You’re a good neighbor man, we don’t see that enough anymore these days.
I agree you're a good man. and a good neighbor and yes we don't see enough of that nowadays.
Very nice to do for others. Even better to not brag or look for reward for it. Just a thought.
Its still common up north fortunately..they come from a heritage of survivors.Living up in the snow belt isnt easy at all..its easier in a group.
Good neighbors up here in German, Swede, Norwegian country are always willing to help but they are gonna give you shit the whole time. It’s how we do things.
Well it obvious that the man been raised right by awesome parents
Watch Wes Work was talking about you again 😃
You two are just the greatest! 😊👍
he loves flexy hoses too!
Monday? it’s Morskie Monday best thing to wake up to. It’s going to be a great day 🎉
I’m loving the jabs between Puddin and Mortske! Slick 50 even threw some in!
A gentleman and a scholar duff approved sweet corn and watermelon heck of a deal for helping the neighbor
Mortske on a Monday morning the best ever
Another Mortske Monday , I can't get enough !!! The 63 Impala was gone in sixty seconds ( POOF ) but now you have an Oldsmobile to take its place ( WAM ) . There is always something happening at the garage to keep us on our toes . Thank you for the video and your time to put it together , now I wait for the next one . Stuart in Ontario ..
Our pleasure STuart!
Congratulations on the sale.
Love seeing these factory style builds, can’t wait to see more of the 61 bubble top. And gotta love the ball busting between you and Puddin lol.
Nice to see that ‘63 off the lift and running! If you don’t change your mind and keep it, it’ll make someone a nice ride!
@GIVEAWAY-867go screw
42:34 when the drive-ins went over to FM the speakers were left sitting. We used to take them with the diagonal cutters and hooked them up in our old '50s cars and run our 8-track tape players through them. Bad sound! But they were free. Enjoying your video today. Thanks, Dave.
Good stuff!
You and Duff get an Extra Gold Star This Week for that Kind Neighborly Act for the Seasoned Veteran of Life.
Thanks!
Thanks for another great Mortske Monday! Thanks as always to the editing department 🐾🍺
our pleasure!
I like that 63, especially the original paint. Great choice on the wheels too.
Much appreciated!
I love the banter between Mortske and Puddin'!!!
Con grats to whoever bought the 63 SC. it was nice to see it run and move on its own, after seeing it hanging from the rafters for a year. Helping the neighbors is what make our country stick together, like bis-kits n gravy to yer ribs. Thanks for the Labor day wishes and to you the same. Be well.
You should definitely keep that 63 and add it to your collection of cool cars! You probably won't ever find another one in that good of condition unless you have a fortune to spend on it. I love that car! 😊
I wish I could keep em all!
@@MortskeRepair I wish I could have one even in bad shape!
Whaaaat? Mortske Monday, is this a thing now? Awesome!
First of all I am crushed that I waited to long to get this 63. I have wired 7 cars using American Autowire kits. I am by no means wiring expert but these kits are only ones I will buy. Thanks Mortske. Keep finding these gems and I will be quicker on trigger to get one.
Great products!
Nice job getting another one down the road! Thanks for the video, I always look forward to Monday mornings with Mortske. 😊
Our pleasure!
A great job as always Mort. 👍 Happy Labor Day to both you and Duff Dog.
Same to you John!
I’m just glad that there’s guys like you Mr Mortske who finds these gems and helps get them back running and driving. Hopefully she can find someone who is willing to “take it from here” and give her the lovin’ she deserves. Absolutely beautiful car. Thank you sir and always cool to see your Dad pop in for an appearance. 🙂
I sure hope so!
Happy Labor day to everyone in Mortske land.
Coffee with Mortske and Duff. How neat is that?
Isn’t puddin your “special” cousin from the sticks. It so nice that you show up on his channel occasionally and remind him it’s a channel about fixing cars. He tends to forget and starts his dancing 🕺 and adult video intros as he washes his cars 😂 my ADD is bad but poor guy. Anyway thank you for helping him out and bringing the content the way you do.
Algorithms
Lmao yea puddin gets off track sometimes 😅
He's special alright!
The 283 had such a unique sound at idle, it brought back memories of my pal's 1965 Impala I also remember the power brakes it had, that were so strong they would put you through the windshield if you weren't careful. Did a thousand miles on holiday with that car, Cheers
Had a gf with a black 65 2 dr Impala. Thing was a boat. You could raise a small family in the trunk.
