@Task and Purpose Cappy , I love your videos. Thank you for explaining war stuff , weapons stuff 😊👍. I know nothing about those topics . I'd love ❤️ for you to explain and compare weapons systems US has given Ukraine compared to Israeli armed forces weapons. I notice the Israelis af have (seems to be ) way way more powerful weapons than what we 🇺🇸 have given Ukraine 🇺🇦 🥺😦 . I wish whatever weapons Israelis are using, we 🇺🇸 would provide to Ukraine, for the win Thank you for your videos Slava Cappy 👍😊🇺🇸

One little note: It is not the matter of belief that both Jewish Temples were located in Jerusalem. It is an archeological fact. The science, baby. On the other hand the story of Muhamed ascending to heaven from there is based on belief of some muslims, not even all muslims.
I really like these, surprisingly unbiased videos.
1:15 you skipped over the fact that isreal actually funded and helped and wanted hamas to win out to make a separated Palestine between gaza and west bank

A reporting piece that points at both sides of the conflict while mantaining a great flow of info? amazing! You're a king Cappy.
He didn’t mention the 2018 peaceful protests
Both sides? lol the whole thing seemed like a big list of excuses as to why Israel is justified in its occupation, and murdering civilians wholesale.
The VAST majority of US citizens, left or right, want a cease fire, and are not choosing a "side" because those sides are both terrible. Its a false choice anyways. Normal people are on the side of the innocent civilians. Not Hamas. Not Israel. The people who just want to live.

Mainstream media has become unbearable for me. I'm glad a channel like this exists. Thx
Glad that Egypt's blockade of Gaza is at least mentioned.
Almost nobody does.
so true
Seriously?? Sisi is just a puppet in the hands of Israelis and American. He is as guilty as both of them in the Gazan Genocide.
literally all surrounding countries tried to accept palestinians in their countries and every time it failed due to them creating terror orgs/ fighting with locals. Egypt doesnt want them either and blockades them, says it has no place for them while they have 1.002m km^2 in land
Egypt's always considered Hamas as a of the Islamic brotherhood after all, which it classifies as terrorist organization. You wouldn't a country governed by that poisoning yours.
Egypt proved that Arab unity/ solidarity is a lie
This was very comprehensive and balanced. Well done Task and Purpose crew! Thank you for making a very complicated situation a little less confusing.
😂 This is far from balanced. It's the IDFs perspective
Yeah. I agree with the other commenter. It’s not balanced. I’m not sure how you would think that.
These actions seem reasonable and justified. But, this is like your buddy telling you about the fight he has with his girl, and then later you hear her side and it’s wildly different.
Don’t get me wrong. Hamas has shown they cannot be trusted. But, that doesn’t make hearing Israel’s side balanced.
If this is balanced no wonder the USMC continually enter into conflicts heavy handedly with zero knowledge of the history of the conflict and zero thought into an exit strategy or ceasefire. It just proves the military is in existence for one purpose.... to create wars in order to create millionaires. "We keep you safe while you're asleep" bollocks is the brain dead answer the military wants your unthinking brain mass to utter
@zero11010 this is the heavily researched side if you where to listen to the hamas side all youre going to get is propaganda
Balanced or not, a deeper undersatning of the recent (decades old) history is a useful, if painful, reminder of what's in living memory of the people on the ground. What the middle east needs is a way out of the anger and hatred to a headspace where peace can begin to take hold. Given the long history of the region (back to 5,000 Years Ago), the likelyhood of this happening is low. The region needs a peace leader, like Gandhi was for India. Not more hard fisted leadership playing to their base (on all sides, even non-regional players).
Task&purpose, Chris, is a fundamental channel. The values of non bias are extremely clear. We all appreciate your thorough research and commitment to facts. Congratulations and keep going.
Small correction: The court case that sparked the 2021 conflict was not really about rent payments; It was a legal dispute about the ownership of the houses in the neighborhood, which had changed hands twice since 1948. Legally, the houses were owned by the original Jewish residents, but the current Palestinian residents also enjoyed legal protection as long-term renters, and could not be evicted even if they stopped paying rent. Over decades, the case went all the way up to the Israeli Supreme Court, which attempted to broker a compromise. In 2021 it failed to do so, and had to call the case back to trial. At that point, Palestinian protests over the matter turned into a riot inside Al-Aqsa, which then flared into a mini-uprising of Arabs both in the West Bank and inside Israel. Hamas simply decided to join in.
To add to this, the families in that neighborhood were originally displaced from their homes by Israel during the Nakba of 1948 and moved into that neighborhood where they built their own houses on it. Later in 67 when the west bank fell under Israeli occupation the Israelis wanted to force them to pay rent while not allowing them to return back to their original homes prior to 48
@@SyrianApostate That's correct, but for clarification, there was a big legal difference between their original neighborhood and the new one, which meant that Israel could not move them back to their old neighborhood even if it wanted to. The whole issue stems from a bureaucratic f***-up by Jordanian authorities after they took over the neighborhood in 1948.
@@SyrianApostatethat is mostly technically correct, though most 1948 Arab refugees left on their own at the prompting of the attacking Arab armies to leave and let their armies clear the land of the Jews. When that failed, the Arab governments refused to negotiate a peaceful return of the refugees abd refused to integrate the refugees, planning to compound a humanitarian crisis to play it against Israel. I still think it would have been just to gift the Arab families those homes, which the Israeli government could have done using eminent domain laws - but the Israel government is also wholly uninterested in solving the refugee crisis peacefully inside the area between the Mediterranean and Jordan, and would rather continue the suffering in some kind of misguided or malicious intent (probably both) for the Arab countries to accept and integrate the refugees - which the Arab governments also have some good reasons not to, in addition to the bad ones that I mentioned above.
@@guss77 While it is true that many Palestinians fled on their own, that doesn't apply for the entire 750k who were displaced, since Israeli militias and forces forcibly removed many Palestinians off their lands as documented by Israeli historian Ilan Pape. Further the Palestinians who fled did so under the circumstances of several massacres commited by Jewish militias in 47/48. In any case regardless of how they left the territory, to this day Israel refuses to allow them back. While it simultaneously guarantees the right of "return" to any person with Jewish heritage anywhere around the world. It goes without saying that some random Jewish person born in New York does not have much connection to the land of Israel/Palestine in order for them to "return". However you frame this it is fundamentally unjust.
Its worthy to note that up to 75% of the population of Gaza today fall under this category.

