Gandalf der Graue wicked wolf appears to be that flavor wise but it isn’t really commander playable because it relies on the food tokens
Really enjoy you guys splitting up your reviews into 2 episodes gives you guys more freedom to go into depth about brainstorming new decks and then figuring out how other cards fit into existing decks

So from the cards on the list and the cards I got from pre-release, I’ve got a frame for a commander deck.
Black-blue mill and burn. Ayara, black’s legendary knight, and lochmere serpent. 4-black-blue 7/7 flash which can retrieve itself from the graveyard by exiling cards from an opponents deck and black-blue mana. Won me a majority of my games when I was using it.
Definitely gonna build around it.
I don't know what Wizards are doing with the color balance, as if they don't want white to be good
White seems really good in limited, though!
I'm most excited to build around Yorvo. I love using plus one counters, and hydras are my favorite creature type. I feel as though they would work well with him given that you can make them as big as needed in order to give him 2 counters
I made a budget Worth, the Raidmother deck a while ago, and just a few weeks ago I was playing with it and popped off. I ended up getting every land in my deck on the field, made a bunch of tokens, drew my whole deck, Made more tokens, then burn at the staked somebody for 800 damage that was sitting at 600 life. Fun deck :D

Wizards made Feather, thats white AND red. That was a step in the right direction in helping boros. A good mono white commander wouldve been awesome. Missed oportunities.

I LOVE black, but this is pretty overkill even for me.
You guys missed a BOMB card with Syr Konrad.
Morality Shift. It'll deal 1 Damage for EVERY creature in your Library AND Graveyard. The only creatures not dealing damage in this case would be the ones still in your hand.
So say you run the average 28 creatures, you could nuke a few people on the spot with a card like that.
Follow it up with damnation and win.
If you have a "when this creature is put into your graveyard, shuffle your graveyard back into your library" creature, it does it twice, as far as I know.

if you guys are looking for a white commander to try to build, I've had a lot of fun with god-eternal oketra. the commander doesn't have card advantage or ramp on it but the commander with the use of some creatures that bounce themselves back to your hand allows you to create mana sinks that make 4/4 creatures for the low cost of {W} {1} over and over again. it doesn't get access to boat loads of answers but the deck has access to an avenue to becoming the threat of the table.

5 cmc artifact Whenever a creature dies, if another creature is on the battlefield, return the first card to the battlefield under its owner's control at the beginning of the next end step.
Sure it doesn't win right away with Ayara or Syr Konrad but I think that it'd be worth the add. Like play cheap utility creatures that can clog the ground that also happen to have ETB triggers.
Yeah I do agree it's almost criminal that white doesn't have much of anything going for commander.
With Syr Konrad, you can also return creatures from the graveyard and it works. So using return to hand or battlefield.
This is the third time you guys have sang a song I play on repeat.
I just watched the Commander Wishlist episode and then saw that mono-red commander and was like "hey, that's the exact card they were suggesting", I came here to say that but Josh remembered and brought it up. Worth mentioning the Jaya from War of the Spark has a similar effect but it only works on permanents and planeswalkers and only adds one damage instead of two.

I am so excited to debut my new Emry deck on my Emry playmat! Built a somewhat faerie tribal Chulane (which was really difficult) just for fun, but super surprised that it's 2 for 2 so far!
So glad I bought the rakdos madness deck. There are so many good additions coming to Black and red.

Note for syr konrad, jimmy said that it works for tokens since it doesnt say nontoken. However it does say creature CARD which means that tokens dont trigger since they are creatures but arent cards
My two favourites that I'm planning to build are the two commanders that you guys chose! Aya and Torbran. They seem class and fun.

The wheel of time is my absolute favorite series of my entire life. I am just now beginning my third read through because the books are so detailed and so long.
That song, the duet cover, was the real six colour of magic.
Questing Beast is an important creature in Eldraine Lore, that's why it has such an odd name for a Legendary.
Ayara and Konrad will be going straight into my Yawgmoth deck!

Korvold is easily my favorite new commander. I tried to make Krav and Regna work all year and ended up pulling it apart. Korvold came out just in time to take their place. Really excited. Also, Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle is a great mono white deck. Most of the great cards are artifacts but it's a neat deck.
I kinda like the very risky Syr Konrad plus Doomsday Combo trying to kill all at once :D

I wasn't that into the set before but now I am pretty excited especially for syr konwyn
I started building Grumgully for a persist combo or find a way to make Workhorse into a combo. (Remove a counter from it to add a colourless) Very cool
So I'm a big reader and when you said a series that's so big, I got excited. Then I went online to look at the price for all the books and I was sad. I don't have that kinda money to spend on books when I have to spend all my money on Magic! LOL. I guess it'll go on my Christmas list to my mom. Yes, I'm grown with kids of my own, but she asks my siblings and I for a list every year.
Syr Konrad the Grim is one of the best legends in the set, I was so excited when I saw this card. I also love the fact that Commander's Quarter's has built a 50 $ version of this commander deck. something of a baseline to work from I guess
Torbran just goes right into my Krenko mob boss goblin deck. all the goblin tokens are red :)
With Syr Konrad and Necropotence you actually get a 3rd proc of his trigger if you discard them to your end step.
I'm surprised that they didn't mention that the mono colored lord cycle synergize well with the mono colored knight cycle (also the mono colored legendary artifacts but they aren't commanders so I didn't expect them to talk about them anyway).
I'm thinking of building an Ayara deck that utilizes Ser Conrad and The Cauldron of Eternity. Any one of them on the field is great, but get two or all three of them and it starts to get pretty crazy.
Syr Faren works fantastically in a Xenagos deck and just ok in a lot of other ones.

I have an Emry Value engine deck. It's quickly becoming my favorite deck.
Syr Faren is the one I’m most interested in. It has cool interactions with stuff like Wild Beastmaster, Cultivator of Blades, and Champion of lambholt. You just get to swing in and it alpha strikes for freeeeee.
Most powerful is King Kenrith. Already have a cEDH deck for it and it slaps at powerful tables
That ayara could be fun in K'rrik decks 6 life for a 2/3 that has blood artist/cutthroat and a sac outlet with draw power in one. Edit: oh good they mention K'rrik

With Syr Konrad it doesn't have to just be exiled. It says "or a creature card LEAVES your graveyard". So if that creature leaves the graveyard back to your hand that would count. It's even more broke.
I am drooling at the thought of Syr Konrad hiding in my Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker deck.

Ive played against shirei twice. All my decks now have grafdiggers cage and rest in peace in them.
Mono white actually does have a super fun commander!.... Darian, King of Kheldor! ... the maschicist deck! ... It is so fun to run every card you can think of that damage yourself plus a ton of soul warden effects.
I was making a mono black infinite ping deck ... so glad i ordered all the cards last week before this came out.
The Commander I'm most excited for is Alela. I have been wanting to put together an EDH curse deck for a while but I have had a hard time choosing a commander for it. The ones I was looking at the most were Zur the Enchanter, who gets way too much hate when hes out for what I am trying to do with the deck and the other was Aminatou, the Fateshifter, but she is really only a card advantage in the deck so Alela looks like she might be that nice inbetween where I'm getting value and synergy off her but not incuring the instant hate Zur gets.