@@Hobodeluxe960....I knew a kid in high school that his parents gave him a cream colored convertible '65 SS when he got his driver's license. They bought it
new and always kept it in the garage. I was in high school in the mid 70's ...so it would have been about 10 years old then.
That car was unbelievably clean and straight - it was beautiful ! It was THAT very vehicle that made me love 1965 Chevrolet Impalas !
Thanks for the holiday episode! Glad you can keep the shop!
me too!
I know you posted it a while ago but.....tech tip of the day, raise the rack so you don't have to do the shop towel shuffle when you're cleaning the ramps. Always great things going on at Mortske Repair.
Sweet xframe gold is great color, congrats.
Hey Mortske 🙂 That Olds is gorgeous - never seen one before (idiot Brit here so quite the commute) and now I love ‘em 😎 Kudos for helping your neighbour, you are clearly Good People. Cheers for sharing, always appreciated 🤟🏼
Thanks for watching!
The Impala turned out nice. I kinda like that Oldsmobile too. Big, square two door land barges are cool!!
They sure are!
what a blessing it is to have mojo around him helps you you help him it's a win win have a good labor day nice 63 my friend's father has one when I was a kid in the late sixties he washed it just about every day the build brings back memories thanks mortski
He really carries the place on his back!
For anyone on a budget. The Painless Performance 10101 wiring harness is a great option too. Every wire is labeled and the instruction manual is fantastic.
thanks for the info!
I like a bloke with a proper skillset who’s not above Gerry Rigging a ‘Going To Town Rig’…you’d fit in Down Under…respect.
Nice explanation on the fuses! (Good ta see the local brew -- Leine's -- too!)
I have to admit I had never heard of a Oldsmobile Jetstar. The more you know, thats why we have people like you. You where lucky it was just 2 coils but there are way worse situations like eccentric camshafts and sensors that cost millions. Hopefully the power steering pump got not wiped out working bone dry. Also the annoying cricket is back in the shop LOL.
The Chevy just sounds awesome and feel bad for the new pump that got burned by a accident.
Oldsmobile made the Jetstar 88 (B-body platform with A-body running gear) and the Jetstar 1 (a decontented Starfire)
I personally love to hear the back & forth between you and Puddin'. He loves to give you grief but who did he call when he wanted to get that Model A running? You are both great at what you do and I hope you can keep your shops!
Little bit of everything today, nice.Liked the Letterkenney reference eh
Classic
Got to go finish the last episode. See ya.
I’m back.
I can`t get enough of these 60s vintage Chevys, a fungible asset that gives a joy jab, what could be finer?
It's good to see more of Mojo in this video! After all, Puddin said that he's the guy that does all the work here! Not sure if you caught that in his latest video???😂
Yea he said all the ol ske does is go to auctions 😂😂
yeah, he coulda left out the dog, he didndunuffin! lol
Yep. Grabbed up a Mojocraft dekel with my stuff this time
Last video I watched was an hour of Puddin choosing the paint color for his electrical outlet covers. Thought I was watching an interior decorator show for garages. Weird.
I haven't watched one of his episodes in probably 6 months. It got so repetitive.....used to like watching him
☕Lovn' the '63 vids!!!👍🙂
Mortske, you want to use grease on all orings and seal lips. Transmission fluid will not mix with grease, but Vaseline will. Back when I built transmissions, this is how I did them. I had very few leaks. Gray silicone is ok, but ALL fluid has to be cleaned off. Internal seals in transmission, Vaseline is good.
Nice to have a master mechanic next door. 63 2 dr ht should sell fast. You are so close, I would finish it up to get top dollar.
I am not sure if it was Chin or Mickelson who put the "vroom vroom" over the Puddin pressure washing clip I laughed out loud. Excellent work as always.
Chin doing his finest!
I'm generally not a big fan of the '63's, but that color is sweet on it.
It really is!
@@MortskeRepair you getting the Edsel
63 are the best in my opinion 63 ss 409 dual quads 4 speed 425 hp first car I ever drove 13 years old... bright Red with black interior
Labor day.perfect day for a new video to go with my coffee.
