Daemon makes it so obvious. This is the most quiet he’s ever been at a meeting
seriously. the one moment where he shuts up is the loudest he’s ever been
@@sandraxomichelle93Daemon: So... Hear me out...
Ehh he said he only said Aemond but who knows maybe he lied maybe he told the truth
Matt's face during this scene is just hilarious
...and that oops my bad shrug as well as he's trying to Innocently explain his way out of this 😂
Right? Cracks me up how slowly he looks over at her 😂
Daemon is good at many things...looking innocent is definitely *not* one of them.🤣🤣
Gotta admire Rhaenys in this scene. She gives Daemon one stare _ and knows right away that he did it.
Then she says “Mind yourself”, seemingly to the courtier, Sir Alfred _ but she says it still staring at Daemon.
I was sceptical when he was first cast for this role, but he is absolutely killing it. Matt Smith is HoTD what Peter Dinklage was to Game of Thrones.
Her acting is so good at that brief moment. She is looking to her husband for a bit of a reassuring look or comfort when shes upset and Daemon is off in his own head revelling at his dark deeds. She knows him too well and just does a double take. So good.
Emma desperately wants to not be hot but she might as well give up....
@@verycool2050Her targaryen get up vastly enhances her attractiveness. Similar to Emilia Clarke. I don't know why those platinum wigs makes these actors way hotter than they actually are.
@@verycool2050 Cringe. how do you know what they want or don't want anyway.
You can't be serious. She drags this show to the bottom of an ocean with her terrible acting and uncharismatic personality.
@@v.hamilton5679 lol I can’t possibly take your opinion seriously. Your acting could use some work. ;)
Rhaenyra:I would never do it, trust me plz😭
Daemon:🗿
The more Rhaenyra denies it the more guilty she looks.
0:16 the death stare of rhaenys is priceless
She doesn’t even have to think about it. She knows EXACTLY who would be this fucking stupid.
Daemon would eat her alive

You believe she knew?
@@Dani-id6xc She didn’t even have to think about. She knew EXACTLY who would be this stupid.

Rhaenyra is a terrible teacher.
Gotta admire Rhaenys in this scene. She gives Daemon one stare _ and knows right away that he did it.
Then she says “Mind yourself”, seemingly to the courtier, Sir Alfred _ but she says it still staring at Daemon.
@@codered2216 She was incredibly dumb to marry Daemon.
Sir Alfred for hand of the queen.
lmaoooo
@@Infernal460 Well, leaving aside their personal feelings, there was a certain amount of politics to it.
Viserys put her in a *very* weak position by marrying her to Laenor, who couldn't produce heirs. Her kids by him were being derided all over the realm as "Strong boys" _ i.e. illegitimate.
Marrying Daemon ticked a few boxes: firstly, he was the King's brother; secondly, he had a fearsome reputation; thirdly, her kids by him could not have their legitimacy questioned.
Everyone talks about Rhaenyra finding out it was Daemon. Rhaenys was the first person who knew it was him. She’s known him the longest and knows him better than anyone else. It also shows Rhaenyra has a blinded view of Daemon as it took her a while.
I mean she clocked him about 5 minutes after Rhaenys so it wasnt 'awhile' but i get you
While there is a saying love can be blind
Or in this case just making a bit difficult to connect the dots
It was only 30 seconds later. Before that she was distracted defending herself that’s all. Your post makes no sense.
0:43 - Emma sitting down: I'm glad I made myself clear. Them thinking I'd do something like this. Right, Daemon... why tf are you looking like that?
😂😂😂😂
She had Skyler White with Walter White moment. ''No, we don't do that... That's not who we are! ... right?''
Daemon: ''Hmm? Oh! Uh, yeah no, yeah no... no she's right.''
0:17 - Rhaenys: "Yo-u stupid M Fer..." (doesn't let up stare)
0:21 - Daemon: (just sitting there like it's his first day of 4th grade class) "I'm here to learn."
