its made as a celler not a bunker (but yes can be used in such .. with more modifications)
Keep in mind there are very few places in the world where the soil is stable enough to make an excavation like his possible or safe. At about five feet or one and one half meters, excavations can easly have a deadly cave in.
What is the best solutions for safely excavating at depths greater than 5 feet?

Я тож смотрел думаю че он там строит подвал обычный. От обычного снаряда гаубичного сложится сразу. Сверху крышку нужно как минимум 1,5 метра делать

@@jayl5032 Dude, the basement is dug in clay. The water permeability of clay is 1.5-2 millimeters per 100 years.
The floor is covered with tiles sealed with a sand-cement mixture.

Good job over all, but I would have constructed it a bit different. Such as the air vent, I would have had it drop to a gravel and sand leach field off away from the side, with a pipe banching off in an upward angle for the air. That way should anyone attempt to flood, or drop down an explosive, it would bypass the bunker. I would also have two air vents, both of which could be closed, from inside the bunker. Just things like that.
The ventilation is not because he does not know how to ventilate the bunkers, but because this is not a bunker at all, but a cellar for potatoes. The author of the channel deceived you, pathetically calling the cellar a bunker.

I saw something on CZcams about painting rebar, it's important, everybody got to do that.every basement has to have a sub pump,,or you will come back to a swimming pool, some would say you need to burn lights 24/7 to keep the mold off the walls, maybe put some heat in it,if you have a high water table you put in a above ground swimming pool, the in ground doesn't work,it will fail badly, doesn't matter how strong you build it,he worked hard on that, looks good 😊
Steel in concrete with correct cover can not oxidize. Waterproofing agent in concrete keeps water out. 2 pot water stop brushed on inside walls. Sub pump lower than floor to drainage pipe.
You need to look up Colin Furze and his undergarden/bunker system. He is currently adding an underground garage with car lift for his Delorean. All while surrounded on all sides by close in housing. Mental!
Nice work man. Only problem with roof too thin, it will collapse when dirt will soak rain water and 10-20” of snow follows, installing shoring columns will definitely be a good idea. Otherwise be very careful.

@@randallsmerna384 Yep needs 16mm bars closer centres(100mm both ways) x double cage, 250mm thick.. And mpa of concrete should be 30mpa. minimum. Or put less dirt on top.
Получится так, что если придет необходимость воспользоваться этим укрытием, человек окажется далеко от него, либо вообще не успеет добежать... Так что по сути получился погребок для хранения солений, только очень дорогой)
далеко это если ты у тещи на блинах. Погреб почему в конце участка делают? Если дом сгорит, или развалится, будет куда укрыться. И где перекантоваться, и запасы там. А если подвал в доме, то может и замуровать, и дымом задушить. Да и очевидно зачистить сначала подвальное помещение. Ну и мародеры искать будут в подвале.

Хорошо. Но выходов должно быть два. И второй выход можно будет использовать как аварийную вентиляцию, если вентиляционную трубу повредит. Вход надо маскировать. Этот вход с дрона будет сразу опознан как вход в бункер. Лучше
вход основной сделать чтобы выглядел как уличный туалет - маскировка.

Это погреб для хранения соленьев-кореньев. Вентиляция нужна для отвода углекислого газа который выделяют коренья при хранении и брожении капустка, грибочки...

Cool. Thank you for sharing. The only thing I would do different is use a different material for the pipe just in case there is fire outside, the pipe won't melt.
Also the possibility of a very hot 400MPH wind if you are too close to a blast.
A large bunker is for prep & survival. A small bunker like that has real creepy energy.
It's not about the energy that we want. We want the practical use from it.

@@user-pe2ef2gs9h Нет дренажа, нет нормальной вентиляции, нет простейшего санузла даже... Перечислять можно долго. Суть в том, что бункер подразумевает жизнь в нём какое-то продолжительное время без доступа на поверхность. А на видео обычный погреб для картохи и солений.
Можно конечно переждать в нём какой-нить непродолжительный погодный каприз, но не более того. И то вопрос с дренажом опять же...