The '64 Oldsmobile Jetstar 1 really caught my attention.. In 1964 I was a nine year old little boy who was really getting interested in cars. My Uncle Kent Sloan, who was a life-long Oldsmobile man, traded in his 1957 Olds 88 two-door hardtop for a brand-- new Jetstar 1. On his way home he brought it over to our house to show it off. I remember it was tan on the outside, with a white interior. Very cool looking car. He owned it for quite a few years. From what I've read about the Jetstar 1 Oldsmobile only offered it for two model years (1964 to 1965). I hope you can get it running and maybe keep it around for a while.
good times!
I like watching backyard carpenters build stuff . Looking forward to your mezzanine. Puddin is meticulous with his building, but he is fun to watch as well.
Keep going on it!
Great video as always. That is awesome of you to help out your neighbor. Happy Labor Day!
we do what we can!
Going to miss seeing the '63 in the shop, but hoping she found a loving home.
Sir Morticus and his trusty loyal dog Duff helping Make Mondays Great Again.
Congratulations on selling that Impala 👏🏽
Duff is a lord. You knew that right?
Thanks!
Great video Impala running good ! Glad the cowboy caddy is back in service ! That olds looks like great project ! Happy Labor Day and take care Duff and Sir !
Same to you!
Nice to see the 63 runnin, nice job Mr Mortske!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I hope you are spending time with your Duff and your family today. Tomorrow is another day! Happy Labor Day to you and your family Mortske Productions! God bless and I hope you have a great steak and enjoy a couple of beers.😊
Thank you! You too!
@@MortskeRepair I hope you had a great day and Duff Mortske too. Your welcome!
@@MortskeRepair and I thank you for sharing that video as the thanks again for your comment reply.
I have an 87 v20 pickup im deleting the tbi and going to carb and trying figure out what wires I keep has been a chore. Painless was out of my budget.
Shouldn't need a new harness unless it's all screwed up. And it's not a hard job to rewire a carb engine. Search youtube im sure it's on here. Good luck with your project 👍
@kwslife116 I'll keep the existing harness, but cleaning up all the now unnecessary wires is tricky for me, multiple people have been in this harness trying to get the truck running. After I figured it out the harness was in such bad shape from being cut into buying an older harness just seemed easier. I'll get it after I swear at it enough lol
Hope you get what you are asking for the old house. A lot of good will it run videos from the old shop plus lawnmower man made Mondays something to look foward to.
I sure hope so as well!
Yes, I have installed three American auto wire kits now. Good stuff.
Definitely help the neighbors! What goes around comes around! Also JACKPOT on the Snap-on mugs....in today's world those are very special....because people don't like that stuff since it hurts "feelings" haha.
hahaha no comment!
Impala is a clean ride. 4 door burn outs are fun!
It’s a two door.
@@kbschulze
I am aware of the Impala. I was mentioning the blue Olds
For the larger air hammers like the central pneumatic one… You’ll most likely be looking for an air chipping hammer or they are also labeled as riveting hammers. Enjoy watching your videos.
was about to comment this, just went down the rabbit hole on ebay. seems like a few different companies built what looks like the same "rivet hammer" or chipper. as well as some that APT (american pneumatic tools) make new it looks like for demolition etc. (APT Model 654-R looks like almost a copy of the old design) Thor, Ingersoll, and CP as well as a few smaller companies looks like they made them back in the day.
Thanks, I'll check it out!
Yup Jet makes a 3" stroke for $654 and 4" for $911 Canadian on Amazon. IR makes one for $883 and there's a China one listed for $210.
Ready for another great video
What, no driving down the road video? Dang. Well, that's a pretty sweet 63, hopefully someone snaps it up....or you keep going on it. Either way, thanks for the Labor Day entertainment, Mortske. Keep up the great work, man!
Nah it's not quite ready for that!
When I help old people I always play it up saying “this is a hard job” or “it took me years to be able to do this quick”. Or I say I specialize in this. That way they don’t feel embarrassed. 12:44
Yeah, I didn't mean to come across like that. Neither did he.
@@MortskeRepair all good.
I wasn’t there. He called you and you helped him out. 👍
Hey putting threw you under the bus he told everybody you don't do nothing you said every car gets fixed your helper does it he told all of his viewers that I know better than that man you're a worker you built that shot from nothing we all watched for years man that's smaller shop you had you built that take care man and just ignore him😮😂
Exactly 💯% correct about the Drive in speaker 🔊
That old Jetstar brings back some great memories. I had a 64 Jetstar four door that had a 330 “ULTRA HIGH COMPRESSION” engine and she ran super good - not real quick but great top end. I hope you put some cragars on her!!!
good times!
