    I've just opened my timing case, removed sump, did the chain, tensioner guides and all, spent over 1000 dollars on needing help from a mechanic, now my car has metal shavings and its worst than before, the car whines loud, shakes and hesitates and after any rev past like around 2k rpm, it makes a funky noise.
    I'm so upset, spent money I didn't have to get this done, and now I see you did the timing that easily, I feel like crying, amazing work on your part but I have no understanding of how to do it that way,

      I think the cam gear is fucked and I have no idea how to do it your way, if I did I'd be at it, is there any other video that explains how to do it in better detail? Thanks !

      Hi there, I'm sorry for what happened to your car and I am really hopping that the following video helps you adjust the timing properly if your car is any model of Hyundai or KIA:

      Hi my friend, Yes, when you are adjusting the timing you must make sure the top marks are aligned. A very small misalignment can cause a big problem on the engine.

    What are the symptoms to have the vvt gear changed?

    • @AutomotiveDiagnosis
      @AutomotiveDiagnosis  Před rokem +2

      Engine hesitation normally when gets warm, VVT sound when engine cold, P0011 to P0024 fault code, it can cause misfire and poor power as well.

    Can you tell me why my elantra a shuts off when it goes over 1500 rpm and it happen everytime vvt exhaust is connected otherwise everything is fine

    • @AutomotiveDiagnosis
      @AutomotiveDiagnosis  Před rokem +1

      Hi there, there seems to be a faulty VVT solenoid. Sometimes when VVT solenoid if faulty, it rotates the VVT to the maximum position ( in exhaust side to max advance), so when engine is warmed up, maximum advance is just too much for the engine and specially in 4 cylinder engines (like yours), engine can not take that condition and it will go off.

    • @acrocheezefpv
      @acrocheezefpv Před rokem

      @@electricsanti4518 well my issue was my car kept stalling. I recently switched to 5w 30 and car was running fine with it. But on Wednesday i added in the oil a engine cleaner which was thick. At first i didnt know that was the issue after i spent $200 to replace a bad battery which was my first assumption of my car stalling, still it stalled. Then i bought a coil for $100 and a spark plug, car still stalled. After much research i figured it was a camshaft postion sensor. I ordered that which should be in today. However, when i woke up this morning, i started thinking that the engine cleaner i put it was too thick combined with the 5w30, which was making my engine overheat and overworking. So since the oil was more think, it couldnt move fluently within the engine and other parts to keep the engine running. So i bought some new 5w20 oil and a filter. After draining then refilling, car sounded a whole lot better and i drove for multiple hours at low speeds and highspeeds to try and trigger a stall and nothing happened. So my issue was the engine cleaner. Anxiety??? idk what that is lol 😆
