New music videos as often as we can! Hey, it's a paaannndemic. Intimate recordings of Americana music artists, often filmed during private sessions in remote or unusual locations.
Bishop Gunn "Keep It In The Red"
@BishopGunn finished their Music Fog recording session then decided to give us one more song to hold onto. "Keep It In The Red" was scheduled to be on their next album, at the time of this recording. But then, a band hiatus put that plan on hold, and left this recording to never been seen or heard. The group has not reformed, but they have decided to release that final album they recorded together, Gypsy Cadillac (1/9/21). The album is available now, and their studio recording is featured on it. Here is the Music Fog version...play it loud, and keep it in the red!
Filmed during a private Music Fog recording session on 2/10/19 in Nashville, Tennessee. Travis McCready (vocals, electric guitar), Drew Smithers (electric guitar), Ben Lewis (bass), and Burne Sharp (drums)

A little better than the usual crap labeled country these days, but for those of us who grew up on the real thing, it’s not country music. You can like it to your heart’s content, you can like LL Cool J or Michael Buble too, but they’re not country either. What led country music to its grave was loss of traditional instrumentation, “Tennessee Tenor” style harmony, the ‘each line tells a story’ song structure, just stand still and sing presentation, simple 3 or 4 chords with a melody, and other country trademarks like the song themes. The ‘Nashville Sound’, the “ooh & aah” Morman Tabernacle Choir type backup singers, the symphony orchestra strings or the acid rock guitar & drums drowning out the words, the ridiculous stage presentations, and the aim for ‘crossover’ rather than country fans diluted and eventually killed country music. The current rock, pop, & country all sounds and even looks pretty much hard to tell apart. We wound up with country music made by and for people who really don’t like country music. Sad but true.
Me too, great song . Powerful message.
Everything about this performance is awesome. Miss you all

I was on a road trip a few years ago and stopped at a random bar in Florida for a beer. The performer started singing this song and I've never been able to get it out of my head since. Gotta love Florida!