Daemon: 😏😏
"By the gods a child has been killed"
Daemon: Oh no, who would do such a thing? 😏😈
Daemon literally ruined Rhaenyra’s reputation
She already ruined her reputation when she started to give birth to all her bastards. Ordered Daemon to kill/beheaded Vaemond Velaryon and fed her dragon Syrax, his carcass.
@@Silentpixel2024 It really annoys me how people think she can rule when her reign would be unstable. She’s had bastards, married the man who she replaced as heir and ignores her duties.
@@jjs1300000
Ignored duties of mourning, marriage to daemon was the best bet move and who cares about her children’s father, she is the Targaryen, her blood matters not the father
And her husband allowed her to take lover, and beheading was more like a suicide
@@Silentpixel2024
Vaemond seemingly got tired of living, he even tried to pass over his nieces, man was a fool
@@jjs1300000 Marrying Daemon (we are talking the show only) was the correct move at that point. Conflict was inevitable, and it was one of the best ways to secure legitimasy. Marrying another Targ, a dragonrider and a renowned knight.
It killed a lot of the discussions regarding her sons, as the next are undoubtable true blooded targs. It also gives her dark sister, one of the heirlooms.
Now if we look at her political decisions before that, then much can change in the analysis.
And if we take in the book information, then even more would, as Daemon was the kingmaker of his brother.
I loved Rhaenys in this scene. Her hitting Daemon with that accusatory death glare, and his shy and guilty side eye. She KNEW Daemon was the culprit, she didn't have proof but she knew. Even when she told that man to "mind yourself" she still didn't stop stare at Daemon.😂
You’re right, but she really meant that “Mind yourself” for Daemon (as he well knew), even though everyone took it as being for Ser Alfred.
At least, that’s how I took it.
She will deal with him" Eventually" and it won't be pretty !
He said “a son for a son” to her earlier the previous episode, that was enough proof for her to

I wonder how many takes they did with this scene
Wasn’t the first time he lowkey tried to ruin her reputation *cough* brothel grooming incident *cough*
Yeah it's 1000% intentional on his part, all because he wasn't ever going to be named heir, otherwise he might would've moved accordingly
@@leelohaskin7941 Huh? The first one WAS intentional, the second one was just his stupidity and arrogance
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849I think it was less arrogance and more hindsight. He didn't stop to think about the fall out, nor did he think that the greens would play the cards they did.
He did that when he decided to marry his own niece
Everyone are eager to hate Ser Criston Cole, and rightly so.
But Daemon is just as bad, if not worse a character.
He is arrogant, reckless and cynical, guilty of several crimes, and driven by his own impulsive thoughts and needs.
A groomer.
Criston is a whole saint close to him. He didn't kill no wife cowardly, he didn't decapitate a child even more cowardly, he didn't betray the trust of a brother who loved him so dearly and of a niece he claims to love by exposing her completely and almost disgracing her. But apparently none of that matters the bias towards the blacks has no limit
@@manuellarodrigues4386 Cristen became bitter tho.....hes crimeless on a technicall level but has lost his innocence a long while ago.
He's done worse than Cole, but he's better than Cole because we see him have a loving relationship with his 1st wife and his daughters, and we also see him struggle with his guilt later on. Cole isnt even that bad, he shows care for Aegon. The true villain is the clubfoot, for taking the initiative to murder his family for his own ambition, nobody else did that.
I 100% believe he intended for Jaehyras to be killed if Aemond was not found.
He was smirking the entire time and was all smug about it until Rhaenyra got mad, then all the sudden, he was like, "Umm...my bad."
Lol true. He knew what he was doing, especially since blood and cheese said "the prince said a son for a son." Which is why he couldn't answer when she asked him what he ordered them to do if Aemmond couldn't be found. I'm not mad at him for doing what he did, I'm just sad it was Helaena of all people that ended up being hurt the most.
Well this has been changed from the books anyway. Daemon always meant for one of aegon sons to be killed and didn’t instruct his men to kill aemond. Also they asked halaena to choose which son would die in the books
Lol, do you really think Blood and Cheese could kill Aemond, even if they wanted to? Aemond defeated Ser Criston, I don't think there's any Gold Cloak in KL who can beat Ser Criston. Daemon isn't a fool, he has intended to kill Jaehaerys.
