Nadia calm down!!! I work for the NHS and go to work everyday!! Germs are everywhere! Even in your own home you are all spreading it, going in the car etc!! Some exposure is healthy to build immunity and prevent big spikes in the future!! Becoming OCD will help no one! Sensible but not extreme!

I agree as long as people are just home there is absolutely no need for being overhygienic, if no one in the house is carrying the virus it can not affect them at all, it is not a airborn virus so it can not get inside the house by itself.
You can get lots of tidying done if you have to stay indoors it’s very calming

freaking out with family who look up to you around you, is terrible. calmness whilst being sensible... its just common sense, if you go outside,come in, wash your hands, coat,shoes off.. and no shouting or lecturing other people,its not needed at all.

McDonalds Farmer I wasn't going to comment. I have an extremely happy fun loving family and I am very lucky! I just think sometimes people need to stress less and take things as they are! We don't need to give everyone unnecessary anxiety. We all need to do what it takes to stay safe and make the best of it. I am an optimist not a pessimist and I enjoy life as much as anyone. I am certainly not panicking but just getting on with it and have a glass of wine!'
Saskia Guy I actually don't subscribe I just come across them occasionally as it would do my head in to hear this all the time! It doesn't seem like comedy to me just hysteria. I prefer a more chilled vibe but hey ho!
McDonalds Farmer I actually have a glass of wine in my own home and not infecting anyone. I have cancelled trips that I should have been going to this week and not stockpiling! I am being responsible and as I have 96 and 91 year old parents I am looking after them too! I am very aware of the risks and am taking All the precautions that have been advised. Hopefully you are doing the same! I still don't have to panic!

My anxiety has been through the roof the past week. It has manifested in a physical way rather than me thinking about it. My whole entire body is in pain with muscle cramps which is how I react to stress and anxiety. I have been in tears and trying to hold it together for my husband and daughter. This morning I sat down and watched this and it made me cry, but with laughter. I felt my pain wash away for the first time in a week. Thank you for keeping me going! You don’t know how much your posts, everyone of them, help me, and all of the wonderful community that follow you. Thank you xxxx

Thank God, this week, the UK have started implementing measures to slow the spread. Many experts were arguing the herd immunity decision, saying it would completely overwhelm hospitals as so many would catch the virus so quickly. To be honest, the herd immunity measure seemed a to have a hint of economy preservation to it, in my opinion. Sending love from isolation in Ireland!

i am on day 4 of self isolating with my 2 boys and if u was in my house being the way you are now u would of sent me insane i love watching u guys but i think nadia u need to chill a bit more xx Mark that is what my son said he heard about the herd immunisation and its all too much for me i know i need to know but too much is too much for me x just stay safe xx

I’ve had that chest tightness an pseudo cough. I’m just being careful. Staying in the rest of the week, not because I have to, just taking care of my mental health. I’ll be taking walks as much as I can X

The thing is with Valium it works one or 2 times then you need more because it doesn’t work as well as the first 2 times! Highly addictive and I take um for anxiety but only when I’m really bad because after a few times I don’t feel that chilled out feeling! Plus I’m on strong betablockers for my heart everyday 😟
Also it causes rebound anxiety which is not good , the Drs hate giving it out . It also causes withdrawal anxiety , benzos .

FYI- In US . Amazon Fresh has stopped deliveries from their food pantries. New York is on the brink of sheltering in place . We have got to stay strong , follow safety instructions and hope for the best. We will prevail.

Something positive though. My mother in laws school have extended their school club hours so that grandparents don’t have to collect the kids. The children can stay until their parents can collect them. They aren’t charging for this either. I’m sure it will take so much stress off parents! X

I’ve been watching Shaun Attwod’s CZcams videos on Coronavirus. I agree with him, the UK is going to be overwhelmed because they didn’t lock down quick enough. I’m honestly not trying to scaremonger. You have to self-isolate as far as possible whether you’re having symptoms or not

I would have thought that the Gov need to push out the testing kits. Just so we all know where we are. Is that fair?
It's the time they take to process in lab as the quick tests have been shown to cause false negatives which obvs are more scary that false positives. So the machines can only test so many at a time... They're trying to speed up the system.
China found they'd had the same issues with the quick tests and so brought in doing CT scans. However giving each poorly person a CT scan means they'd have to deep clean the scanner b4, after each scan and allow to dry etc etc. So challenging re testing. Each country is having similar challenges so more people have Covid 19 and mildly affected or asymptomatic so I think we need testing for Covid 19 and antibodies testing for specific Covid 19 immunity... if and when that's a reality... before lift restrictions
Been back to work today after a week and half off on holiday leave. Looks like we’ll be shutting soon but talks are for us to maybe help other large stores such as Asda and Morrison’s. I’ve heard the army are coming back over who’ve been deployed from people at work. X

They are not doing the heard imunity that was said in the cobra meeting then questioned that is not happening now.the guidance is changing daily.

The thing that worries me about the herd immunity route is that when it was used before there was a vaccine to use if necessary. A bit like when we were kids and our mum wanted us all to catch measles together to get it over with. We had vaccines and knew it wasn't too serious. We are now in the 'unknown'. That's why people are afraid because no one knows the correct way to approach this.

Hello my husband & I are in Lockdown in Spain. My husband has COPD and I’m beside myself wanting to keep him safe. We are in our apartment which is roomy and have a large terrace. I don’t know what to do whether to try & get back to the U.K or just stay in isolation in Spain?? Anxious!!
