I am from Turkey and a Fenerbahce fan. Hagi played for Galatasaray for a long while. I was a teenager when he was here. I remember watching his games, impressed by his skills especially long shots. The commentators saying 'Hagi, Hagi Hagi scores again' still sounds in my ears. He was one of the greatest.

Deja aproape nimeni din străinătate nu mai știe cine este Hagi pentru că nu a făcut nimica la nivel internațional. Dar adevărat pentru un Romăn el a făcut cel mai mult. I am/was a Fenerbahce fan and I remember Hagi and some other great Romanian players joined Galatasaray. I never hated Galatasaray but never thought I would enjoy watching them playing great either. Hagi made me watch all Galatasaray matches and secretly be happy for them when they did good. Huge respect and love for the legend.
As a great player , Playing in Italy,Germany Spain or England is too easy to WIN European and International championships...
Messi in Barça , C.Ronaldo in Madrid, Maradona in Napoli ,Platini & Zidane in Juve ... They have great teams,expensive players...
BUT Hagi won The European Championship in 6th league of Europe.

The '94 World Cup was the first I remember watching live from tv and because of that it will always have a special place in my life and memories. So many beautiful moments and I was so glad to see "smaller countries" like Romania and Bulgaria play beautiful football and win games. Hagi and Stoichkov were something phenomenal.
Of course there are few others I will always remember. Like Romario and the italian with the ponytail, Baggio!

Gala time was his best. 4 times champions in a row and UEFA cup / Supercup winners 2000. in the 4 years with Hagi Gala did beat Barca, AC Milan, Real Madrid, and many more. They were the second team ever to win an UEFA cup with 0 losses.

The '94 World Cup was my first, I was 8 years old back then. There were 4 players that caught my eye during that tournament and Gheorghe Hagi probably was the biggest one, the one I followed the most. The other 3 were Romario, Hristo Stoichkov and Roberto Baggio.
I was 8 too ! I also admired the ones you said alongside Brolin, Letchkov, Dahlin, Sirakov and Dino Baggio. I remembered I supported Italy in the final and was sad after their defeat on penalties.

El a avut aceeași privire pe joc și pasele sale frumoase pus echipa sa înainte! Un jucător ca Haji ar onora orice echipă braziliană. Apropo, Runonia din anii 1990, a jucat ca mare echipă braziliană din 1982, iar eu am visat în secret la o finală România - Bulgaria. Asta ar fi fost ornamentul mundialei. Cu respect - salutări din Bulgaria!
