Take the most athletic guy today and have him try those violent, truly ferociously violent, stops or changes of direction whilst going full throttle and they'd get their knees damaged. To combine that with the ability to jump stop or even jump backwards with complete balance and body control and bury a jumpshot is beyond absurd. And thats just one of his traits. His peak athleticism was the first 3-peat. The skinnier Jordan just appears more athletic to the untrained eye. To be more specific, peak-peak athletic ability Jordan was his 3rd championship season in the finals and no he didn’t fade at the end of the season because of the grueling stretch. He was a machine energized bunny with insane genetics who could progress at everything without fatigue causing him to stagnate or plateau. His trainer talks about this in his book. His 48” vertical was at this time. His trainer started working with him before the first championship season and took his vertical from 42” to 48” by the time the ‘93 finals arrived. Mentally he needed a break after this and not just cause his Father was murdered because he gave Stern fair warning before that tragic event but that was definitely the straw that broke the camel’s back.

      1st year 38-44 1-3 in playoffs
      2nd year 30- 52 0-3 in playoffs
3 rd year 40-42 again swept in first round.
3 first round losses and little improvement until they drafted pippen really high in the draft and Horace, and built a good deep team with them off the bench.
      4th year 50 wins lost 2nd round 2-3
      5th year 47
6th 55 And from there they did keep improving until they were the only dynasty/super team in the league and dominated lesser talented teams.

The vast majority of knowledgeable NBA fans (fans, professional analysts, players or ex players, etc) who have him as the GOAT are perfectly aware of everything you said. @@jaredfullmer5104 First, he did play 2 more years after that shot but not immediately. It was about 2 years later, after when he came out of retirement to play for the Wizards.
2nd. Jordan retired not because of Pippen but more because it was Phil Jacksons last year of coaching because they was not gonna renew his contract to coach more years and Jordan had said he didn't want to play for another coach. So when they gave Phil the axe, Jordan retired and probably the reason Pippen left as well and any other good players as they knew the team was too broken up to win, because of the stupid feud with Jerry Krause because of a power struggle.. Now without Phil coaching and no Jordan or Pippen, etc. Jerry Krause would be the one to be blamed after they sucked so bad after their last championship and rightfully so. Otherwise they could of won even more championships.
3rd. The career arc was not perfect until they finally got Phil Jackson to coach and had Ted Winters "triangle offense" then they kept improving like you said and got better players along the way until they finally won. And also Jordan didn't jump around from team to team of possible contenders just so he could win a championship easier. He stayed loyal and remained with his team throughout.
4th. There was a couple good dynasty's back then like Celtics and Lakers, etc. but you have to understand back then there was only about 11 teams as opposed to like 32 today, so winning in a row would not be as hard when you have a pretty good team put together.

I love how the music is suited to each period of Jordan’s career,
1984-1990 is fast paced, exciting, makes your heart race, as that’s what it was like to watch Jordan at that time full of youth, energy and excitement.
1991-1993 sounds commanding and dominant, like something a Rock N’ Roll King would walk out to complementing Jordan in this Period, the perfect mix of talent, energy and experience something the younger Jordan obviously lacked, Jordan at the absolute peak of his abilities.
And finally we have the 1995-1998 theme sounding almost like a religious anthem , thematic, classical but still as loud and dominant as ever, showing how Jordan’s legacy has now risen to an almost myth-like status even while he’s still playing, a literal living legend.