Whos still laboring on labor day?
Fixed a failed injector on my 96 silverado 5.7, 3 hr job with parts on hand! No easy task. 👍
I'm surprised that you don't use pipe sealant and replace simple seals. No novice in your shop! I'm surprised that you didn't do it from the beginning and saved the doing it twice!😮😊
I never get tired of you and pudding stirring each other so funny
You see more of that in small towns than you do in City life but people still do help each other that’s cool you do it in Mortske you used to reply to people years ago when I first started watching your show I haven’t heard a word from you, but I am digging your show still keep up the great work my friend.
I still read em all
From what it was to what it turned out to be. Amazing transformation.
That hammer is called a Hell dog I am a retired Iron worker we used them for knocking out rivet's on old structures. Long story short I have to look around might have a extra I will have to see!
Thanks for the info
OH SNAP. You fired the first shot Mr Puddin. Mr Mortske just fired back!!!!
Thanks to You and The (Mighty) Duff Dog for taking the time to put up a video for us to enjoy on Labor Day!
Our pleasure!
Happy Labor Day!
Love the 63 Impala project it is one of my favorite cars from the 60s thanks for saving another classic keep up the great work love watching you do your thing 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks! Will do!
MORTSKE REPAIR,, GREAT VIDEO!!!!!
Thank you, right back at you have a good Labor Day!
Thank you too
I am so glad that this car is sold…what a great start for someone, lots of work left but you are starting with good bones! I hope the buyer sends updates.
Happy Labor Day Mort, Chin, Mojo and Duff!
HEY! Good morning and thumbs UP!!
🖐
I had a 64 impala two door hardtop white with aqua blue interior 327 two speed powerglide just a little bit of rust in the front wheel wells bought it in Montana in 1976 for 500 bucks. Drove it to Texas on retread snow tires. Always loved it. Rebuilt it in 78 and Sold it to buy a Mazda RX seven sports car. It was probably my favorite car. Thanks for bringing back. Great memories.
Glad to see her running well 63 was a great year.
Loving that Oldsmobile...
Impala looks awesome, some one got a peach
Good Morning and Happy Labor Day Mr Mortske and Duff from Alabama
Yes, the early twin I-beams on Ford trucks had king pins at one time.
of course, they started using ball joints. And it had advantages. You could actually do wheel alignments without having to bend the I-beams! And also did not require reaming the bushings any longer. A ball joint press could get the job done.
Seeing that this car is from Joplin, MO made me think of my 1976 Ford F250 that came from Dan Stanley Ford in Joplin. I've got the owner's manual and protect-o-plate. What I wish I knew was how it got to Idaho where I am as I bought it locally. It had a bunch of rust that I replaced with good metal and then painted the patch panels with the finest rattle can that Home Depot had to offer. The truck has a real personality, drives like new, and you'd be amazed at how many compliments I get on it.
Let’s go. Winter in AZ is nice. I work on my car when it’s winter time , due to the heat in the summer time. It can get 115/120 . I was working on my spark plugs today and my exhaust gaskets. The spark plus I came across are the Acdelco R44 spark plugs just due to when my mom was driving the 75 caprice. Last time the car was toned up was 2003.
Right on
Great video Mortske & Duff dog !
Great vid this week Mr. Mortske! I enjoyed the breaks to show us the other things that are going on in Mortske World. Have a great week sir! 🍻😎
same to you!
Enjoyed the picture show 😊
So glad!
You made a great score on that lumber. The color on the 63 is👍👍 growing on me. Happy Labor Day to you and my favorite pupper.
Same to you!
Twin I beams had kingpins till the early/ mid 90s. I'm gonna update my front end to the new dual ball joint set up out of a 94-96 f150 because they have dual ball joints, camber adjustrts and the brake calipers are a bolt mounting style over the hammer in slide pin style.
12:20 had me smiling. Good times. 😊
Super job on your Impala!
thanks!
Looks like mojo has worked on a few cars in his time. Love the channel. The Duff Dog makes a great assistant.
Sure has
Hey Mortske! The painless wiring kits are labeled & color coded, depending on the vehicle you are wiring, a little pricey though....real good of you to help your neighbor!!
I jus love your area that you and duff live ! Farmland is the heart of America ! Plus a great place too retire not Florida .