@@Papaty25 I think the intention was for Blood and Cheese to take Aemond by surprise, possibly killing him in his sleep. Not to face him in a one-on-one duel.
@@MrMisterBatman You know, you can't really enter someone's chambers cuz there are guards. In the books this entire sequence is different. B&C waited for Halaena in Alicent's room.
Rhaenyra was looking at daemon like “Can you believe this Daemon? It’s absurd who would do such a….say sike right now.”
Daemon: “hmmm????”
I like that it did not even cross her mind till she looked at daemon, her first look was that of endearment then it quickly changes to "no you didn't"
Bro didn’t even TRY to hide it 😭
Fr real, dude's enjoying it bit too much 😭
"Why didn't my wife accept the dead child as a token of my love?" 😭😢
0:16 Oh Rhaenys, how we miss you
Daemon is like a dragon and Rhaenyra his rider 😅, which is why she cannot fully control Daemon.
She was groomed by him from young age, if there is anyone who can control him, it's not her. He fancies her but he also has other women some of whom he has genuine feeling for. She is a half Queen, but even her father, a peak power King could not control him.
If there is a woman who could earn respect from Daemon, it would be someone with honor and grace like Rhaenyra, too bad she is old.
@aclock2 Rhaenys, you mean. 😅 He is married to Rhaenyra.
I think you're right. He could have been heir. His brother didn't trust him in the end.
Rhaenys always knows her place.
She had rhe right to burn the throne room down in the beginning but she already washed her hands off the whole throne business so she left. After all, she would say her cousin proclaimed a different heir on separate occasions so she doesn't recognise this one.
She would also be considered Kinslayer maybe since Rhaenyra's response to the crowning was a letter to her stepbrothers and sweet sister Helaena.
That business witb beheading her Nephew might cause the small folk to NEVER recognise her as Queen. EVER 😗
Dude....she told him about himself and he got pissed. He did groom her. She aint wrong.
*Dudete* ... she was more than willing, she cant play the missled girl.
She knew what she was buying when she married Daemon. A murderer, a killer of men, a leader.
@@Infernal460 he did groom her. He paid alot of extra attention to her. He knew she was gonna be made heir...his motives were not exactly pure.
@@deannas2778 Laynor would still be her husband if she wanted it to be so.
Yes Daemon is not pure. That's 99% of westeros.
He also married her much later, when she wanted the same thing. And now he's out there fighting a war for her, and spoilers, its one he gives his life to try and win. He's not a good man by any means but he does what he does for the people he loves, first for his brother and then for his now wife. Its only later when Rhaenyra really starts to lose her mind that he seemingly strays with Nessie, and even then he still gives his life over the gods eye to remove the most dangerous piece to the cause so that his wife can sit the throne.
I find this argument between rhaenyra and Daemon hilarious. Rhaenyra said " I took this as a challenge", she honestly thought she could change Daemon? 😂. She also said " I've never trusted you wholly", then why marry him? She is an idiot. And people tell me that rhaenyra would be a intelligent ruler 🙄
0:17 0:48 I love the death glare that Rhaenys and Rhaenyra give Daemon. If some bloody shit has happened, it'd be safe to assume that it's Daemon.
Two powerful she-dragon glaring at the male
Its the fact Daemon can't help be have the smirk of an asshole that kills me 😅🤣.
Daemond sitting there like “damn who would do such a thing”
rhaenys staring daemon down and him taking five business days to acknowledge her was so fucking funny 🤣
Rhaynara is looking gooood this season
I know right!! They so pretty this season
Not gonna lie-I cackled when Rhaenys read Daemon like a book, and while I laughed at Rhaenyra putting two and two together herself, I was also saddened to see her expression go from searching for support and reassurance to “I know you didn’t fuckin murder a child!”.
