Kinda makes me wonder. How did Aegon treat with these kings, really. Obviously some he melted but others have stories where he just "walked up". How many of those are real. Or is Daemon's style just an example of how unfit he is for politics. He's running around like Jason Bourne while the threat of a thousand deaths flies overhead. He should just be able to say hello, like in some of the Aegon stories. Or maybe thats naivety.

@michaelyohanes2782 because, like Harrenhal, most of Elden's structures are abandoned ruins, and that's literally what Harrenhal is, not to mention the dark atmosphere that the place gives, with a lone knight in beautiful armor and a sword held in two hands, and it's worth mentioning both works were created in the story part by GRRM, and in Elden there are references to Game Of Thrones so... why not the other way around?

its a strategic position, but its expensive to maintain.
Daemon: "I claim Harrenhal"
Lord of Harrenhal: "Yes, please take it! Could you maybe reward me with a Castle that is ANYWHERE BUT HERE?"

This entire scene of Daemon going through Harrenhal made me think of the asylum in Dark Souls 1.
Why did no one ever REPAIR harrenhall the castle is a DUMP
