      @Johenz Před 4 lety +2

      today tmrrw 42% for an nba player is terrible bro. That’s inefficient for a professional nba player. The worse teams in the nba are shooting 43% from the field. Steph curry, Kevin’s Durant, Larry bird all had season shooting similar % from the 3 as iverson shot from the entire field. Iverson played most of his career without hand checking, hand checking was taken out in the 03-04 season, iverson retired in 2010. Lack of Handchecking didn’t change his career, his scoring didn’t change much per 100 position, what changes season to season was his usage rate. And his highest scoring season he had a negative plus/minus. And that’s the definition of inefficient. Scoring 33 ppg and having little impact on the games. What got iverson to become irrelevant was his lack of team contributions and all about his numbers. Nba team also started to lean towards more efficiency and iverson was becoming a huge liability, a 18 ppg score with a negative plus/ minus

      @Mr Apocalypse That only works if you don't use context and generalize the numbers. Garbage teams(that play no defense and have inflated stats due to the ruleset changes to the NBA) playing against even worse team in their own conference may or may not equate to better 'standings'. That doesn't necessarily account to their percentages against teams outside of their conference. Scheduling also needs to be taken into account. It's why people argue that the Cavs have the easiest SCHEDULE every season. They play against lottery teams and can barely get 50 wins. The east might have 1 or 2 teams each season that can realistically compete for a championship. Almost every team that makes the playoffs in the west can win a ring.

    For once,thank you Eddie house! NO ONE with Allen iverson’s size & skill has dominated the nba such as he has......it kills me when ppl bring up Kobe,lebron,kd,curry,Wade, & melo when it comes to them being a better player than Allen iverson at HIS HEIGHT

    Allen Iverson carried the largest offensive load of any team to reach the NBA Finals in the shot-clock era. Excluding Iverson, the 2001 Sixers averaged 60.3 PPG in the 22 Playoff games that Iverson played. No other team to reach the NBA Finals has had less PPG outside of their leading scorer.

    Its similar but Id give the nod to Iverson….it was his run that made me fall in love with basketball…..those game 7s vs the Raptors and Bucks…..and then came out and punched the Lakers in the mouth in game 1…..when I went to sleep after game 1 I really thought Iverson was going to win a chip….he only got 1 game in that finals but that was enough to cement his legacy.

    Regarding why A.I.'s Philadelphia team won 56 games that year, it probably had a ton to do with them being in the top 5 in defense, free throw attempts, and rebounding, including 2nd best in offensive rebounding percentage.

    Hand checking was banned after the 03-04 season, so yeah it was legal to be more physical then it is now. Reebok made an AI injury commercial highlighting his major injuries. LeBron has not had nearly the amount of injuries that Iverson had during the 10-year span in the video. That is not only because of his size but because the NBA is less physical than it was.

      And he would be allowed to be a bully on defense as well. Tf is wrong with everyone. In what imaginary reality do you apply hand checking to LeBron's defenders but forget that if LeBron was handchecking dude's he would probably have 5 steals and 3 blocks a night leading to crazy transition scoring.

    Iverson was on a team with defensive players that average under 10 pts. Everybody knew where the ball was going to and he still did what he did. Iverson is a beast if he played in today's NBA he would've had 6 straight 50pt+ games.
