    How the line up should be:
    PG - Westbrook
    SG - Bazemore/Monk
    SF - Bazemore/Ariza
    PF - LeBron
    C - AD
    LeBron should be able to operate in the mid to high post more while playing off the ball. Bazemore/Monk/Ariza should provide some spacing (not sure how much) for Westbrook/LeBron/Ad to operate. Ad man's the weak side or plays out of the P'n'R or the big-to-big screen with LeBron down low.
    Will Westbrook be able to actually play an efficient pg role? Will LeBron be able to consistently remain effective off the ball? Will the Lakers have enough consistent shooting? These are the questions with this lineup in particular.

    Wiley got everything right, except Russ is going be running the point and be the 3rd scorer. They want his assists to stay at 9-12, and his points to stay around 18-20. With him not having to work so much on offense, he should put that Beastbrook energy on defense.
    Also, LeBron, THT, and Nunn are running with Russ on the fastbreak.

    What they missed is Lakers also got monk. now Russ, Bron, AD, Monk any 2 of them in a fastbreak is killer. Not to mention malik is in his early 20s and shot 40% from 3 last year.
    I like where they are going. And defense is more of a team game than one guy doing it all. Remember 2014 spurs? Old AF their best lineups would have danny green, kawhi , manu/parker, diaw and duncan. Outside of Kawhi none of them was a great athlete. So it's more about the culture that the team instills than their age

  • @garybernales1211
    @garybernales1211 Před 2 lety

    The defense should be less of a concern than offense. No team practices defending more than scoring. Yes, the Lakers defense was very well last season, but their very poor offense made them work harder every game. In a condensed schedule, this added fatigue took a toll on their bodies and eventually resulted in injuries. Having a better offensive arsenal and a decline in defense is more ideal and practical.