Very nice! Good and interesting video production as well. Definitely had the advantage of perfect soil conditions. Virtually no rocks and mainly sand, with just the right amount of loam, to keep the sides from collapsing during construction. When not being used as a shelter, it should make a very functional root cellar for food storage as well. 👍

An incredible amount of work for this well engineered project. I hope he poured a base for a Column Roof support. Vent should have an additional 90° on it with screen. Oh for a Concrete Pump tuck and Mixer service.
Looks nice. It would probably be full of water around here. I'd have a second air pipe for cross ventilation. That pipe fan won't pull any air unless you leave the door open also.
He has done this, there is a video on his channel where he shows everything and explains how he monitors the temperature inside the cellar. It's in Russian

It's perfect but the pipes sticking out the ground should be disguised or hidden. In a war situation you want to keep you and your provisions completely safe from looters and enemy soldiers.

Excellent observations. I'm constantly being harassed by looters and enemy soldiers in my bunker. It's getting so bad I'm thinking of moving back into the house with the wife and kiddies a stone throw away. It'd be nice to have plumbing, heat, a stove and a fridge again. And of course a bit of slap and tickle with the Mrs again 😉😉😜😜

Wonderful job. I would have done just a couple things different. Build a 90 degree turn into the entrance for radiation protection and put a slight peak in the concrete roof so that water runs off of it, even just a couple inch slope to the center peak would help the concrete last. But it is a beautiful project and I'd like to see more from that contributor.
It is storage for potatoes and pickles. Owner did not intended it as any sort of shelter. It is just click bait title as always.

I’d be careful I didn’t notice any water drainage for your floors or walls. Over time the concrete will absorb the water & possibly crumble. I’m not sure how much it rains where your at. It don’t take much though. Older houses have this problem in there basement.

There are already three jerks here who have said that this is a cellar. No, the cellar should have at least two doors with a vestibule. And this is the sub-floor.
And, yes - it's not a shelter. Each shelter must have a second exit.

Вы, простите, погребом пользовались? Он для того, чтобы банки-склянки носить туда-сюда. По такой лестнице с тарой вообще не побегаешь))). Для погреба эта лестница не годится.

Отсутствие электричества, воды и грязный воздух вообще проблемой не будут в первую очередь, будут проблемы пострашнее - мародеры и разные отморозки с оружием, то есть разного рода менты и военные которым твоя рожа просто не понравится, или очень понравится твоя жена, или твой пакет с консервами.....

Depends on. If you buy concrete it is more expensive, but it is quicker as well. You dig the hole with a small shovel or with a phat excavator .......
This is not a bunker but a vegetable pit. The author of the video is from Russia. We make special vegetable pits to store vegetables in winter.
The more money you have and choose to spend, the less time it will take!

@@cquilty1 Happily I am those things. Studied soils and worked construction for a few years too. Crumbly but not disturbed soil. I would def be terracing or sloping my excavations. Stuff happens and sometimes very quickly too..

Im doing the exact same thing except Im constantly running into stone I have to break up with a spud bar ive been trying to get my hole dug for about 9 months. Also injured both shoulders in the process which had me leave the project till I was healed.

Good job! I would just add a funnel to air pipe so it is not exposed to birds and dust, also grass on the top of the shelter as a camouflage... although I don't see any reason for that shelter to be targeted

Is there a formula or calculation on how thick the roof needs to be for certain depths or weight it must support? His roof looked flat, should there be a curve or thickness difference to support weight so no support pillars are needed?

But question; how do you keep water from seeping into the bunker? Natural earth has a certain amount of groundwater in it... so by seepage it could get some to go through in some areas of the country, or places with high water tables. Is there a way to prevent this, so you can still do this idea?
