Our Hardest Week in Sumatra, Indonesia So Far - Losing THREE Fur Babies

- The day after we uploaded this video, Dotti passed away in the early hours of the morning. We did everything humanly possible, and she fought so hard, but her body just couldn't survive.
Our cats are not our "pets," they are our family - part of our souls. We are devastated to have lost 3 in such a short time, and at such a young age.
We'll be back to more Sumatra-related content in the weeks to come, but for now, we are grieving. Thanks so much to everyone who has shown us support and reached out, it means so much.

Aww, no! I was so hopeful by the end of your video seeing Dotti outside, able to walk and scratch the log. And then I read your description and learned of the sad news. I am so so sorry Carly & Agung. You have been through too much recently. It is devastating to lose one, but three! Triple the pain. A couple of months ago I did my best to save a village cat here and was having to force feed him too. It was exhausting and emotional. Take a much needed rest you guys. May all three of your beloved fur babies be together now and running free. Sending you all love 😻😿
Thank you - we were so hopeful that day too. Really thought she had turned a corner. But the next day she was so weak she could barely walk. This has been our hardest month in Indonesia by far - and just really crossing fingers that the rest of the babies are ok! Really appreciate your words, it so helps to have people who understand that they are not "just cats"! xxx
@@ExploringSumatra hope the others will be healthy. What kind of virus is it? What is the name? Nope, they are not 'just cats', they are our family.
@@LifeOnLombok The vet wasn't 100 percent sure, but suspected calici virus (the symptoms weren't exactly a match but some were). But could also be feline panleukopenia? Whatever it is, it's brutal.
