      @cristianbulgaru939 Před rokem +4

      You don't need to take out everything to get to the heatsink and clean it. If you want to deep clean your PS4 Pro without replacing the thermal paste, it's enough to remove the power supply: czcams.com/video/pud3G-7YsKY/video.html

    • @Daz555Daz

      @@cristianbulgaru939 still a horrible effort to get to the fins. Also voids warranty as stickers have to be removed. Heatsink fins should be accessible just by removing a top or side panel with no warranty concerns.

    Would have been better if you'd flattened and distributed the thermal paste before putting back the heatsink. This way it might even have a worse heat transfer from the chip to the sink than before with the dried paste. The higher temperature just shows that the chip is running on a higher temperature than before.

    • @TechOpsTV
      @TechOpsTV  Před 4 lety +5

      You can use a paper towel or a lint-free cloth soaked in isopropyl alcohol to clean the core and heat sink. When it comes to applying the paste, be sure to use one that does not conduct electricity. Try to use a similar amount as in the video (a little less than the size of a pea). If you use a non-conductive paste, nothing bad will happen if you give it too much, but if you apply too little it can overheat.

    Hey! I don't have a t9 security screwdriver! Will a torx t8 security screwdriver work?? I have found online on many places that people recommend t8 other than the t9 !
    I have both t8 and t10

    • @TechOpsTV
      @TechOpsTV  Před 4 lety

      Unplug the cord from the back, wait 30 seconds and plug it back in. Another thing to try is holding down the power button till it beeps twice and then release. Last thing to try is to get some washers and put them under the APU clamp (TronicsFix show how to do it, search "PS4 On And Off DIY Fix" on youtube).

    • @TechOpsTV
      @TechOpsTV  Před 4 lety +2

      If you don't disassemble the whole console, yes. However, after removing the heat sink from the APU, you MUST replace the paste with a new one (never put back the heat sink on old paste).
