  • Nigerians may witness a crash in the price of purchasing Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) popularly known as petrol. This is as recent statements credited to operators of the Dangote Refinery revealed that beginning from May, that’s next month, the refinery will begin the supply of petrol to domestic marketers.
Another effect this will likely have is that Nigeria’s huge dependence on imported petrol would significantly reduce for domestic use.
The refinery began its operations in January and made its first export last month. Just this week, Africa’s largest refinery also began the distribution of diesel and aviation jet fuel to domestic marketers at 1,225 naira per litre causing a drop in the general market price.

Even the Nigerian Politicians are realizing now that with good government , Nigeria will be a beautiful Country to live. Nigeria needs just few things like good Electricity, Good health care, fuel supply and good Infrastructure, and Security. Nigeria problems are not the Government but some of the crook politicians and the political parties that they created. if not for politics these political crooks will be Great kidnappers, Great drug dealers, great Scammers or Robbers. Nigerian political system gave these bad gangs of people refuge to hide and distribute Nigerian national wealth amongst themeselves.

As a senegalese, I love Nigeria. I want Nigeria to lead the continent and hecome the behemoth of Africa. We need a China in Africa. Nigerians have to stop their pessimistic and tribal behavior and supoort their government because they are the government! You can't dissociate yourself from your government because a government is the reflection of its people and the people are the reflection of its government.

After many years of taken so much from Nigeria as the only producers of foodstuffs, cement and other commodities Nigerians will finally get small reward

Enough arrangements are not made for the refinery to get enough crude from the onset. That explains the reason for importing crude.

The capacity of dangote refinery is bigger than Nigeria daily production
The OPEC quota given to Nigeria is also an indrance.

@@abeyscene7308 this is not true. Nigeria currently produce nothing than 1.3m bpd and dangote is just 650k capacity

@@baytudduroos1063 You are correct, the problem is , nigeria already signed contract for that 1.3 million barrrel a day crude with international customers which they are obligued to respect. so we have to produce more to sell to Dangote group.

Diesel at 1,250 is still high. Kenya is dropping prices of their petroleum products despite the fact that they don't have crude oil and largely dependent of import.
Congratulations, but drop price further please