I don’t know why this is so hard for everyone. Daemon doesn’t want to rule, he wants to be the hand of the king. His brother wouldn’t do it. Rhaenyra wants to make all of the decisions. The reason for a hand is to do the things a king can’t or won’t. Daemon wanted to do this for his brother who was weak in many ways. He tried to do it for her. Both of them couldn’t see that daemon had evil in him, and used it against his enemies, not them.
For real my friend. Like now, all it's Daemon faults. Daemon saw how weak Viserys was and where that led him to. He doesn't want Rhaenyra to follow the same path
Well said. That was symbolized beautifully in s1e8 when he puts the crown on Viserys and in the next scene as he draws his dagger Daemon acts as an extension of his hand to decapitate Vaemond. Whole scene was a masterpiece honestly. Also ironically.. Daemon is by far the most fit to rule out of the whole bunch with their claims. And it's probably eating at him that he has to witness the downfall of the greatest dynasty at the time because he had to give up his claim to more incompetent people. More or less..
@@TheSLashera couldn't have said it better. Rae was no true queen nor leader. More less Aegon. Viserys really left a huge mess before going
😂 Daemon is hilarious his expression.
0:53 Daemon was like
"Heheheheh they are talking about me"
Rhaenyra looking at Daemon with that realization like “Ffs husbuncle 🙄”
LOL "husbuncle"
I feel like this argument wouldve gone over smoother if Daemon knew how to apologize. He made explanations, excuses, and seemed to regret what he did slightly, even still, Rhaenyra didn't need explanations or excuses. She needed an apology from her husband.
Indeed but she will never get them not because he doesn't regret his decision but because that's not his character to say sorry. He's like that. As his nickname says, Rogue. He doesn't show his emotions to others. That will make him look weak. The nightmare he is having at Harrenhal shows how much he regrets many of his past decisions
The bastard didn't apologize for making a joke over Viserys' son dying by calling him 'The Heir for a Day'.
Her or anyone expecting him to apologize or be a decent human being is deluding themselves.
@@riyadislam3441 He had no attachment to Viserys' son. Different situation.
@@BaelfyreWtf so your brother’s son dies and you’re telling me it’s no big deal, cause there’s no attachment to the kid….what about the attachment to your brother???
Emma D'arcy is amazing. She's made Rhaenyra lovable in a way she really wasn't in the printed story.
emma d'arcy uses they/them pronouns
The war at this point is nothing but an epic battle. She’s lost the politics. Daemon is gonna get gate kept even more from brutal tactics.
Lol Daemon trying so hard not to laugh at his actions
That smug smirk on his face gets me every time 🤣
I think it goes to show how much of a trash human being he is
0:53 that GD smirk kills me every time 😂😂😂
I love that stare Rhaenys gave to Daemon feeling that he has something to do with it.
That smug ass grin he had in the council meeting before she yelled at him was priceless. Didn't even try to hide it. And somehow only Rhaenyra and Rhaenys noticed. 😂
I don't think only they noticed, but the show skips over loads of stuff. In the latest episode the river lords blame him specifically for the baby killing.
@@lulupomegranate I meant at that table specifically, but yeah. I need to watch that river lord scene again, I missed some of what was said.
Lmao I love daemons facial expressions during this scene like....yeahhh yeah it was me
2 actors at the top of their game you can enjoy the scenes multiple times
2:22 - 2:35 I love this moment because the last time they were alone, he choked her. This time, Daemon hesitated to approach and touch her. Not sure if he was afraid she would slap his hand away or that she feared he would do it again and he doesn’t want to do that again. Thanks for uploading.
I lost a lot of respect for him as a character in that choking scene. Daemon is probably the deadliest, most dangerous man in the story , even other badass characters fear him, so for him to get physical with the woman that has loved and looked up to him since she was a child really rubbed me the wrong way.
Rhaenys: 😡
Rhaenyra: 😳

Rhaenys knew Daemon did it.
At least Daemon restrained himself at 2:28 and didn’t lay hands on Rhaenyra
Matt smith what a phenomenal actor.
