      Exactly - nothing he did was really for his personal gain or (stats) - people forget about how many times Jordan would miss a shot and Rodman get the rebound and kick it right back out and Jordan knocks it down the second time - I remember games when he would get 2 offensive rebounds on one possession and somebody finally hits the shot on the 3rd attempt - man you can't over look stuff like that - second chance points in big games - he does not get enough credit as well as Pippen - don't get me wrong, I am a huge Jordan fan - but saw what Rodman & Pippen brought to the table, night in and night out

    One of the things that made Rodman such a freak athlete was the fact that he would party all night, be late/skip practice and have more determination and energy than anyone else once he stepped on the court

    96 Finals, game 3 or 4… Rodman grabs a rebound and instantly quarterbacks a long throw to Jordan who slams it. This was an amazing quick and huge play in a big game. Im not sure how that didnt make the list

    I must admit, I wasn't a Rodman fan back in the day...only because of his antics, but, watching videos of him now I can say my mind has changed. He was a specimen...a rebounding and defensive machine. He never quits on a play, like Lebron does.

    Rodman will stop at nothing to get that rebound, he just wanted it more than the rest. He is truly one of the great rebounders of the game of Basketball.

      I seem to remember he tipped the ball must have 15 times before it finally went in. (maybe only 10 times) but it seemed like forever. Think his opponents were caught napping on the court.

      @@rogercortez2982 yes with Horace Grant as a top 5 Power Forward in the game at the time, and Bill Cartwright a great center. By 96 when Jordan came back into the league, Shaq entered the league and the bulls wouldn’t have been able to match him, or Malone with the Jazz, if Rodman wasn’t there beating them to rebounds, blocking shots, and keeping them out to the paint so much.

      @@jackpotjoey8828 Bingo! Horace was not the same PF after he left the Bulls, I think the pressure of wanting to prove himself led to many of his injuries. Bill Cartwright was a mentally savvy C with experience but kept getting thrown around by Shaq and other bigmen. Shaq was dominating the league since Jordan's first retirement but fine-tuned his prowess by '96 when Jordan came back. I miss those days, bro.

    Most younger people would look at this and say, "Huh?" Worm was the most important piece on the court. His sheer drive and hustle was enough to intimidate opponents and give the team the energy boost necessary to get the win. Far from a scorer but his defensive mindset more than made up for the lack of points.

    I am getting shivers, re-watching these plays, as I was fortunate enough to watch the very same plays on Live TV (at least) :) Dennis the Worm Rodman was... no, still IS... one of my favourite players, especially for his defense and energy he provided :) He was a great addition to the Chicago Bulls back then :)

    pure heart and hustle on every play by Rodman, he also perfected the art of landing, I don't recall him ever getting hurt on any of those plays diving head first for a loose ball

    I had a seat behind the basket at one of the Bulls/Pacers playoff games in Indy....was always a big fan of Rodman....all his effort...making rebounding seem cool.....and all the individuality; not worrying about being different......but my appreciation/admiration for the man grew during that playoff game; the amount of physicality he brought....he turned the game into a wrestling match....opponents had no choice but to try to match his level of toughness and energy...otherwise be embarrassed......all the while....with a smile on his face...entertaining the crowd; urging them on to hate him. ;)

    Rodman didn’t care he was gonna go for it all the way every single time! That’s what made him such a joy to watch. I loved that he was different. And I prayed for him when he struggled. Amazing player and man.

    Everytime I watch Rodman's game on CZcams in all team where he played..We can't deny it that he really loves to play basketball on his own way he know .He has a passion and determination for every game .He will give his play for more than 100% I mean he will give his all the BEST as he can just to make his team to WIN! By doing his part as a player SAVING the ball by DIVIDING!!! it's not just a easy and simple what Rodman doing it's so insane plus Rebounding, Defense and giving a GOOD PASSING! it's a BIG key to make the team effectively to win.     Rodman is the type of player who does not have a lot of "spectacular" individual plays. His value was in consistency and doing the same, correct things every time down court. He once held Shaq to like zero points in a half in a playoff game. He was incredible.

    Rodman was not only a great defender and rebounder he was an exceptional passer of the ball. He could get a rebound and almost quarter back like would pick out a player up court with a precision pass.
