went looking for old Exene stuff - then found that I really like new Exene stuff too. That's a signal that an aritst is worthwhile. Love you
the last time I saw her live was her poetry when she opened for Arthur Lee & Love at the Knitting Factory 2001
Beautiful song!
Love ya EXENE❤
I come back to this & it always works.
Cervenka & Wasserman.....you cannot go wrong!!!
Love her.
Beautiful ;)
Her voice is better than it's ever been and I've always loved her lyrics. But I miss her harmonies with John Doe and X's amazing music. Good thing they tour all the time.
On top of that, I don't think Exene meant to bash on Arizona. It's just a song in which the main character of it misses where they're orginally from.
pretty . . .
i like the new c.d.
I think you're reading too much into the song. While you may have lived in "Commiefornia" most of your life and can't wait to leave, not all people who live here and have most of their lives also feel the same way you do. Some do, some don't. There's really nothing to get. I know people who were orginally form AZ and have no intention of going back. Different strokes for different folks.
i liked her better singing Wasted by Black Flag
Bring the pedal steel...
Good for you. What's your point? All I was saying is that some people like it here and some don't and you were reading way more into the song than what it was intended.