Damon trying desperately not to smirk 🗿
Daemon: "You think me some kind of monster."
Also Daemon: crushes his wifes skull with a rock so he can remarry
Poor Rhaenyra, she doesn't deserve all of this.
Neither Helaena deserve lose her son.
I’m not sure exactly who Rhaenys is saying “mind yourself” to. But I just love her.
She's saying it to the Lord. I can't remember his name.
obviously to the lord who was a bit disrespectful and out of line.
Alfred Bloom
Daemon such a complex guy. He’s brave, loyal, cool, funny, etc but than he “kills” his wife and now cutting babies heads off. 😅💀
Yeah pretty much.
"To some he was a hero, to others the blackest of villains."
@@TJ-fe7rr The OP was being sarcastic, boo. he's not as complex as you'd think.
Not just any babies, that is his brothers grandson, his own grandnephew. No more removed from him than Luke or Jace are. Those are his grandnephews and yet he kills another without a care.
The way humans can communicate so much with just EYES is absolutely incredible. Dam near a conversation was held in complete silence
Although I’m not Team black or green (it’s all one house both sides having characters I enjoy) I’ll admit I really liked the scene where Daemon is at harrenhal it’s one of the coolest scenes so far! You can tell that no matter how savage he is having the murder of a child (his nephew) starting to weigh on his mind was a great idea!
Biggest Daemon L in the show so far.
They way Daemon slowly looks over at Rhaenys at 0:16 gets me everytime 😭😭
he never did answer the question. and then he's demanding Simon Strong call him your grace 😏
As her husband he kinda is afford that level of respect
I mean he doesn't correct him when he calls him King Consort. I think if he wanted to be the true king he would have corrected that as well
Apparently he is going to start lol but he’ll get his crap together. Tripping in harrenhal is making him nuts

@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 What's your problem ?
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 What's your problem ?
The terms and conditions of Otto were indeed a folie. Daemon is right about that.
This scene shows that Rhaenyra loved Haelena as her sweet sister, not just a half-sibling. I am angry how the show gave us too many time-skips rather than explore the dynamics between the characters (they only showed Rhaenyra and Alicent) before the war kicked off.
I’d love some clips of Aegon this season.
it’s so good to have GOT as engaging as this again.
Technically in the show at least, Daemon gave the order to kill aemond specifically, then the assassin's improvised when they couldn't find him and re interpreted it
It may have been different in the book (I don't recall what Daemon wanted, but blood and cheese were more sadistic and forced Helena to choose a victim, then swapped the target)
I thought Daemon was BS’ing in that scene, he wanted blood, didn’t care who. I don’t buy that a man as skilled and experienced in warfare as he is honestly believed that a city watch brute and a rat catcher would be able to handle a guy like Aemond. No way.
Matt Smith was the best casting decision in this show. There are some great actors in this but he is 100% in his element.
Whats crazy is the Knights watch doesn't even have to listen to the Queen, he serves the wall before the Queen. So he can something like that and no one will or can do anything. You lose the nightwatch you lost the realm.
Daemon: “if you pretend you’re not there they won’t see you.”
I have very little to no sympathy for Rhaenyra here. She has always known who and what Daemon is but now that she is a queen with the responsibility and burden of ruling a kingdom she suddenly has a problem with who and what he has always been. Please!
She proposed the marriage, knowing well who he is and that with him by her side she would not be so easily challenged (her actual words). And now she gives him this crap? Makes zero sense.
Did you all miss the part where he grinned permission for the murder of a small child?

I just love how *everyone* knows it was Daemon but no one wants to say it
I can answer that question for him, short answer and one word. No. And all this time, she was bragging about Alicent being seen for what she was, and now the irony is she knows exactly how Alicent felt and feels now. And that the real enemy was sleeping right next to her.