@Sam Scholten Haha.. man I'm dead. About to get on your ass. About to tell you why no NBA player can F with Jordan. I'm about tell you his Greatness down below!
Not only Jordan is far more skilled than Lebron, MJ's greatness cannot be touch!
His biography on the official NBA website states: "By acclamation, Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time." He was integral in helping to popularize the NBA around the world in the 1980s and 1990s, becoming a global cultural icon in the process.
His competitiveness was visible in his prolific trash-talk and well-known work ethic. Jordan often used perceived slights to fuel his performances. Sportswriter Wright Thompson described him as "a killer, in the Darwinian sense of the word, immediately sensing and attacking someone's weakest spot." As the Bulls organization built the franchise around Jordan, management had to trade away players who were not "tough enough" to compete with him in practice. To help improve his defense, he spent extra hours studying film of opponents. On offense, he relied more upon instinct and improvisation at game time.
Noted as a durable player, Jordan did not miss four or more games while active for a full season from 1986-87 to 2001-02, when he injured his right knee. Of the 15 seasons Jordan was in the NBA, he played all 82 regular season games nine times. Jordan has frequently cited David Thompson, Walter Davis, and Jerry West as influences. Confirmed at the start of his career, and possibly later on, Jordan had a special "Love of the Game Clause" written into his contract, which was unusual at the time, and allowed him to play basketball against anyone at any time, anywhere.
In 1988, Jordan was honored with the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award and became the first NBA player to win both the Defensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player awards in a career. In addition, he set both seasonal and career records for blocked shots by a guard, and combined this with his ball-thieving ability to become a standout defensive player. He ranks third in NBA history in total steals with 2,514, trailing John Stockton and Jason Kidd. Jerry West often stated that he was more impressed with Jordan's defensive contributions than his offensive ones. Doc Rivers declared Jordan "the best superstar defender in the history of the game."
Jordan was known to have strong eyesight; broadcaster Al Michaels said that he was able to read baseball box scores on a 27-inch (69 cm) television clearly from about 50 feet (15 m) away. During the 2001 NBA Finals, Phil Jackson compared Jordan's dominance to Shaquille O'Neal, stating that "Michael would get fouled on every play and still have to play through it and just clear himself for shots instead and would rise to that occasion."
Larry Bird said that rookie Jordan was the best player he ever saw, and that he was "one of a kind", and comparable to Wayne Gretzky as an athlete. In his first game in Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks, Jordan received a near minute-long standing ovation. After establishing the single game playoff record of 63 points against the Boston Celtics on April 20, 1986, Bird described him as "God disguised as Michael Jordan."
Many of Jordan's contemporaries have said that Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. In 1999, an ESPN survey of journalists, athletes and other sports figures ranked Jordan the greatest North American athlete of the 20th century, above Babe Ruth and Muhammad Ali. Jordan placed second to Babe Ruth in the Associated Press' December 1999 list of 20th century athletes. In addition, the Associated Press voted him the greatest basketball player of the 20th century. Jordan has also appeared on the front cover of Sports Illustrated a record 50 times. In the September 1996 issue of Sport, which was the publication's 50th-anniversary issue, Jordan was named the greatest athlete of the past 50 years.
Jordan's athletic leaping ability, highlighted in his back-to-back Slam Dunk Contest championships in 1987 and 1988, is credited by many people with having influenced a generation of young players. Several NBA players, including LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, have stated that they considered Jordan their role model while they were growing up. In addition, commentators have dubbed a number of next-generation players "the next Michael Jordan" upon their entry to the NBA, including Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill, Allen Iverson, Bryant, Vince Carter, James, and Wade. Some analysts, such as The Ringer's Dan Devine, drew parallels between Jordan's experiment at point guard in the 1988-89 season and modern NBA; for Devine, it "inadvertently foreshadowed the modern game's stylistic shift toward monster-usage primary playmakers", such as Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Luka Dončić, and LeBron James. Don Nelson stated: "I would've been playing him at point guard the day he showed up as a rookie."
Although Jordan was a well-rounded player, his "Air Jordan" image is also often credited with inadvertently decreasing the jump shooting skills, defense, and fundamentals of young players, a fact Jordan himself has lamented: "I think it was the exposure of Michael Jordan; the marketing of Michael Jordan. Everything was marketed towards the things that people wanted to see, which was scoring and dunking. That Michael Jordan still played defense and an all-around game, but it was never really publicized." During his heyday, Jordan did much to increase the status of the game; television ratings increased only during his time in the league. The popularity of the NBA in the U.S. declined after his last title. As late as 2020, Finals ratings had not returned to the level reached during his last championship-winning season.
In 2016, President Barack Obama honored Jordan with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
In the documentary, Jordan explained that his famous "Flu Game" was not the flu at all, and he believes it was food poisoning from the pizza in question, something his trainer backs up. Stories that five people came to their hotel door to deliver the pizza were told, making many believe the pie was purposefully somehow spiked.
Jordan's "The Last Shot" in the Greatest Sequel in NBA History! He did 6 clutch things in the last 3 minutes of the game! (Game 6, 1998 NBA Finals)!
People who didn't even LIKE basketball would watch because of Jordan. Only Magic Johnson came close to having that effect, but not to the magnitude of Jordan.
Jordan at the age 39 was guard by a Prime Kevin Garnett and still gave him the business! - czcams.com/video/Eiu58lUmbA4/video.html