Because the warmonger you put in Office has done everything on his power to trigger this war, Netanyahu and his party are a cancer the Israeli themselves helped to grow, he goes against all the peace movements previous Israelí politicians did, justified the Jerusalem evictions and riots of the last years and the illegal settlements on the West bank, let alone the constant bombardments on Gaza, like what did you all expect? There is some biased calling hamas names terrorists. Still good video
@@Mohammed-rw3hv I don’t see this as biased: PLO was also considered a terrorist organization once but it is now a recognized, legitimate and legal organization.
Also, the illegal occupation and colonization of the West Bank as were the multiple corruption scandals around Netanyahu.
@@alexfortin7209overall it’s a good video but I do feel like there’s bias that pokes through. Like not mentioning that the bombings in the roads and border crossings made the evacuation orders essentially useless as they completely destroyed the ability for civilians to flee. Or when he mentioned during the withdrawal that Israel didn’t want to totally destroy Hamas he didn’t mention that they actually had helped support their rise to power in the first place. He also didn’t mention that Hamas doesn’t operate in the West Bank meaning that it’s incredibly unlikely that they were behind the abduction. He also didn’t point out how before the creation of Israel Jews Muslims and Christians all shared access to their religious sites in a peaceful non contentious way and they only became inflamed after Israel started putting controls over them. When he mentions the evictions for not paying rent and the settlers moving in he didn’t say anything about the larger context of evictions which use complicated legal applications on strict deadlines as well as rejecting building permits (for buildings that are typically older than Israel) as a means of forcing evictions. Those 75 cases were only as contentious as they were because of their timing and the circumstances around the eviction tactics used by Israel in the West Bank. He also leaves out that Israel has never provided any proof that the independent news organizations they blew up were actually being used by Hamas to jam the iron dome. All of these things are pretty important in understanding the motivations and tactics of both sides. But they all happen to favor Israel from a pr standpoint.
The big thing that is never mentioned Is that the entire region has been in a permanent state of chaos and conflict since biblical times because of a lack of ressources - water, materials, etc for 3000-4000 years.
In contrast, some parts of Europe have been politically and socially stable for 1,000 years.
@@alexfortin7209 that’s actually not true though. The Levant had a looong period of mostly peace and the current conflict only dates back to the 1940’s before that there weren’t many issues there going back essentially to the crusades. Meanwhile until the end of WW2 Europe has had constant conflict every couple decades for pretty much all of history. The regions of Europe that were stable for a thousand of years are mostly the size of Israel + Palestine. So we’re not counting Asia Minor as a whole here the same way you’re not counting an entire region of Europe as a whole.
Really great production on this video with such a sensitive topic. Appreciate all of your content. Thank you (and veterans in the comments) for your service
Wow! What an amazing report cover!
Well done🙌🏻
Your report includes a wealth of info most news outlets don't provide. A refreshingly balanced and nuanced, while objective, video.
I'd like to know: those numbers of combatants vs civilians killed in 2014 - how does it compare to other military engagements by the West. Such as in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria? How about the 89% of precision bombs and (an astonishing) 99% accuracy rate?
it doesnt compare (if you even believe the accuracy rate claimed in the engagements by the West)
It’s higher by such a drastic percentage that those numbers are almost guaranteed to not be remotely accurate. Reports showed that US precision strikes had up to an 80% collateral rate while we’re supposed to believe those same weapons in a much more densely populated area had a 1% collateral rate? Something seems pretty fishy there.
@@DarkKnight-rf2uu I wonder how it compares to the fight against ISIS.
I wonder if there are any independent sources of verification for casualties on either side. Obviously we can't take anyone's word for it, especially a terrorist org.
I believe it's worth mentioning that in 1,5 year of war in Ukraine about 10 000 of civilians were killed in 40 million country, even though Russia is definitely accused and guilty of multiple attacks on civilians. So far in Palestine there were some 3000 killed people that are below 18 years old, and that's in some 20 days, which I believe shows huge problem with Israel's response - even though they're definitely capable of conducting very precise airstrikes.
Well well, another very good, high quality, in depth and comprehensive analysis that leaves us well informed. Thanks! :D