I feel so bad for her, I love these two together but he truly is to blame for the biggest things that resulted in the worst repercussions-seducing her in the brothel & starting rumors of her losing her virginity to him even though she didn’t & made people look down on her (an easily influenced teen) then abandoned her instead of fighting for her hand (if they got together when she was young this all could’ve been avoided-if hide didn’t have to lie to her father about it-thry didn’t get married and rule together bc viseyrs didn’t allow it smh-or rhaenyra to be wed to aegon either which were both amazing choices)
Then once she’s older makes it seem as though she killed her brother and sisters son jahaerhys making her look evil.
Vaemond was clearly a POS who got on everyone’s nerves and he took his public disrespect too far so i don’t think anyone cared about him going. Regardless of whether she was lying about the kids or not-kings have bastards all the time EVEN aegon has multiple lmao-he still took it too far with the disrespect of a royal heir. Bastards or not, he had no right to be so angry or petty unless he was just sexist. Rip bc corlys is the better brother anyway
What else? Exactly. the big things were daemons fault, yet people cry about why she now has trust issues.
She DID act, but she never once ordered it to be a CHILD. Acting like she doesn’t wanna take action after luke and order aemonds death 😂 Just bc Daemon got it wrong and she’s pissed at him over killing a baby DOESNT make her the bad guy. Funny how she’s made to seem way worse than she is. Halaena wouldn’t be sane enough to be Queen, Alicent is horrible, Aegon R worded multiple women and is a drunk, Aemond is a psychopath. Rhaenys, Rhaenyra w Rhaenys as her hand/Corlys while wed to Daemon for heirs, Jace/Baela have always been the better choices.
3:27 Wasn't Matt also asked this very same question in The Crown?
Erryk was ready to slash 😂
correct me if Im wrong, but he isnt lying about not ordering the murder of the baby, he literally told the rat catcher and other dude that went in to kill aemond, they took it upon themselves to kill the baby when they couldnt find aemond no?
He kind of did .Because when blood and cheese came they said "A son for a son" he said not a brother
Incredible acting by her, that subtle expression of fear thinking he was going to choke her.
At 0:41 - My Boy Sir Erryk was ready to trade blows with that old guy trying his Queen in public.
That was the most aggressive cup smack I've ever seen in my life. What did it ever do to you?
He looks so innocent 😂😂
Rhaenyra had so much propaganda to use against the greens and turn lords, peasants and kingdoms against them like her son being murdered by the greens and her throne being stolen from her by the greens. Daemon ruined her chances to use all that propaganda and gain even more support because of this stupid move that didn’t even go as he planned.
Man. I held some hope that they’d finally be true to the books. Rhaenyra is not some blushing maid in all this. “A son for a son” she knew what daemon meant when he sent word to her. I’m guessing they’re going to have to change even more to keep making her look innocent like they did Catelyn Stark
Whether they win or lose, the lack of a son would guarantee that they could fight for the throne in the future.
Rhaenys “mind yourself” was perfect. I wish she was still alive
Daemon and Rhaenyra's argument bit similar to Diego and Shira's argument
Guys chill… it was a mistake 🤷♂️
Rhenys knew the second they said it who did it
I have waited for that scene so that people would see Daemon for the monster he really is.
I LOVE this scene lol I don’t know why but I do I love the way she said Haelena name
Deamon knew aemond is real threat
Their trying so hard to make Rhaenyra "good". They should stick more closely to the book material.
That looks rhaenyes gives Damien 😂😂😂
I like how everyone starts to look at Daemon hAHAHAH
I love that Rhaenys was the first out of everyone to clock Daemon. I know she also had her own personal reservations about him, but I like to think in her mind she was like "Who on our team would send an assassin to kill a royal prince in his own bed without Rhaenrya's permission? They'd have to be incredibly bloodthirsty, toweringly arrogant, and half mad. ...Oh."
no matter how much he tries to defend and refuse his actions, he's only trying such to look good in nyra's eyes. he's not a least bit sorry about it. hell's the guy's smirking at the news.
How does Matt Smith play a man struggling with a woman reading through his bullshit so very well...?
IMO, this show rivals GOT in quality. It doesn't have the depth of detail and plotting, but the acting, writing, sets and VX are top notch.
