Russ is an inferior MJ, who needs a coach who can implement a working system and have Russ buy into that, just like Phil Jackson did with MJ. Had him do less by himself. But on top of that you had a system that worked with that group of guys. Seems those guys have a point about Oklahoma being small market, so you should hang on to a superstar who draws in the crowd. Just that, you should come up with some adjustments going forward. Otherwise you'll somewhat waste your superstar.

That's exactly where to start and like you say - even if it doesn't work out you have to try it and I can't imagine it to be worse than what we've seen this year in terms of coaching while there's a good chance it's gonna be (much) better.

And every time he handed Kyrie the ball Kyrie wasn't just going one on one. There were plenty of times Kyrie would bring the ball up and they would run a play. Do you know how many times LBJ got ally oops early in the shot when both Wade and Kyrie brought up the ball? You could clearly see the difference from their first to third year playing. Lbj would give kyrie the ball and then call a play as he came up the court. In the third year ypu could see that kyrie was calling alot more plays when he brought the ball up.

Kai Kawasumi Horford is no all star. He was an alternate after like 4 guys went down. He is a slightly above average player if that. Hayward is going to take a lot of time away from at least one of those future all stars. Kyrie has been hurt on and off his entire career. Also the Celtics don’t have anyone near KD or Stephs level.