Very good analysis. Two minor fixes: East Jerusalem was annexed and is not under military occupation. It is a part of the Jerusalem municipality.
Second, the dome of the rock is not "believed" to be the place of the first and second Jewish temple, it is the actual historical place.
Also important, the dome and El-Aksa are built on top of the remnants of the temple and they are not the most sacred place for Islam. Actually they are the 3rd most sacred place for Islam and Jerusalem is not even mentioned in the Koran
East Jerusalem is internationally still regarded as an occupied part of Palestine.
@@eljanrimsa5843 well, that might be, but the reality is that the Israeli law is applied in east Jerusalem, its residents are Israeli citizens, it receives municipal services from the Jerusalem municipality, and the police enforces the law, not the military. It is considered an integral part of Jerusalem and of the state of Israel for all day-to-day matters, so just saying that east Jerusalem is under a military occupation in this context is very misleading.
BTW, the west bank is internationally considered as a "Land in dispute", which is different from "occupied lands", that's because Israel has conquered it from Jordan, which didn't have international recognition over its governance either. It is not considered "an occupied part of Palestine", because there is no such state.
@@ElPhaz A majority of UN members recognize the State of Palestine, and even those who don' recognize the state, recognize the authority of the PNA. @@eljanrimsa5843 "land in dispute" is the UN definition, not Israel's. The UN doesn't recognise the state of Palestine, as do the majority of its members (otherwise it was recognised as a state by the UN). it is considered an ethnic autonomy, according to the Oslo agreements. Just because some terrorists call a land their own doesn't make it so.
Interesting note: My uncle was a tank mechanic in the Korean war, and later became a hands-on engineer at IH to develop bulldozers like the D4.
My Church (Presbyterian Church USA) made a concerted effort to go to Palestine in 2007 and conduct fact-finding before recommending divestment, including also from International Harvester because D4 Bulldozers were knocking down Palestinian villages in the West Bank, and running over villagers.
American Zionists including my own dual-citizen AIPAC US Congressman, called us "terrorists", because we dared to talk to Palestinian leaders in a dialogue.
It is hard to be sympathetic with Israel when they are so ready to label anyone as "terrorists", including the Christian church and the United Nations.
Considering the ex PM from Israel who tried to find a diplomatic solution was killed by another Israeli and that they have one of the most warmonger leaders (Netanyahu) in office, don't expect dialogue to be one of their priorities today
