foil supposedly scratching coins but never experienced it myself and can't see how it can. But each to their own!

Don't put your coins in lemon just stick them in the tin foil.foil cleans them the lemon juice makers then
